Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
For basic images, Ai is used. In addition, most of the programs used in the game use programs generated in Ai.
The use of AI in Back to Zero is used for the code of the game.
Some parts of the game's code and store materials were assisted by generative AI tools during development. These tools were used as a productivity aid to help write or improve scripts. All final logic was reviewed and integrated manually. No AI is used to generate content during gameplay.
※Some 3D models, textures, in-game assets, and enemy AI behaviors in this game were created or assisted using AI technologies.
game environment texture generation
The cover images of this game were designed and created thanks to artificial intelligence.
Game logo and menu images made with ai software
This game uses AI tools to assist with content creation. Some backgrounds, character sprites, and UI elements were generated with AI and then manually refined to match the game's art style. Additionally, ChatGPT was used to support the writing of in-game dialogue and logic scripting. No AI-generated content is used during live gameplay.
Image arts and part of background music contain AI
AI tools were used during development to support creative tasks. The game’s cover image was generated using Grok and later manually edited and masked. Voiceovers were created using ElevenLabs. ChatGPT and Grok were used to help brainstorm narrative and dialogue ideas, but all final writing and design decisions were made by the developer. No AI systems are present during gameplay, and players do not interact with or influence any generative AI. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated before being included in the game or its marketing materials. This game uses artificial intelligence to create some images and sounds. It is also used to create unique music and songs.
Artificial intelligence was used to process certain images in the game.
Cabin Curse uses generative AI tools to assist with development. Specifically, AI was used to help create early concept art, generate a few ambient music tracks, and design minor in-world details such as product labels on props (e.g., mugs, cereal boxes). No AI is used to generate content during gameplay, and all AI-generated assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
We used AI for quick prototyping and then to edit some of our images to meet the various image size requirements Steam requires.
We use AI-generated textures and background elements for some 3D objects, which are then retouched and implemented in the game.
Some art pictures were generated by AI first, but then modified by our art team.
We used AI for rapid prototyping or for minor edits to locked resources. A few resources stayed in the game.

Our game utilizes neural networks for creating visually stunning and immersive environments. AI technology is employed in the production pipeline to assist in rendering backgrounds and character designs, ensuring a unique and high-quality artistic style. While AI aids in the creative process, all generated content is carefully reviewed, refined, and finalized by our team of professional artists to meet the highest standards of originality and quality.
Less than 4 assets utilized Midjourney tech to finalize the look of some environments and some indexing. This game is a labor of love and is overwhelmingly designed, animated, coded, and composed by humans.
