This game utilizes generative AI tools to assist in the development process. Illustrations: AI generation tools (such as Midjourney) were used to create and refine certain 2D graphic assets, including character illustrations and UI elements. Dialogue: Text-generation AI models were utilized as assistive tools to draft and polish character dialogue and in-game scripts. All AI-generated content has been heavily edited and directed by the developer to fit the game's original vision and world.
Generative AI has been used for translations into certain languages and as support for various aspects of the implementation. Detailed breakdown : https://www.reddit.com/r/incremental_games/comments/1sty0xg/ai_disclosure_on_loopbound/
Character images where created based on face images of characters. Logos were also generated based on pre-defined descriptions.
We used AI-generated content in icons, textures, and Steam store promotional materials.
Some of the images in the game are created with AI
We use AI to Optimize Code and improve our Code Quality
Voice Acting: Character voiceovers were created using AI-based voice synthesis tools. Music: Background music was prepared and edited with the assistance of AI technology. Store Assets: Capsule artwork was created/assisted using AI tools. In-Game Environment: Character photographs displayed in in-game photo frames were generated/assisted using AI tools. Note: No other AI tools or AI-generated assets were used in any other part of the game or store page.
Some text and images on the game and store pages are generated by AI
Several drawings of inventory items are provided by AI.
The game utilized AI for some creative brainstorming during the concept design and demo phases, and AI was also employed for initial creation in certain auxiliary systems such as icons, animations, and special effects.
We have utilized generative AI tools during the development process to assist in the creation of various 2D and 3D assets. This includes certain environmental textures, 2D UI elements, and some base 3D models. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and refined by our team to ensure quality and originality. These assets are pre-generated and are not created in real-time during gameplay.
As a solo developer project, this game leverages generative AI technologies to enable a full-scale production. AI tools were used to generate the C# codebase, visual assets (sprites, backgrounds), Sounds and audio tracks. All content was directed, compiled, and curated by the human developer to ensure a consistent gameplay experience.
Some sequence frame animations, UI, images, and other art assets are generated using AI, accounting for about 30% of the game's content.
AI was used exclusively to generate the people’s photos; all other content was created manually.
How Does It Work? The Human-Led Creative Process Players will start their game by participating in a time traveling Ritual. AI doesn't write our story; it writes a story within a world which our creative team has designed. The Ritual takes what you describe and the world we’ve built – its art, biomes, enemy types, magic systems and overarching lore – and turns it into gameplay that’s personal to you. These aren't AI suggestions; they are human-designed game mechanics and rules that AI must follow. During The Ritual, you describe your hero – their name, and how they look, plus curious nuggets about what they love, hate, are known for etc. When you describe your hero as "a punk rocker who fears spiders and loves the color red," our platform triggers a process and system instructions that work hand-in-hand with Gemini AI. We send your input along with our own carefully crafted guidelines that tell Gemini exactly how to evaluate content appropriateness. All storytelling is orchestrated by logic the engineering team designed, not AI deciding what happens next, alongside a story bible and character descriptions, creating assets, in real time, to craft your customized gaming experience. All character visuals are generated using a custom AI model (LoRA) trained exclusively on our own artwork. It understands how we draw faces, hairstyles, armour, and bodies – the rules, proportions, and style choices behind the art – rather than copying individual images or creating its own. This means when your character gets generated, it is not generic AI art; it is our artistic DNA interpreting your imagination. The result is a caricature of your hero, rendered in our visual language. Similarly, character abilities aren't randomly generated; they follow strict mathematical systems. When Gemini generates a Unique Spell, for example, the damage, archetype, name, colours, and parameters, come from us. While The Ritual could find anyone at all in the past, we’ve also implemented layers of safeguards to ensure only true heroes can be recruited to the war effort.
The visual and musical components are created using AI.
I automatically translated the game using AI for support in a total of 26 languages: Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, etc.. Game & the store page in all languages except Korean and English were translated using AI. Translation errors may exist, so please always let me know on the discord server and help me fix them!
Initial concept art was generated using AI tools, followed by manual adjustments and modifications by artists.
Some promotional images for this game were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
Generative AI was used to create character and gear designs, which were then edited to create some sprites found in game. AI was also used to create some of the music. TempusForge Studio has, wherever possible on our budget, supported creators by purchasing assets used in the project. All assets are fully licensed.
AI tools were used in limited, developer-supervised ways to support the creation of voiceover audio. The final product reflects the craft and creativity of our development team.
Localization
Generative AI was used solely for localization, including the translation of in-game text into multiple languages.
Steam Capsule is made by AI.
Translation support, English writing support, Image and music generation support.
Some placeholder visuals include material made with modern content-creation tools and will be replaced upon release of the full version.
Visual backgrounds and illustrations were partially generated using AI and then manually refined to meet artistic and technical requirements. Some voice lines were also generated using neural voice models, followed by manual editing and final polishing.
This game was written and designed by humans. Generative AI was only used as a support tool, such as checking language, streamlining text, and optimizing visuals. All creative choices and content come from the developer.
Some 3D models and textures are generated by AI.
We use AI to generate Voice Over and help us with Text.
AI tools were used during development to support creative tasks. The game’s cover image was generated using Grok and later manually edited and masked. Voiceovers were created using ElevenLabs. ChatGPT and Grok were used to help brainstorm narrative and dialogue ideas, but all final writing and design decisions were made by the developer. No AI systems are present during gameplay, and players do not interact with or influence any generative AI. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated before being included in the game or its marketing materials. Background images and background music are AI-generated.
Most of the visual assets in Sparkfront: Online were created with the help of AI-assisted tools and later refined manually to fit the game’s unique art style. In addition, translations for supported languages (excluding English and Turkish) were generated using AI and reviewed for clarity. Our goal was to speed up production without compromising quality or creativity.
We use AI to generate Voice Over.
Some of the voice actings, some photo images and textures are pre-generated by AI.
DeepL has been used as a tool for aiding the translation, AI has been used to assist with image generation (a complete list can be found in-game), some music is AI-generated.
Some Lua scripts and English translations in the game were initially drafted using AI(ChatGPT, Gemini) and then manually revised by the developer. Additionally, certain character sprites were hand-drawn, refined with the help of AI-generated redrafts, and then redrawn manually to complete the final artwork. The AI(Stable Diffusion) was used as a supporting tool for enhancing quality.
The title background image is generated by AI. BGM 009Song_00_YY_RayofStarash.ogg is generated by AI.
Music that uses voices is AI generated. Music that is non vocal is handmade by me.
AI used in some artwork background and initial character concepts, followed by drawn enhancements in GIMP
AI was used to generate some in game assets and Steam assets
We created a few capsule images generated by AI.
Originally the game was developed in 800x600 resolution. Some backgrounds were upscaled using AI.
Drawing of vertical drawing using AI drawing. (Manual modification later) Use AI for assisted text generation. (Manual proofreading later) No Live-Generated AI content is used.
