Public Steam disclosure research25,380 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI is used to power the in-game assistant character, providing dynamic dialogue and context-aware guidance during gameplay. The AI generates helpful hints, tutorial information, and gameplay tips based on your current situation. All AI-generated content is limited to gameplay assistance only and cannot produce inappropriate or copyrighted material.
I'm a solo developer. I spent four months collaborating with an artist, but when they left the project I had to start over, completing the art and community assets with AI tools. I know AI art is a controversial topic, but I hope you can still feel all the hard work I've put into this game
Some store assets are put together by human hands but use images generated by AI. All in-game assets, screenshots, and videos are human-made with love.
Some in-game assets are purchased from artists on itch.io, the rest are handmade.
Our game features characters with lifelike personalities that evolve through AI-powered interactions. Using advanced language model technology, characters engage in natural, dynamic conversations and make autonomous decisions based on their relationships and environment.
All visual assets and artwork in the game are handcrafted by our artists - not AI-generated.
Some visual assets were created with the help of generative AI tools. These assets were later modified and updated manually during development. They are not direct or unedited outputs of the AI tools.
I used generative AI technology to produce some static (pre-rendered) visual assets:
- Background photo of the board on the Title/Menu screen
- Images of animals in the pop-up speech bubbles
- Logos on the 'Achievements' page
NO live generation of images/video using AI!
NO banned content!
All images in my game are considered tasteful & SFW (Safe For Work).
During the development of this game, I used artificial intelligence tools for the following purposes:
* Accelerating the coding process – AI-powered assistants supported programming, debugging, and code generation to help bring the game to life more efficiently.
* Text translation and language checking – I used AI to translate written content into multiple languages and to assist with spelling and grammar correction.
Please note that all content generated or modified with the help of AI was manually reviewed and edited to ensure quality and a consistent player experience.
Most of the wall paintings and images are AI generated
Some meshes are Ai generated like the Cash register, the pizza itself, the texts on the top of the customer like when they don't have the pizzas or they are saying something some of them are generated with AI
The game’s soundtrack and parts of the localization were created with the assistance of generative AI. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and integrated by the developer.
Offline voice assistant: an on-device open-source AI processes your speech or text and replies with short text plus synthesized voice, all locally with no data sent online.
We specifically used AI for graphical content.
All characters you see in image form within the game are fictional, created using AI image generation software.
The names and descriptions of these characters were also generated with the help of AI.
This game was primarily developed by hand using traditional tools. Most major assets such as the lawn mowers, terrain etc. were either purchased, created manually, or sourced from freely available assets. AI tools were used in a limited way, mainly for creating some Steam page promotional images and a few in-game assets (example UI).
We use AI to create pre-generated content for the game, including game design concepts, scenarios, and progression systems, as well as for voiceovers in marketing materials and community assets. No AI is used for real-time content or code generation during gameplay.
In Stolen Legacy: The Rise of The Fallen, we used generative artificial intelligence during development to create some of the visual content and music featured in the game. This includes select illustrations and UI assets, as well as AI-generated tracks that support the game’s tone and pacing.
All AI-generated content was produced before release, is pre-rendered, and was carefully reviewed and edited to ensure consistency with the game's style. No AI-generated content is created or modified during gameplay.
AI tooling is used during development to assist with programming, documentation, concept art, placeholder asset creation, and some marketing material. AI is a tool to that allows me more time to focus on important parts of the game - not a sloppy replacement for real people doing real people things.
Artificial Intelligence was used to assist with the English translation and visual setup of this store page — including grammar corrections and initial layout polishing.
Some early illustrations, mostly placeholders, were created using licensed AI tools. These will be replaced with original artwork in the coming days as part of our ongoing updates.
Some of the game's visual elements were created using AI tools during the development stage (for example, the design of Albums). Artists manually refined all such materials. Generative AI is not used in the gameplay and does not generate any content during the game.
A significant portion of the game's images and visual assets were pre-generated using AI tools, with care taken to avoid any copyright infringement. There is no real-time AI content generation during gameplay.
