Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
All 3D models and textures were created by humans. Some sound assets and UI graphics were created using generative AI and edited and supervised by humans.
Generative AI tools were used during development to support creation of the artwork featured on some of the collectible cards and UI. All AI-generated content was created before release, curated and integrated into the game by the developer. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
AI tools were used in the creation of this game.
This game uses generative AI tools. Some art assets, texts and portions of the game's code were created with the assistance of generative AI during development. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before release. The game does not use generative AI in real time during gameplay.
This game utilizes AI during gameplay to dynamically generate partial narrative texts and character dialogue in real time based on game progress, character status, and player choices, which may result in varying text content across different playthroughs. To mitigate the risk of inappropriate output, the game enforces rule constraints, sensitive content detection, and keyword filtering on both AI prompts and generated responses. Any non-compliant content will be blocked or replaced accordingly.
I use AI to support developing code, graphics and some promotional materials.

Some art was made with the help of AI
Generative AI tools were used to create voice-over content for the game. The generated voice content was reviewed and edited by the development team before being implemented in the game.
AI tools were used during development to assist with asset creation, texture generation, and development workflows. All AI-generated content was reviewed, modified, and curated by the development team.
AI translated languages
AI tools were used during development to assist with asset creation, texture generation, and development workflows. All AI-generated content was reviewed, modified, and curated by the development team.
Some pre-rendered assets were created with the help of generative AI during development: 2D line-art images (mascot sprites, badges, store artwork), portions of the game code, and drafts of store/in-game text (human-reviewed). Nothing is generated at runtime, and the game never connects to any AI service while you play. Sound effects are procedurally synthesized without AI.
AI has been used to generate capsule art as well as in-game dialogue. NPC voices are AI
Artwork used on the Steam store page was created with the assistance of generative AI and was subsequently manually edited, refined, and improved. AI tools were also used to assist with the localization of the Steam store page.
This game uses AI to assist in generating background music, art design, and multilingual translations.
Environments and environmental artwork are not created using generative AI. Generative AI is used as part of the early development workflow for prototyping some creature artwork, which is going to be replaced during development.
In-game 3D props, audio sound effects, etc.
This game includes content created with the help of AI during development. Images (34): backgrounds, the logo and in-game objects were created using OpenAI's image generation (gpt-image), then edited by the developer. 34 of the 66 sprites in the shipping build originate this way. UI elements and one texture (13) and sound effects (21): these were designed by AI (Claude) and implemented as the developer's own program code. They are not the output of an image or audio generation model; the shapes and waveforms are produced by deterministic processing. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime. Music is licensed from a purchased royalty-free library and involves no AI. Stage design is the developer's own work.
The background images and animals pictures are pre-rendered AI art
Coquí Crusader was made with AI-assisted tools under the developer's direction. The coquí mascot logo and the background music were AI-generated. AI coding assistance was used to build the game and to help write its in-game and store text, all reviewed by the developer. Every design decision was made by the developer: the mechanics, the progression and balance, and the Puerto Rican setting — the ten zones based on real landmarks, the folklore creatures from Taíno legend, and the Spanish localization. No content is generated during gameplay, and the game never connects to any external AI service.
Some of the art assets in the game were created using AI.
Some pre-rendered 2D art was created with the assistance of generative AI tools: the playable characters' animation frames, world backgrounds and tile art were generated from the developer's original character and world designs, then hand-edited, aligned and baked into final game assets by the developer. A small number of sound effects were also created with AI audio tools and then mixed by hand. The store page capsule images are composed from the same AI-assisted paintings plus hand-set typography. All AI-assisted content is pre-rendered, was reviewed by the developer before shipping, and no content is generated by AI at runtime.
Generative AI tools were used during development to help create some content, including the English localization, music and sound effects, the 3D-rendered block art pipeline, and parts of the store/marketing materials. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and refined by the developer. No content is generated by AI at runtime.
This game was created by an independent developer. Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with programming, debugging, text editing, and the initial localization of Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. All AI-assisted content was manually reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer. The game does not use generative AI to create content during gameplay, and player data is not used for AI training.

AI-generated content is used in the following areas of this game: - Icons: Some card icon artwork was AI-assisted. - Localization: All translated text was generated using AI. - Game balance: Adjustments were guided by AI-based simulation. - Help / guide / character text: Generated with AI, then edited by the developer. - Story text: AI was used during early drafting, but nearly all of it has been rewritten by the developer.
Generative AI was used in the creation of graphical assets and in the localization of this game.
AI (WAN 2.2) was used to help generate idle animation frames from 100% original, human-made art. All animations were reviewed and curated by the developer before being included in the game.
Some pre-generated visual assets used in Roulettegeddon, including portions of promotional artwork and certain in-game visual elements, were created or refined with the assistance of generative AI. The game's gameplay, mechanics, and player progression do not rely on AI-generated content during play.
1. Ensure that the game content does not include illegal or infringing material, such as violations of laws and regulations or infringement of others' intellectual property rights (e.g., plagiarism of artwork, code, etc.). 2. Consistency with Marketing Materials: The actual content of the game must align with the marketing materials, ensuring no discrepancies such as claiming an AI-generated art style or unique gameplay features in promotions that do not exist in the actual game.
Rhythm Nebula's chart generation runs totally offline, on your local hardware. None of the art, music, or other assets are AI-generated.
There is no AI-generated art or audio anywhere in this game. Every sprite, animation and character design is hand-drawn by me. The game has no audio at all, and the music in the trailer is my own work too. Nothing is generated while the game runs, and it never connects to an AI service. AI was used to help with text, in three places. The store page description and short description, in all 11 languages. Translating the interface labels into the 10 languages other than English. There are only 24 strings in the whole game and no prose of any kind: 11 are labels like "Clear all" and "Cancel", and the other 13 are bird names, which are the real common names of each species, looked up per language rather than made up. Some of our Steam community and marketing posts. Chinese (both) I checked myself, and Japanese was checked at N2. Korean, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese and German have not been checked by a native speaker.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with creating and refining some pre-generated visual assets and promotional artwork. All AI-assisted content was reviewed before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
Some audio and text translations are powered by AI
Generative AI was used in the creation of some artwork and music. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
Art assets are AI-generated with subsequent manual refinement.
The game's text (Korean and English) was written with the help of an AI assistant, based on the developer's research into traditional Korean architecture, and was fact-checked and reviewed by the developer before shipping. The English text follows a Korean–English glossary of traditional architecture terms prepared and approved by the developer. No other shipped content is AI-generated: all 3D models, buildings and characters are built procedurally in code, and the background music is licensed traditional Korean music (CC BY).

The application includes a small set of pre-generated pixel-art example assets, including default cat character poses, icons, and promotional visuals. They were created with generative AI assistance during development and curated as static demonstration content shipped with the application. The product does not generate AI content at runtime and does not embed, call, or operate a generative AI model or service. Its AI Material Assistant only provides editable prompt templates and links to third-party services outside the application. Players may import their own images, GIFs, audio, and Workshop content.
Some graphics, music, and translations were initially generated by AI and subsequently revised by humans.
The pixel art in this game was created with an AI image generation tool (Pixellab). Generated art is never used as-is: the style, proportions and palette standards are set by a human, every sprite is reviewed by eye, and anything off-standard is rejected and redone. Grounding, animation continuity and color consistency are likewise human-checked before adoption. Game design, balance and specification decisions are made by a human. AI-assisted tools are also used in the development process. Nothing is generated by AI at runtime (pre-generated content only).
AI tools were used to generate in-game text.
Game icon and Steam capsules were made with ai support
Some of this game's shipped assets were created with the assistance of generative AI and then manually curated and edited by the developers: background artwork (landscape silhouettes), the current music tracks (temporary, until our hand-crafted soundtrack is finished), and parts of the English localization. No content is generated by AI at runtime, and the game does not connect to any AI services.
