Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

graphic assets used in this game and its marketing materials were created with the help of generative AI tools.
Some of the game's visual assets and parts of the soundtrack were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. These AI-generated outputs were then manually edited, curated, and refined by the developers before being included in the game. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated; no live-generated AI content is used during gameplay.
Menu images, and select sprites were created using generative AI and manually edited.
This game subtly experiments with AI-assisted tools in parts of the experience and in some of the marketing images.
Used for some images, 3D models, and audio.
AI tools were used during development to assist with post-processing of store page images and internal concept art. Images used on the store page originate from the game itself, with AI tools used to help improve sharpness, clarity, and to adapt images to required dimensions. All AI-assisted images were manually reviewed and selected by the developer. No AI-generated content is used during gameplay, and no AI is used to dynamically generate visuals, dialogue, audio, or other content while the game is running.
Human touch + AI. Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used to enhance code efficiency and optimize selected graphical elements, improving the overall performance and visual quality of the project — while preserving its handcrafted style and unique artistic identity.
This game uses AI tools during development to assist with programming support and to generate some visual and textual assets. No live or in-game AI content is generated during gameplay. All AI-assisted content is manually reviewed and integrated to ensure it meets the game’s design and quality standards.
3D models and some 2D visuals / textures are made by AI assisted
AI was used as a tool to assist with coding and text editing.
All images used for the game's visuals were generated using the Bing Image Creator (Microsoft Copilot Designer). The background music includes tracks that were created and mastered using generative AI. No AI was involved in coding or core game design
In RoleMIAster, a local AI acts as your personal Game Master. It creates worlds, characters, quests, and items in real time, interprets your actions, and narrates the consequences dynamically, offering a unique and ever-changing role-playing experience.
Before I get into this, I'd like to say that I am a professional game designer, writer, sprite artist, video animator, music producer, and audio engineer. I worked in the industry for a number of years, and deciding on whether or not to use gen AI was not something I took lightly. I know there are a lot of feelings about this right now, and I understand why a lot of people are hurting, but ultimately, I felt that it enhances the will and talent of the end user. I use programs that claim they are trained on models that own the rights to the content, or are trained on open source materials. This game uses a limited amount of generative AI for content. About 50% of the art assets are generated, then carefully tailored for visual cohesion. Currently, very little animation is done with generative AI, but this could change in the future. The music is 100% human created by Punch Deck. The voiceover is 100% generative AI. Depending on funding, this could change in the future.

The four assets in this work—one UI component and three landscape paintings used as wall decorations (frames not included)—were produced using additional AI for refinement. None of them were created by AI from the ground up. AI helped with grammatical corrections for in-game text, which were then carefully reviewed and adjusted by hand. We only consider AI to be a supportive tool. Every detail is meticulously crafted with human intent, as our creative process is still firmly anchored in manual craftsmanship.
This game uses AI-assisted images, text, and code created during development; all content was reviewed and edited by the developer, and no AI content is generated during gameplay.
AI was used exclusively for the marketing text
Some UI elements and 2D art assets have been made with AI. Some sound effects have been made or mixed with elements containing AI generated content. The store page capsule art background contains AI generated content.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
In this game, we use AI for refactoring and debugging the program code, as well as for the background images and background music.
Some of the game's visual assets and store page artwork were created using AI-assisted tools during development. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay. All gameplay behavior, mechanics and code are manually created.
Sound and one image had been generated by AI. If you want to collaborate to change that please contact the creator.
This game uses generative AI technology for a small portion of its 3D models.
Some visual materials of the game (such as logo, banner, or icon designs) were created using generative AI tools and then refined by the developer. All gameplay content and programming were fully created by the developer.
AI is used to translate Japanese text into other languages, primarily for settings screens and tutorials. I plan to hire professional localization services once I have the funds.
I just use it to fix bugs in my game and generate the 2D sprites
Background images in game made by a friend, who utilized AI for help.
I use AI to help me code and convert recorded melodies into full songs and adjust the BPM.
Some parts of the game trailer include AI-generated content.
Some art assets generated via AI
Some image assets are generated or edited using these tools, but all illustrations are ultimately created by an artist. Furthermore, these tools were used to produce animations for the trailer.
Cinematic and soundtrack
AI is used to generate music, illustrations, character motions for some stages, and to translate in-game text.
ForgeRun does not use AI to generate gameplay content, code, or behavior during gameplay. All in-game systems, visuals, and logic are manually designed and scripted. However, AI tools were used outside of the game for marketing and support materials, such as assisting with text writing, image concepts, and store page descriptions.
AI-generated content has been used very little in the game: text correction and translation for the Steam page and in-game text. UI generation, which will likely be replaced later with non-AI-created assets. Occasional code corrections, but 90% of the code was written by myself.
“Pre-Generated AI Content” – Used for promotional materials only
AI is used for entire code of the game, text, arts, sounds and music.
The title screen was created using generative AI.
whenever I write code, I ask Ai to polish my code, because my code is not that clean. for some of the art, I draw rough sketches and ask ai to make a more appealing version of it
AI was used to generate some of the graphics, which were then further edited by me (or a family member). All content generated by AI was ultimately always checked and edited before it was added to the game's resources.
Cards were created using an AI image generator.
Some of the graphics were inspired from AI references
Some artwork asset. Game code assistant.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
AI was used only to assist in the creation of the background track "Drift King," present in the currently implemented level, with the intent of replacing it once our team works with a proper composer or sound designer. All remaining game content was fully developed by our indie team.
Some game art and images have been produced with the assistance of AI. Some game code has been created with the assistance of AI
This game uses pre-generated AI only for certain 2D background images and promotional store visuals. These assets were created before release and remain fixed. The game does not include any live AI generation during gameplay.
AI has partially been used to help with the creation of the intro song, some art and 3D meshes.
Some assets and parts of the code were created using generative AI. All content is original and does not infringe on any copyrights or intellectual property.
