Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We utilized AI tools to generate internal references for composition and framing. These outputs were then used as a base to manually create handcrafted pixel art assets, ensuring all final in-game visuals follow our custom palettes and artistic standards.
Well, just some images for background and characters that produced by artists and AI, were checked by artists and issued as free. So these assets are ok to use.
In Wizard Cats, AI is used to write the code that powers spells created from runes. No art is generated using AI - all art is hand-drawn by our talented team of artists.
The backgrounds of the game's start screen and pick screen were pre-generated by me via AI, and some of the in-game icons were generated by the author via AI. Here is their license:
License: Assets can be used personally and commercially. You can modify the asset. You cannot re-distribute the files, even modified versions.
AI was used in the BlueSky/Concepting phase of development to help ideate some designs of characters and UI to save time on our small team. Stable Diffusion using in-house created libraries and loras created from our own original art and not publicly available libraries was used in this process. These concepts are then taken and turned into functional useable game art created by hand, by real artists. Oftentimes this human created art ends up looking nothing like the original concept. No where in the game is any raw AI art used.
I have incorporated artificial intelligence elements into the promotional images of the store, which can make the store look more like what I hope and quickly visualize my ideas
AI was used to generate the picture on the menu screen as well as the game's logo picture. AI was not used to write code or has anything to do with gameplay. I didn't have an artist at the time of creation.
This game's development leveraged Gen-AI to sample in-game sprites for the player and enemy ships. These same sprites have been sent over to paid artists to create their own renditions of these sprites. All other assets such as music, sound effects, and steam page capsules were created by paid artists.
We use AI to generate icons for props, but we perform secondary processing such as cutout, color grading, and adding shadows.
This is just a small part of the content in the game.
We used procedural AI-generated art to assist and enhance all our art for the Dogs and Cats (towers assets) inside the game. In all cases, the final product is a direct and faithful representation of the creativity and expression of the creator(s) of Elemental Dog Defense. No art was created directly by a prompt; every sprite and art piece represented in the game was first designed by hand and then enhanced with AI tools.
During the development process, we may use AI-based tools to assist with content creation.
In those cases, the final product reflects our creativity and expression.
In this game, AI was used to facilitate the creation of character avatars and illustrations, as well as AI localizations and dialogues and steam page localization.
There is a radio station that put on air AI generated songs, random generated NPCs have access database of pre-generated topics of discussions, there are collectable lost media VHS featuring short experimental films made with AI generated and real footage
This game makes usage of generative AI in various forms.
- Image generators for marketing/store page materials and loading screens in game.
- Sound generators and text to speech models for robotic announcer voice and some of the SFX.
- 3D model generation for a limited subset of assets.
We use AI as a tool for initial concepts and drafts in some areas. All final content for the game, store page, and community is carefully curated and polished by our team.
This game includes images that are edited after being generated by an AI.
-Map backgrounds (pixelized after generation)
-Character sprites (silhouetted after generation)
