All Ai-generated content are for debug purposes and will be replaced by handdrawn or handmade content before release.
Development may involve AI and procedural tools, but the final content is shaped and finished by our team
This game includes some content created or assisted by generative AI tools. All such content is reviewed and curated by the developer before release.
Generative AI may have been used in creating pre-rendered or live-generated content for this game. All such content is the result of a human-led artistic and creative process.
English and Italian localization have been handled internally by our team. All other currently available languages, such as Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Japanese, Russian, and French, are temporarily supported through AI-assisted translation. These translations are placeholder versions and will be gradually replaced with finalized localizations leading up to the 1.0 release of the game. No AI-generated content has been used for any other aspect of development, including coding, art, music, or 3D modeling.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence in the game models and textures.
Voice dialogues in the game are generated by AI.
Game logo is based on an AI generated imagery
Tears of Adria was created by a very small team. We used our resources to work with three talented artists. Most portraits along with some icons and images are AI-created. Voice lines are primarily performed by real voice actors, very few are generated and some are AI enhanced.
AI was used assist in the creation of certain sound and visual elements.
Code optimization, music creation, and some artwork.
Currently, all locales are generated by an LLM. However, I am making significant efforts to ensure that all supported UI languages 100% human-made for the future. If the user chooses to, there are alternative translation models to download & use through the community repository. These are all text generative AI.
Updates released after May 6, 2026 include graphic resources that were generated using AI tools and subsequently retouched and refined by the developer.
In-game voice and background music
Some parts of the localization
Limited AI-assisted processing was used for some content based on human-created material, including certain video sequences animated from hand-rendered frames.
During the development of this game, generative AI is used to create reference materials and support production tasks. Specifically, AI is utilised when carrying out the following processes. ・ Partial creation of base images used for background art production of Events ・ Partial retouching work of some player images in accordance with license agreements, such as the removal of visual defects on strips. ・ Production of some audio for stadium announcements ・ Generation and copyediting of some text ・ Review of some translations Across all processes, AI-generated content is only used for support purposes. The final version is always verified and edited by the development team before use. The quality of all final content is ensured through human evaluation.
Some translations and text are AI generated
Generative AI tools are used solely to create certain pre-generated game content and marketing materials (including images, video advertisements, and narrative elements). In addition, AI-assisted tools may be used to support customer service operations, subject to appropriate oversight and quality controls. All AI-assisted content undergoes human review, editing, and approval prior to publication. No live or real-time AI generation occurs during gameplay, and users are not able to prompt or otherwise interact with any AI systems to generate content. Certain materials produced by third-party vendors may incorporate AI-assisted tools; however, all such materials are pre-rendered and subject to human review and approval prior to release.
The game may use AI to produce game promotion content.
Human Error utilizes cloud based generative AI to power the dialogue and interrogation systems of its robotic characters. During the Debrief Session, an integrated model generates text responses based on your performance metrics in the preceding tasks. This technology is used to create dynamic, unscripted confrontations where the machines analyze your behavior and react to your input in real time. The game generates text-based dialogue during the social deduction phase. This content is created in real time using your performance data (movement patterns, task efficiency, and error logs). This process requires an active internet connection to communicate with our cloud hosted AI systems. We have implemented guardrails to ensure the AI remains within the thematic boundaries of the game. To maintain high quality interactions and manage operational costs, gameplay is limited to 25 games per day per user. This ensures that our cloud-based AI systems remain available and responsive for all players.
During Early Access some AI generated images may be used as placeholders, for example during the loading screens.
Some of the images in the game were created using neural networks, but were later significantly modified (or used only as inspiration). No image in Pocket Rogues is entirely AI generated.
AI-generated images may be used in in-game UI or in image assets on the Steam store page.
Several post-release languages (specifically Bulgarian, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Slovak, and Latin) were experimentally translated using an AI model. The quality of these translations is not guaranteed, and they may contain mistakes. All other languages were translated by a team of human translators.
Some background music in this game was created with the assistance of AI music generation tools.
I used AI to help me code the game, and make some of the artwork. It is a blend.
Some game artwork and visual assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated by the developer.
Use of Generative AI This game makes selective use of generative AI tools as part of its development pipeline. Generative AI has been used to assist in the creation of certain visual elements, including concept art, some 3D environment assets, NPC prototyping, and promotional/store imagery. These tools are integrated as part of a broader creative workflow. The core design, gameplay systems, level design, programming, balancing, and a significant portion of the art and world-building have been handcrafted and developed directly by the creator using industry-standard tools. Generative AI is used as a complementary tool to enhance productivity and support creative iteration, while maintaining full creative direction and artistic control.
Artificial Intelligence tools (LLMs) were used strictly and exclusively to assist in the translation of interface texts and menus into multiple languages, allowing the game to be accessible to more people. Everything else in the game: art, 3D models, textures, sounds, music, game design, and programming, was 100% created by humans, with absolutely no AI generation.
We just used AI to help with the Steam capsule and some marketing assets
AI-generated art objects
This game uses generative AI in parts of the development process. Claude was used for programming assistance, ChatGPT Images for creating and refining some visual assets, and Suno for producing some music. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, selected, and modified as necessary by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not generate content or code with AI during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
"Music and in-game text translations (12 non-English languages) were created with AI assistance and reviewed by the developer."
Used AI to assist with coding and used to assist editing store page assets/imagery.
I used generative AI tools to assist in the creation of some environmental textures and background concept art. These assets were then manually edited and refined by our team to fit the game's final art style
The store promotional images were generated using AI with manual modifications. Some in-game upgrade icons were generated using AI and then manually refined. Most of the game's multilingual translations were created using AI.
Our core development is currently taking place in Unreal Engine 5.7. We are utilizing its full suite of tools, including the new AI features that assist us with Blueprint scripting and setting up cinematics in the Movie Render Queue. Overall, we treat AI strictly as an assistive tool rather than relying on it to fully generate assets from scratch. Since our game is deeply rooted in folklore, it demands highly specific characteristics and a precise visual identity for the characters, which AI alone cannot accurately reproduce.
We used a Text-to-Speech tool to create a voiceover for the game's trailer.
Generative AI was used for store page translations and trailer music only. The game itself does not contain AI-generated content.
Some icons and spell effects were assisted by AI tools during SVG code design.
This game uses generative AI tools to create a small number of environmental textures and 3D props. All AI-generated assets were manually reviewed, edited and integrated by the developer.
AI-generated art objects
The store page was localized using machine translation.
We used AI assistance for multilingual translation of promotional texts, for visual style suggestions, and for the creation of capsule and library assets. We also used AI tools during development for in-game text localization, as well as for generating certain audio elements and textures/visual content.
Some of the graphical elements contain AI-generated imagery
This game was developed with the help of generative artificial intelligence tools used during the development phase to assist in the creation of certain visual, technical, and content elements. All produced elements were selected, modified, and validated by the developer to ensure their consistency, quality, and integration into the final experience. No content is generated by artificial intelligence in real time during gameplay.
