Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Using AI to assist in creating some image assets
Our art director used AI to help him create key art, like the Presidential portraits and Oval Office screen. He combines hand painting and uses the Generative Fill feature in Adobe Photoshop. Detailed blog post here: https://blog.mrpresidentgame.com/p/creating-art-for-mr-president
Some text, images and shop names generated by Ai
The game uses multiple AI characters, each with unique memories and re-collections to participate in a group conversation where they try to deduce who is the killer (the player). Essentially a reverse Turing-test with bells and whistles.
The fishes that players catch were created by Deep AI.
Some art pictures, character models, animations, and story scripts may be created by AI after generating prototypes
AI Interrogation Simulator is a modern, AI-driven experience. You will interact with a variety of in-game characters, each powered by AI, via a chat interface. As a result, we hope you will enjoy the most immersive character interactions you have ever experienced.
Interact with Ai life coaches, trained on lending an ear or guiding you through a meditation. There are distinct personalities with each Ai-life coach so you can find the one that matches your vibe. Just imagine teleporting to environments built for relaxation and generated by Ai. With 40+ teleport locations and life coaching in 50+ languages, VRenity offers a place to engage, reflect and explore.
To create an immersive experience, AI-generated images and music are used in selected areas. These have been carefully chosen and adjusted to best support the atmosphere of the fairground world. Our goal is to use AI to provide more creative and diverse content that enhances the gameplay experience, while the majority of the game remains handcrafted.
[1] All characters use large text model (LLM) to generate responses.[2] Some of assets was pre-generated AI.
In our game, you can ask an NPC a question: and he will answer in TEXT or VOICE, depending on your settings. Also some musical environment.
The content in the game is planned and designed manually, assisted by generative AI tools, and finally processed and completed by humans.

In our game 201: The Bad Number, part of the images, music, and translations were created using generative artificial intelligence.
This game includes assets created with the assistance of AI tools and legally licensed third-party resources.
All card art is created by Wise Wizard Games' incredibly-talented full-time lead artist. He used AI tools to iterate on, refine, and polish each of the 321 unique pieces of art. Other artists on our team also used AI tools to create animations based on the card art.
To enhance the expressiveness of NPCs and improve player immersion, we have integrated GPT-3.5-turbo technology. This allows players to engage in more natural and dynamic conversations with NPCs, driving the storyline forward and offering a more personalized gaming experience.
Generative AI tools are used to create the images for the game and some of the text.
AI tools were used to help create some in game assets. In all such cases, the final product reflects our team’s craft and creative vision.
AI is used in the game to improve the quality of audio tracks.
All background images and character illustrations are created by generated AI.
Our game uses advanced AI technology to enhance your gameplay experience. Interact with lifelike AI characters that respond to your actions in real-time, engage in dynamic, generative conversations, and explore evolving storylines driven by AI-powered NPCs. This AI integration ensures every playthrough is unique, creating a living, breathing world that adapts to your decisions and strategies. Dive into an immersive, intelligent world where your choices truly matter!
Some in-game images, illustrations, and decorative elements were created using AI-assisted image generation tools. Additionally, select voiceovers and sound effects were generated or enhanced using AI-based audio technologies.
Meet Golem, your AI-trusted companion! Our Golem generates real-time coding based on your own prompts for any questions or coding challenges you encounter while exploring the world of Pastopia. The only generative assets that the Golem produces in-game are MiniScript codes that we have trained ourselves and basic 3D shapes that are based off Pastopia's own in-game assets. For example, Golem will help you create lines of code that will spawn a structure of a bridge using either cubes, spheres or prisms from the game.
The store capsule image for this game was created with the assistance of generative AI tools. This asset was pre-rendered during the development process and is static. No AI-generated content is used during live gameplay. All gameplay mechanics, story, and player interactions are hand-crafted by the development team. The AI tools used for the capsule image are commercially licensed, ensuring compliance with the platform's terms of service and intellectual property guidelines.
No Artist Credited is a virtual gallery experience and an experiment in the capabilities and limitations of AI tools. The entire gallery was designed and constructed using instructions, themes, and art generated by one of three AI tools.
AI was used in the creation of certain visual assets, including character avatars, title screen artwork, promotional materials, and background art. However, these assets still required substantial manual work such as design, sketching, outline drawing, and polishing. The AI was used primarily as a tool for coloring and enhancement, and it did not dictate the creative direction. The visual style remains faithful to the original Little Fighter 2. Some people assume that because AI was used in certain artwork, it must have been applied throughout the entire project. That is far from the truth. I used AI primarily for large-scale visual tasks. To give a clearer picture: the game includes over 3,000 hand-crafted sprite frames, composed from thousands of hand-drawn body parts. In contrast, only about 100 images were AI-assisted, and many of those, such as promotional artwork, don't even appear in the actual game. I understand that some people may have concerns about the use of AI in the creative process. But I hope people can see the broader context and appreciate the amount of manual effort that went into making this game. Please know that I’m a solo developer working with a limited budget. I’ve been developing this project for around 3.5 years; even quitting my full-time job for a year to work on it full time, without expecting it to cover even half of my previous salary. I've done my best to balance quality and practicality. Your understanding and support mean a great deal to me.
The cover art is partially AI-generated, based on snapshots from Strangler’s gameplay.
Sigma Squad uses generative artificial intelligence only for some promotional artwork (images only) featured on the Steam page.
Our hero submitted a portfolio generated by an AI, and got a job interview. After seeing the company's artwork (also AI generated) and the portfolio, the interview starts. Using AI, the interviewer's reaction will be custom, based on the hero's text input. All the rest (music, script...) is human.
The user's voice input will be converted to text, then sent to open ai's LLM along with parameters and characteristics. A response will be given and then sent to elevenlabs to be converted into voice to give a life-like response to the player.
AI was used for the following: Character art. Some miscellaneous art like dungeon tiles, and items. Assist with coding.
I used AI to create the preview image.
FluidFrames uses an AI that can multiply the FPS in a video, this is done by taking 2 frames of a video and calculating the intermediate frame. In a manner identical to FSR 3 FG or DLSS FG.
Real-time AI generative content is included in the application, please use it in compliance with local regulations.
In line with the theme of the game, AICE utilises AI generated images and voice content, with human adjustments and decoration added on top.
Some promo images are generated by AI
Our game uses GenAI at run time in our game engine to power various gameplay mechanics so that the game can respond to whatever players say and do in the moment. We're excited to build on both known game dev tools and also develop new capabilities, all to be able to build games that are more improvisational and responsive to player creativity and agency. We did not use AI generation for any of our art assets, nor for the NPC customer motivations, personalities, or quests.
The entire production process uses ai Examples include logic judgment, code generation, image rendering, project planning
Various usage throughout.
Generative AI was used to create images, music and sound effects for the game.
The video content of the game is created by the creator after creating storyboards, character settings, scene settings, and story content settings, through 3D modeling and animation production, and then using AI for style conversion, and further post production synthesis and rendering by the creators. Music, dubbing, and other elements are all created by creators with the assistance of artificial intelligence and processed by post production personnel.
Some translations were completed with the assistance of AI.
In the game we harness the power of ChatGPT AI to deliver a unique and dynamic gaming experience. As you navigate through conferences and meetings, the AI generates rich and varied storylines, creating a diverse range of characters and scenarios. Each interaction is influenced by your choices, leading to endless possibilities and a personalized experience every time you play.
NPCs reply to your conversations using state-of-the-art AI. This dialog is at the heart of Talk to Me Human.
