Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We used AI-assisted tools to help create some visual assets and metadata (e.g., movie cover designs and marketing art). All content was reviewed and refined by our development team to ensure quality and legal compliance.
Some in-game voice dialogue is generated using AI text-to-speech tools. All dialogue is pre-generated by the developer and ships with the game (not generated live during gameplay). No external AI service is required while playing.
To ensure that players from diverse cultural backgrounds can fully immerse themselves in the narrative, AI-assisted tools were utilized for localization purposes. This allows us to bridge language barriers and make the game accessible to a global audience.
There are two characters in the game that give a comedic running commentary of things that are happening in-game, things the player is doing and also as part of the tutorial to teach the player how to cook in the kitchen. The voices for these two characters are using pre-made AI generated sentences.
This game uses limited pre-generated AI-assisted content for marketing and presentation purposes only (such as selected icons or logo concepts).
No AI-generated content is used during gameplay, and the game does not generate text, images, audio, or other content in real time using AI.
All gameplay systems, assets, and mechanics are created and controlled by the developer.
Since our team is very small, due to a lack of certain skills and time, for now we had to use AI to create some of the icons and music in our game, as placeholders that will be replaced by handcrafted art in the future. All other visual content was created by real people.
This game uses generative AI tools for the creation of certain static visual assets, including background images, icons, the world map, marketing materials, and character portraits.
No generative AI is used to generate gameplay logic, simulations, text content, or dynamic in-game systems. All gameplay mechanics and simulation systems are fully handcrafted and deterministic.
This game makes use of pre-generated AI content.
Usage Details: Visual assets (specifically item sprites) and sound effects were created using generative AI software. The AI served as the primary tool for generating the foundational materials.
Verification: We confirm that all content used is free of illegal or copyright-infringing material.

Generative AI tools were used during the development process to assist with coding and debugging. Additionally, AI tools were utilized to create and edit certain visual assets for the user interface (UI) and store page marketing materials. All content generated or modified by AI has been manually reviewed and finalized by the developer.
This game uses generative AI tools during development: as a coding assistant to optimize workflow, for some visual assets, for writing and editing in-game text, and for localization. I know AI-assisted development isn't for everyone, and that's fair.
Prime Protocol used generative AI tools during development to assist with drafting and iterating on code and to create some pre-rendered marketing imagery. All content is reviewed and integrated by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay; the game does not live-generate text, images, audio, or code, and players cannot input prompts.
Some in-game and store artwork assets were generated with the assistance of AI tools and then edited and integrated by the developer. No copyrighted material was intentionally used.
I am a solo indie developer with limited time and funds. I use AI art to help in places where my personal pixel art skills are lacking. Many/most all of these pieces get hand cleaned up by me to ensure overall aesthetics, feel, and theme are maintained.
Specific usages of AI Art:
Character/Armor Art - (The characters are the focal pieces of the game. I wanted them clean with the gritty overtones and proper shading. My art is not there yet)
Location Backgrounds - (The floor the character is seen walking on is largely created by AI with touch ups to ensure proper parallax looping)
The pixel art hands in the game's logo/title images - (I'm terrible with pixel art hands... something about the shading)
AI was used only to generate early marketing concept images. All gameplay systems, in-game assets, mechanics, and code are entirely created by the developer. No AI is used in gameplay or player-facing systems.
Game Torch includes pre-generated AI content created with generative AI tools during development (e.g., some audiovisual assets and text, plus copy drafted for marketing/internal curation). All outputs are reviewed by a human. Game Torch does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay (nothing is generated at runtime in response to player input).
We use generative AI only for temporary placeholder images during development. All AI-generated placeholders will be removed and replaced with final human-created artwork before release.
As a solo developer some art assets used during the development of the game are generated using AI models with art references. Should the game be successful it is my hope to slowly replace these generated assets.
