Used for creating the game banner
Generative AI tools were used in a limited and supportive capacity during the development of this project. AI-generated imagery served primarily as visual reference material for the creation of certain 2D assets and textures. In addition, ChatGPT was utilized to assist with language translation, provide guidance during the debugging process, and support the setup and written presentation of the game’s Steam store page.

AI was used to make this game.
AI is used for cinematic cutscenes and certain art assets, but the majority of the work is done manually. Similarly, code workflows include partial generation for certain C++, C#, and HLSL functions.
Generative AI was used to assist with the creation of some 3D models, music, sound effects, and certain visual assets used in the game and on the store page. Tools such as Meshy AI and Suno AI were used during asset creation. All final assets were reviewed, selected, and edited before being included in the final product.
RogueScape may use generative AI tools as part of the development workflow, primarily to assist with programming, debugging, prototyping, workflow automation, and occasional asset or copy iteration. Any AI-assisted content used in the game, store page, or related marketing materials is reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer before publication.
Generative AI has been used very sparsely. The main use cases were coloring the game title and assisting with coding.
Some code assistance tools and limited generative AI techniques were used during development. Some card artwork has been refined with the assistance of AI-based editing tools.
!! AI translations only !! Explanation: As an indie developer, I want my game to be accessible to as many players around the world as possible. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to hire professional translators for every language I would like to support. In the past, developers often relied on tools like Google Translate to make their games available in more languages. Today, AI translation is another option, and it can produce better results than traditional machine translation. Everything else in the game, including the original text, artwork, sounds, music, game design and code, was created by humans. AI is used only for translation.
AI tools were used as production assistants for specific assets. All assets were designed and directed by the developer.
The things the player sees are mostly made manually by humans. But some visuals, like a couple of seamless textures that are used in the environment, were AI-generated and then modified by hand. AI was used to boost productivity generally, so it was used in a lot of workflows here and there to be finish tasks faster.
Some of the text was translated using AI.
This game uses pre-generated AI-assisted content for certain promotional artwork, visual assets, and audio materials. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.

Artwork, sound, story, localization, and store assets
AI tools were utilized during the development of this application for programming code architecture, store description translations, and the creation of core visual content including avatar illustrations, outfits, and graphic assets. Based on these AI-generated visuals, we carefully handcrafted the layered asset separation and implemented real-time motion synchronization with keyboard and gamepad inputs to optimize it as a streamer tool. We have conducted thorough reviews regarding rights and usage to ensure that users can safely and freely use these avatars, including for commercial streaming purposes.

This game includes the use of generative AI tools in the creation of certain visual and audio elements. All content has been curated and integrated by the developer to ensure a cohesive artistic experience.
logos and cover art are AI-generated
A few visual assets are hand-drawn but most of the assets were created by either Perchance or ChatGPT and then heavily cleaned/edited in photoshop by myself to fit into the game. Music was created by Suno and edited in Audacity. Coding was done from scratch, no AI used in that at all.
Only minor voice effects in the game were generated using AI tools. No AI-generated gameplay, narrative, music, or visual content is included.
We have used Photoshop's "Generative Expand" feature to adapt some marketing assets to additional aspect ratios and sizes.
All background music and translation/localization were made using AI.
This game uses screen reader-type generative AI for in-game menus and terminals.
Some game & marketing assets are developed with developer curated AI-assisted workflows.
An AI tool was used for the background images, along with translation tools such as Google Translate.
Some UI elements of this game are created with AI generative.
Some parts of the soundtrack and certain voice lines were created using AI.
The game contains in-game narrative and dialogue text that was created with the assistance of generative AI and then reviewed by the developer. All artwork and music are human-created.
I use AI to summarize documentation, criticize my code, and help me make sense of error messages. Sometimes I feel discouraged and I ask AI to write stuff for me. Seeing the garbage it produces makes me feel better, and encourages me to try again :)
