Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We utilized AI tools to assist in creating the game's narrative scripts, dynamic animations, and UI elements.
Game uses AI for assets such as characters, music, and sound bytes.
Artificial intelligence tools were used during development to assist in the creation of certain 3D models. All generated assets were reviewed, modified, and integrated into the game by the developer.
The store promotional images were generated using AI with manual modifications. Some in-game upgrade icons were generated using AI and then manually refined. Most of the game's multilingual translations were created using AI.
Some of the game's visuals and sound effects were created using artificial intelligence.
When editing animation images, users can use local AI model to remove the background.
AI is used for translations
We used a Text-to-Speech tool to create a voiceover for the game's trailer.
Some background images and visual assets were generated using AI tools during development.
Some graphics (mainly background pictures) were created with help of AI.
AI-Generated Content Some of the visual content in Oink & Collect was created with the assistance of AI tools. This includes individual card artwork, booster pack illustrations, and in-game graphical elements. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, adjusted, and curated by the developer to ensure style, quality, and consistency within the game. No AI systems are used to generate player-generated content, and no dynamic AI content creation occurs during gameplay.
We use AI for some pronunciation until our VO talent can fix them. We used AI to repose one character in marketing content.
AI tools were used to generate early concept artwork and UI references during development. Final in-game assets were created, refined, and implemented by the developer. The game does not include any live-generated AI content.
Some of the graphical elements contain AI-generated imagery
Generative AI was used during the development process to assist in creating 2D visual assets, including the character art (the cyber cat) and promotional imagery. These assets were pre-generated and are included as static files within the application.
Due to time and budget constraints as a solo developer, the art assets in this project were generated using AI technology.
Generative AI was used during the design stage to visualize original sketches and create UI concepts. Based on these visualizations, all final interface elements and graphical assets were manually refined and created to match the game's artistic style.
Generative AI tools were used during development in a supportive role. This includes assistance with grammar checks and text refinement, as well as helping translate original German game content into clear and natural English. In addition, AI assisted image generation was used as a basis for selected HUD elements and inventory item visuals, as well as for a small number of in game visual assets. AI assisted tools were used during the creation of the game’s background music. All AI generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated manually to ensure consistency with the game’s art style and overall presentation.
Some pre-rendered visual assets, music, and marketing materials were created with the assistance of generative AI. No live AI generation is used in gameplay.
code and text generation and pre-generated content
use ai tool for coding
The use of "AI" in my games is purely sound based as that is more affordable, though it may be replaced out in time.
AI was used for small image creation for signage in the game.
Aside from AI-assisted programming, all art, music, and writing are fully original.
AI was used for the swapped artwork (paintings/statues), for the creation of the character models, for music and for text translations.
all the pictures are generated by artificial intelligence.
Utilize AI assistance to help with game generation

Was used as a supportive tool during the development of this game in the following ways: Technical Development: AI assisted in debugging gameplay logic, optimizing Steam API integration, and refactoring controller code to ensure a smoother, modular experience. Language & Planning: AI was used to refine in-game text for better clarity and to help structure the implementation of game mechanics. Visual Assets: Certain environment textures and icons were refined and polished using AI tools to improve consistency and/or detail. NOTE: All AI-generated elements were manually reviewed and integrated by the developer to maintain the game's vision and direction.
We used AI tools to help fix bugs in the code and write functions we didn’t know how to make ourselves.
AI used to solve a few missing art assets.
As a solo developer I used Generative AI to localization the game, along with some Icons :)
Some of the images and monster models in the game are generated using artificial intelligence. I can guarantee that all AI elements are compliant, legal, and commercially usable.
"The Strongest Evolution: EVO Card" utilizes Generative AI not as a shortcut, but as a core "Mutation Engine" to fit the game's biopunk theme. Visual Assets: The creature mutations, body parts, and UI elements are generated using AI tools. However, they are not raw outputs; every asset has been heavily curated, retouched, and assembled by human developers to ensure a consistent and unique art style. Concept: The infinite possibilities of evolution in the game mirror the generative nature of AI. We treat AI as the "Mad Scientist" inside the lab, allowing for a volume of biological variations that would be impossible with traditional methods. Safety: All AI-generated content is manually reviewed to ensure it complies with copyright laws and contains no illegal or offensive material.
Some visual assets in this game were created using generative AI tools. All such content has been reviewed, edited, and manually integrated into the game by the developer. The usage rights for these assets belong to the developer. The game does not generate AI content in real time during gameplay.
Generative artificial intelligence is utilized in game development for the artistic creation of images rendering scenic spots and historical sites and horses.
This game uses AI for Artworks and other Forms of Visual content, aswell as AI content for Soundwork.
AI was used in the creation of a limited amount of audio content.
This game used AI to assist with coding and asset generation.
AI was used for background textures and background audio and store page capsules and trailers.
AI imagery appears in the Capsule and Library images as well as the Menu and throughout the game
Ai used for only for logo.
I used AI to generate many of the images in this game.
The music in this game was created using AI.
AI technologies were used in the creation of some in-game models. All assets were manually refined and technically optimized.
Generative AI tools were used exclusively for the creation of certain store page visuals (such as promotional or illustrative images). All AI-assisted visuals were reviewed, refined, and finalized by our artists before publication. No gameplay content, in-game assets, or core game elements were created using AI. AI was used strictly as a supportive tool for marketing visuals.
The majority of the visuals derive from one of our earlier products; to improve the experience, we remade them via AI image generation and followed up with extensive post-processing.
Generative AI tools are used in a limited capacity during development for coding assistance and early prototyping. AI may occasionally be used to help generate placeholder assets during experimentation and iteration. Any such placeholder content is intended to be replaced with original, hand-crafted assets before release. No generative AI content is intended to appear in the final shipped game.
AI assistance was used during the coding phase of this game.
The game production resources only involve using AI for reference, and do not involve AI directly generating content.
