Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
It has been used in the store page images.
Generative AI was used to create and/or assist with some promotional and marketing materials for the game, including store capsule artwork, cover images, and other store page visuals. Generative AI was not used to generate gameplay content or content during gameplay.
I developed this game entirely on my own, handling all the game design, hand-drawn artwork, and music composition myself. Only the translations/localizations were generated by AI.
The artwork was made by hand, AI was used to upscale the images.
Some assets were created using AI. I'm not as artist lol.
Music and lyrics written by Richard Robledo. Music composed by hand in LMMS digital audio workstation, and orchestrated into larger pieces with Suno AI. Pixel art depictions of authors generated by Nano Banana 2.
As a small independent developer, obviously AI tools was used to assist in the development of this game, including working on graphical elements as well as writing code.
Generative AI was used during development to assist with the creation of some pre-generated assets. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to any external AI services.
Generative AI was used to create some visual elements of the game's main menu and to assist with programming during development. Claude was used as a coding assistant to help write, review, and troubleshoot code.
"The help of an AI assistant has been used during the entire development process, including for content such as sound and localization."
AI was used to assist with the development of the underlying code of this game
Generative AI was used to draft this game's localized interface text (English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese); every line was reviewed and edited by the developer before shipping. The Han character data, spell descriptions and store artwork are not AI-generated: the characters come from Unicode IDS and public dictionary data, the spell descriptions are assembled by a deterministic algorithm from hand-written word pools, and the store images and trailer are drawn programmatically from real in-game captures. No AI runs during gameplay, and the game does not connect to any external AI service.
* Some artwork was created with reference to concept images generated by generative AI * Language localization
Generative AI was used in a limited, supporting role during development: • Portions of this store page description were drafted with the help of AI text tools and then reviewed and edited by the developer. • A small number of icons (used on the store page) were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools and refined by the developer. The game itself does not use generative AI at runtime.
Some visual and audio content was created using AI.
AI-assisted tools were used in the creation and refinement of the Steam page capsule artwork, as well as for selected UI elements.
This game uses generative AI tools to help create static visual assets, including card illustrations and background artwork. All AI-generated content is produced during development and does not change during gameplay — nothing is generated in real time.
We have AI placeholders for audio and visual 2D placements (i.e logo, 2D art). The rest of assets are purchased through Unity or hand made as of writing this (8/14/2026)
This game was developed with the help of generative AI. - Generative AI was used to write and translate text (slime descriptions, in-game wording, and the English localisation). All of it was reviewed and edited by a human. - Generative AI was also used to write program code. - The slime pixel art is not image-generated. It is drawn by a rendering program written for this game. - No AI runs while the game is playing. The game makes no network connections and calls no AI models.
Some of the standing pictures and background pictures are generated by AI and editored by human.
AI was used to help generate the visual artwork in the game.
3D models for props and buildings have been generated with code developed by AI. The game splash screens and logo have been generated by AI. Music is generated live with code developed by AI.
Parts of the written text on this store page were drafted with the help of an AI assistant and then reviewed and edited by us before publishing. No generative AI is used inside the game itself. The artwork, audio and video in Dubbed are made by us or performed by the players, and nothing is generated at runtime.
This game icons and artwork include AI-generated assets.
This game was made possible with assistance from an agentic AI coding tool.
Solo dev used generative AI for code.
I use AI for translating.
AI was used to speed up code development. Assets for the game were not generated.
We used generative AI tools to assist in creating some assets, including but not limited to upscaling.
Generative AI tools were only used to assist with writing some C# code scripts during development and to translate/draft the text descriptions for the Steam Store page. There are no AI-generated visual (art/UI) or audio assets included in the game.
We used a Gen AI powered tool to localize the following: - (in some languages) In-game text - (in some languages) Steam store descriptions We plan to replace these with human translation and LQA when we can afford it. Until then, we are using Gen AI temporarily.
Some visual assets, including card illustrations and icons were created with the assistance of generative AI tools.
This game includes an optional AI assistant. Players may use the AI tools during gameplay for in‑game assistance such as balloon‑shooting, feeding and other actions. No AI‑generated content will be produced. During development, generative AI tools were used to assist with programming and some pre‑generated text. All AI‑assisted text included in the game was reviewed and edited by the development team. No AI was used to generate the game's artwork or music. All artwork and music were created by human artists and musicians.
Generative AI technologies were utilized during the development of this project in the following ways: 1. Visual Art: AI tools were used to assist in generating and optimizing certain visual assets (such as table backgrounds, card backs, and UI elements). 2. Translation: AI was used to assist in the multi-language localization of in-game text and rule descriptions.
Generative AI tools were used during the development of this game and in the creation of some of its visual, audio, and technical content. AI was used to create and refine the background, logo, and related visual elements. AI-assisted tools were used to create and prepare some of the sound effects. AI-powered coding tools were used for code generation, autocomplete, and development assistance. AI-generated designs were selected, edited, and enhanced for use in some of the game's visual content. Some visuals were selected from AI-generated designs and subsequently enhanced and upscaled. All AI-generated or AI-assisted content was reviewed, selected, edited, and adapted by the developer before being used in the game.
This game uses an open-source language model (Qwen2.5) bundled with the game to generate real-time NPC dialogue and ambient chatter entirely offline on the player's own machine via llama.cpp. No external server, no third-party API, and no internet connection are required. Players can toggle this feature on or off. The model runs locally using the player's CPU — no data is uploaded, collected, stored, or used for training.
Generative AI was used to create artwork, and some sound effects. All generated content was tested automatically and reviewed by human. Background Music, and some sound effects are licensed from third-party libraries and are not AI-generated. No AI content is generated during gameplay. The game does not connect to an external AI service during gameplay, and all shipped content is finalized and static.
Some 2D‑art assets in this game are created with the assistance of generative‑AI tools. These assets have been filtered, edited, composited and manually reviewed by the developer before being used in‑game. The game does not perform real‑time content generation based on player input during runtime, nor does it send any player input to generative‑AI services.
The recognizability of painting fish
Some store page art and description text were produced with AI assistance. All in-game art, audio and text are hand-authored or procedurally generated.
Some of the scene images are AI-generated.
The in-game BGM is generated using AI.
This game uses generative AI for music, such as BGM, and for UI.
Generative AI tools are used to assist with pre-generated localization and translation of game text and Steam Store content. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
The game does not use AI while you play. Every sentence and every drawing you see in a match is made by the players in the room with you. Some assets in this game were created with generative AI during development. The music was made with Suno as to avoid in copyright issues for streamers/clippers who play the game. Several pieces of cabin furniture and set dressing were generated with Meshy, and the logo and one in-game painting came from OpenAI image generation. The game's 13 language translations were AI-assisted.
During development, we used Google Gemini AI to assist in generating narrative elements, such as item descriptions and quest lore. While the core story and world-building were meticulously designed by our human team, AI helped us expand the depth and variety of in-game text. All AI-assisted content has been thoroughly reviewed and edited by our developers to ensure quality and consistency.
AI helped us create our new logo, and we used Claude Code to help us with... the code, bro. Otherwise, the game's hand-made! Our world is entering a troubling and hilarious time, and so critical reflection is important - but we are not categorically anti-AI. After all, you can't criticize something you don't understand, can you?
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with code and selected pre-generated game and marketing content. All shipped content was reviewed by the developer. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Generative AI may have been used in creating pre-rendered content for this game. All such content is the result of a human-led artistic and creative process
Generative AI was used to create some temporary artwork for the Steam store page and related marketing materials while the game is still in production. These assets are reviewed and curated by the development team and WILL be replaced with final production artwork before release. Generative AI is not used to generate content during gameplay.
