Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.

This game uses generative AI-assisted tools in a small amount of non-core content, such as certain event illustration backgrounds, world map event displays, and some promotional materials used on the store page. The core content of the game, including gameplay design, combat systems, character design, primary visual presentation, and programming, has been manually created and refined by the developer. AI-generated content is used only for supplementary visual purposes and does not affect the core gameplay experience.
We use generative AI for some parts of the code.
In order to better reflect the identity of our game and obtain easier outputs, we use artificial intelligence to produce content such as capsule images, small logos, and simple text found on our game's store page.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation of some art assets.
As a solo developer starting out a hobby project, I used different AI generated images early on. I have since, after deciding to stick with the game, attempted to clean up and change to known license images and content, or make and remake where possible.
This game includes content created with the assistance of generative AI. AI tools were used to help create some visual assets, including promotional images, UI/background concepts, and selected in-game art references. AI-assisted coding tools were also used during development to help draft, refactor, debug, and improve parts of the game code. All generated or AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before inclusion in the game.
Generative II was used to create various enemy icons and background images. Game content, mechanics and internal game materials were created manually.

Marshals of War is the result of years of work by a solo developer, supported by freelance artists and collaborators. Generative AI has been used to explore ideas and directions, influencing some assets in the game and its marketing. Handcrafted work remains the primary process behind the game’s development.
Part of the plot is generated or translated by AI, and this will not affect the main game.
Artificial intelligence was used to create a portion of the game's visual assets. This includes illustrations within the herbal book, as well as loading, summary, and game-over screens. AI tools were used to generate localizations for languages other than English and Polish. Dialogue voice lines are currently generated using TTS tools. The game is still in development, and these generated voices are temporary placeholders that will be replaced by voice actors once the story and scripts are finalized.

We don't use "black box" models trained on stolen art. Our generative models are trained exclusively on our own proprietary assets, sketches, and source material. If the AI didn't learn it from our own artists, it doesn't exist in our pipeline. No scraping, no copyright infringement, no "oops, that looks like a famous illustrator's style" moments. We aren't using AI to write our stories or paint our worlds we still prefer the human touch for that. Generative technology is strictly limited to in-game animations. We built our own "brain," fed it only our own art, and it only helps with the "wiggly bits" (animations). Everything else is pure, unadulterated human effort.
Some of the game art and game trailers were generated with the aid of AI tools
Dark and Darker has begun utilizing AI-powered tools in the content creation process. All elements that make up the essence of the game are still done by the people who make this game.
We have added support for Chinese, German, French, and Portuguese using AI-based translation to make the game more accessible to a wider audience.
Some multilingual localized text content is AI-generated; parts of the code and art assets also contain AI-generated content.
The game may use AI to produce game promotion content.
As a small independent team, we use AI as a supportive tool to help us develop and improve Inferna more efficiently. We may use AI-assisted tools for certain visual materials, such as patch note images, announcements, and loading screens. AI may also support our localization work, including translations of some in-game texts into selected languages. During gameplay, AI is used for live translations, making it easier for players from different countries to communicate, trade, group up, and play together. Our live translation system is hosted locally on our own infrastructure. Player messages are not sent to third-party AI providers, and player data is never used to train AI models.

Store page artwork, most in-game assets, and promotional images were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools.
2D Visual Assets: All in-game card illustrations—including the retro pixel art items, weapons, and relics and any images, as well as the main "Divide TCG" promotional logo art, were pre-generated using AI image generation tools. Code and UI Assistance: AI text models were used as a collaborative programming assistant to help write, structure, and troubleshoot the game's HTML and CSS user interface, including the card binder layouts, responsive grids, and visual effects. Marketing Copy: AI text models were utilized to help draft and refine portions of the text and descriptions found on this Steam store page.
This game uses AI-assisted systems to support dynamic dialogue during interrogations with villagers. The AI helps generate variations in conversations to enhance immersion and replayability while maintaining the game’s narrative structure. The game also uses AI-assisted systems to generate epilogues based on the player’s verdicts and the relationships between villagers. These epilogues help reflect the consequences of the player’s decisions and provide varied outcomes across playthroughs. The dialogue and epilogue generation systems operate within structured prompts and developer-defined constraints to ensure consistency with the game’s design. The AI systems are designed with safeguards to prevent inappropriate or harmful outputs. AI-assisted content is reviewed and refined during development to ensure it remains appropriate for the game’s setting and narrative. All AI processing runs entirely on the player's machine — no data is sent to external servers.
