Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
In the game, AI was used to create: character art, music, and some sounds
In Glow Tail, we utilized AI generated content for certain elements, such as capsule images, library assets, and the game icon.
Generative AI tools were used as an assistive tool to draft and localize portions of the game's text and Steam store marketing copy. All outputs were reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content while running.
AI was used to generate the backgrounds.
All in-game video footage (including characters, scenes, cutscenes, music) is generated using AI tools. Dialogue writing, choice design, stat system, UI design, programming are hand-crafted by the development team.
Generative AI tools were used only to assist with localization and the writing of text for the Steam store page. No content is generated while the product is running.
This game uses generative AI to translate certain text, including in-game UI text and the data collection consent form. No generative AI was used for artwork or sound.
Generative AI tools were used during the development of Only Up: 2D Platformer to create and assist with certain game content. This includes portions of the game's code, some visual assets, the soundtrack, and additional localization content.
Generative artificial intelligence was used to create some of the images.
AI was used to speed up the development process
Some of this game's assets were made with the assistance of generative AI tools and were reviewed, curated and hand-finished by the developer. No content is generated while you play.
Our visual development workflow uses generative AI to create parts of graphical elements and textures. Every AI-assisted visual asset is reviewed, edited and polished by our team to maintain a consistent visual standard across the game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with programming, localization, and the creation and editing of some promotional artwork. AI-assisted content was reviewed and adjusted by the developer. The game does not generate content during gameplay.
In our project, AI was used to partially create art assets, helping our artists bring some ideas to life.
Part of the game's art illustrations and promotional materials are assisted by generative AI. All AI-generated assets have been manually reviewed, edited and verified for compliance, with no infringing or illegal content.
Generative artificial intelligence was used to create some of the images.
This game uses AI-assisted tools during development, limited exclusively to programming assistance, assistance with the creation of certain UI assets, and multilingual translation assistance. AI-generated output is not integrated directly into the game. All content is manually reviewed, edited, integrated, proofread, and tested by the development team before use. AI is not used to create characters, character illustrations, character-related artwork, animations, music, sound effects, narrative, or other core creative content. The game does not generate content in real time while running, nor does it connect to external AI services to provide generative features to players.
Some pre-generated game assets, artwork and translations were created or assisted using generative AI. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, edited and integrated by the developer. QuizForge does not use generative AI to create live in-game content during gameplay.
All gameplay content is deterministic, hand-authored code with no AI generation at runtime. AI-assisted development tooling was used during production, including AI-assisted authoring of the code that renders the store artwork and achievement icons. No generative-AI images, audio, or text are shipped as game assets, and the game never connects to AI services.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create background music with Suno, application and shortcut icon artwork, and Steam store and library artwork. They were also used to assist with programming and player-facing text, including Steam store descriptions and localization. All included AI-assisted outputs were reviewed and approved by the developer before inclusion. The game does not use live-generated AI.
SUPERBOLT is built almost entirely from code: the lightning, the effects, the interface and the audio are generated by the game as it runs. Generative AI was used during production to help prepare some supporting artwork — background layers and achievement icons — and to draft some of the written text. Nothing is generated by AI while you play, and the game connects to no AI service.
AI was used for translation.
The game is developed with Claude Code and Codex.
AI polished artwork (for a part of the visual content) AI translation and proofreading
Some of the 3D models used for the table and room background in this game were created with the assistance of a generative AI (text-to-3D) tool, and were then adjusted and integrated by the developer. All other assets — including the dictionary data, UI artwork, sound, and all in-game text — were produced without generative AI. No content is generated by AI while you play.
This game uses generative AI to create visual art assets (plants, scenery, animals, UI, etc.) during development. In-game, the cat companion's chat dialogue is generated in real time by a local AI model that runs entirely offline on the player's device; no player input is sent to any external service.
Generative AI was used for two in-game mood posters and some store page graphics.
Musics only.
This game uses generative AI-assisted content in some pre-rendered assets, such as visual effects, UI elements, background or promotional artwork, and marketing/community materials. No live generative AI system is used during gameplay, and the game does not generate new player-facing content dynamically while the player is playing.
AI Was used to generate the page description, it was also used to test certain parts of the game and help debug a few problems, there was partial AI usage also for the game music, while the music itself was created in FL Studio there was usage to generate some of the variants of the tracks
Generative AI was used only to help create the store header image and some sound effects. All final content was checked and polished by our team.
I'm a solo developer; AI was used during development to translate the game into various languages.
Generative AI tools were used for localization assistance and for the creation or editing of certain promotional/marketing assets. The game itself does not contain AI-generated content, and no generative AI systems are used during gameplay.
AI was used only as a supporting tool for the design of some vinyl visual designs and language translation.
Some of the store's visual designs utilized AI.
This game uses generative‑AI technology to create part of the in‑game assets, art and content. All AI‑generated content has been reviewed and adjusted by human developers.
Generative AI was used extensively during development to assist with writing and debugging code, creating concept and promotional artwork, and brainstorming game content. All final content was reviewed, tested, and implemented by the developer. The finished game does not use generative AI at runtime, and players will not encounter AI-generated content while playing.
Some graphic assets were AI-assisted.
Generative AI was used during development to assist with writing and improving parts of the game code. All AI-assisted code was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the development team.
Art and sound is made using AI.
Generative AI tools were used in the development of this game. Image-generation AI was used to create the store artwork (key art and capsule images) and some in-game art assets (character illustrations, backgrounds, etc.), with all final selection, editing, and finishing done by the developers. AI assistants were also used to help write portions of the game's code. No content is generated by AI in real time while the game is running.
This game uses generative AI during development to create some image assets, music assets, and text drafts. All generated content was reviewed by the developer and edited or processed as necessary before being included in the game. The game does not generate content using generative AI during gameplay.
To streamline the creative workflow, this game incorporates AI-assisted tools. AI was employed for initial code prototyping and some asset creation; however, every aspect of the game has been extensively reviewed, modified, and refined to ensure high-quality performance and consistency.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create base 3D assets and some store images. The menu artwork, along with all design, direction, scene construction, lighting, and writing, is my own. Dusky's Nook does not generate any content while you play and never connects to external AI services.
Since this is just a prequel to the main story, we used AI to create most of the art so we could finish it quickly and move on to the main story. All the text and voice content were done without any AI involvement.
The murals in the game are actually restored from real historical murals using AI.
The game to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence
This game is made by a single dev, and sold for a fair price. In order to do that this dev needed the help of AI. So some pre-rendered assets in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools, always under my direction and with every asset reviewed by me the developer: certain illustrations, backdrops, and UI art; some music tracks and sound effects; and character voice lines generated via text-to-speech from scripts written by me the developer. The game design, the gameplay, physics, and large parts of the code are entirely human-made, and no AI content is generated at runtime.
During the development of Star Surge, generative AI tools were used to assist in designing certain in-game visuals (such as achievement icons) and promotional materials. AI was utilized as an aid to accelerate the visual production process, and all generated content was adjusted to fit the game's sci-fi theme. The core mechanics and coding of the game were developed entirely by hand.
This game uses AI-generated audio effects (via ElevenLabs) for a limited set of sound effects, layered and processed alongside licensed library sounds. As a solo developer on a tight budget, this let me create specific, bespoke sounds without the cost of a full custom audio pack for assets that are only used a handful of times. Some of these may be replaced with human-composed audio as the game develops.
