Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We use generative AI tools during development to create certain pre-rendered audio assets (sound effects and background music). We ensure that prompts do not reference copyrighted works, artists, or specific intellectual property. We use commercially licensed AI services and comply with their terms of service.
What parts AI applied to are: pictures like icon, button, background; language translation. And no more other visual elements like, objects rendering, model, post process effect have used AI.
I was working on this game for more than 2 years without ai.
I started to use ai 1-2 months ago for:
Due to a lack of capital for professional sounds i bought sound packages and for
some few sounds i used AI software. Depending on the game's success, I will invest in replacing sounds and self-created elements with professional assistance.
AI was used mainly for bug fixing in the code and for translating the game text into different languages.
ome inventory icons, the in-game orientation map, and a few images used for signs and notes were created with AI assistance. The world itself, level design, gameplay systems, buildings, ruins, enemy placement, and environments are manually built, edited, and refined. Every mesh is placed by hand, and the world layout does not use procedural generation.
AI-generated tools were used only for limited promotional materials, such as marketing images displayed on the store page.
All in-game content, including gameplay visuals, UI, and assets, is created by human artists and does not involve AI generation.
AI-generated content does not affect gameplay, user experience, or core game assets.
This game uses AI-generated content in the following areas:
3D Models & Animations: We used Meshy AI to generate 3D character/object models and their animations. All assets were reviewed, adjusted, and integrated by our team to fit the game's visual style and quality standards.
2D Art: Background images in-game and certain store page visuals (such as screenshots/key art) were created with the help of generative AI image tools. Our team curated and edited the final outputs before shipping.
All AI-generated assets were reviewed prior to release to ensure they comply with applicable laws and do not include infringing material. No live (runtime) generative AI is used during gameplay.
This game contains a limited amount of AI-generated visual content created during development due to the project's low budget. Specifically, suspect profile images and some evidence-related visual assets or models were created with the help of generative AI tools. Not all evidence assets are AI-generated.
The use of AI is limited to pre-made visual content only. No gameplay systems, dialogue, story logic, code, or real-time interactive content is generated by AI during play. All gameplay mechanics, case logic, interactions, and progression were designed and implemented by the developer.
This game utilizes generative AI technology to create some 3D models, background music (BGM), and sound effects to efficiently generate resources during the production process.
As a small, two-person independent development team, we utilized generative AI tools to create some of our character visuals and background artworks due to budget constraints. To ensure originality and maintain our artistic vision, these AI tools were guided by our own artist's original work, with their explicit permission. Please note that these AI-generated assets are currently serving as placeholders. As development continues and our resources grow, we plan to replace them with original, hand-drawn artwork in future updates. The game does not feature any live AI content generation during gameplay.
This game uses artificial intelligence tools during development.
AI was used to assist in generating certain visual assets, including promotional graphics and background elements. All AI-generated content was reviewed, modified, and approved by the developer.
AI is not used during gameplay. The game does not generate content dynamically and does not use AI to interact with players.
The promotional banner located in the "About This Game" section of the store page was created using AI-generative tools. This illustration was specifically crafted by referencing the game's actual in-game assets and visuals to represent the game's atmosphere. Please note that there is no AI-generated content or assets present within the actual gameplay of 'ANGLE'.
D.E.C.A.Y. has been developed by a single developer for over two years. Nearly all of the game’s content has been created by hand - from the environment to many objects inspired by real-world prototypes, helping make the world feel more atmospheric and alive.
Only a small number of images and certain visual elements were created using generative AI tools.
Most of the game's graphics assets were created using pose sketches (ControlNet) and then adjusted in the graphics editor to maintain consistency. The game does not use any real-time AI-generated content.
Our game includes the use of AI-assisted visual content.
Certain CG (cutscene) images in the game were generated with the assistance of AI tools, based on keyframes and visual direction created by our art team. These assets are pre-generated during development and are not created dynamically.
All AI-assisted content is limited to visual presentation only. It is optional, and does not affect gameplay systems, player interaction, progression, or game logic.
All core gameplay design, narrative structure, and interactive content are fully created and implemented by the development team.
Some store assets (such as capsules and promotional images) were created with the assistance of AI tools due to limited resources during development. All gameplay, design, and core content of Glowbot Galaxy Defense are fully original and developed by me.
As future projects grow, I plan to collaborate with artists to further enhance the visual presentation.
During development, artificial intelligence tools were used to assist in the creation of certain game assets, including some images (such as store page visuals and in-game textures), localization, and audio content.
All AI-generated or AI-assisted content was reviewed, modified where necessary, and approved by the developers to ensure quality and consistency.
Some minor visual assets, such as icons and UI elements, were created or assisted using licensed AI tools during development.
All AI-assisted content has been reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure consistency with the overall art direction and quality standards.
AI is not used in gameplay systems, code, or real-time content generation.
Generative AI tools were used solely to assist with localization and translation processes. All translated content was reviewed and edited by the development team before being implemented in the game. The game does not use live AI-generated content during gameplay.
Some of the game's visual elements were created using AI tools during the development stage (for example, the design of Albums). Artists manually refined all such materials. Generative AI is not used in the gameplay and does not generate any content during the game.
The card artwork in the current version of the game was created using generative AI tools and then manually edited and refined by the developer. AI was not used for gameplay code or core story content. These artworks are intended as temporary assets and are planned to be replaced with commissioned artwork in the future.
This game uses generative AI for some NPC images and background music.
These assets are reviewed and adjusted by the developer before being implemented in the game.
as a first no budget game from a solo dev this game includes ai generated images of mythological and made up divine places in paintings and of ghosts appearing around the game
Images: AI was used to generate base designs for some in-game UI icons. These have been manually refined and edited for the final version.
Sound: AI tools were used to assist in the generation of certain ambient sounds, sound effects, and background music.
Localization: AI was used as a translation aid for the game's text. All AI-generated translations have been reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure accuracy and a natural flow.
