Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI helps us localize and optimize this game’s store presence worldwide, while all in-game assets and text are fully handcrafted.
The main art piece for the game was AI generated.
Use of AI as General creative aid in development and for some assets
Pre-generated AI was used during development to assist with some voice generation, audio effects, localization, and certain internal development tasks such as Blender plugin scripting, naming, brainstorming, and coding assistance. No live-generated AI is used during gameplay. All final content is reviewed and integrated by the developer.
Some artwork used within Galandrix was created with the assistance of an AI generation algorithm. All artwork is developed and edited through commercial licensing with Midjourney and Adobe products. The artwork used within is the sole property of Sock Entertainment LLC.
Part of the scenes are generated by AI.

Good morning everyone :), In this case, we have used AI to generate the promotional images for the game shown on Steam, such as the cover. We also used it within our game to explain the initial narrative, introducing the player through a series of images that show what the game world is like. The rest of the game has been created and illustrated by me :) (I’m not good at conceptual art but I am with the characters hahaha). If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Best regards!
Certain assets and images have been edited or generated with the assistance of AI. This includes objects and backgrounds. A small amount of sound effects have been generated.
A public online resource with artificial intelligence was used to create images (sprites) of ship parts and enemies
Musics have been generated by Suno AI
Some UI icons were created based on detailed descriptions provided to the AI tool, while others were created by rendering 3D models and then fine-tuned using AI-assisted retouching. All final versions were selected and approved by developers.
In early development of this game placeholder art, some audio and a little in-game text was generated by AI. This content, for the most part, will be removed as we move from Alpha to Beta and into release. However, it is possible that some of this will remain in the game upon release.
Generative AI was used to create in-game character art.
Note: AI survival or pre-rendered content is included in the game as follows: 1, In-game character voice-overs 2、Character stand-up drawings (and modified by the artist) 3, Pictures from the game event cards
AI generated images were used for the Cosmic Huntress hero art and her spell icons. Manual modifications were made to each image to ensure consistency.
We have used a few pieces of generated AI art during development and in marketing materials. These will most likely be replaced by our own art and mainly used as placeholder. However, some AI art pieces might end up in the final game. Further, we have used AI to help us with generating and translating text that is used in the game. This is always curated by us to make sure it meets our quality standards.
AI is only occasionally used to debug code, not to write the actually code or generate any sort of assets for the game.
AI was used to create a title screen for our game along with some marketing.
I only got javascript code support. I got help with general game performance and code optimization. In no way was the whole or a large part of the game made by artificial intelligence. I just got help at some points where I got stuck and used it to speed up my work. All games have been tested many times by real players. We definitely do not publish games without testing them and seeing their errors.
The main capsule image that appears in the card when sharing Battle Marine's store page URL on social media such as Twitter is created using a generative AI.
In game character art has been generated by AI but has been altered manually to best suit the style of the game.
The game uses a couple AI art pieces as splash art and main menu background.
AI image generation is used for some items and background images.
No AI is used in the game. Only used in illustrations outside of the game.
There is use of artificial intelligence to improve presentation quality
use only for covers
I used AI to obtain widescreen support for the stage 1 background image (originally only supporting 4:3)
we make it some asset for the game. only used for the visual and sound.
We use AI to assist in making static images for story telling, god images, and the voices you hear in game.
We have been using AI tools as inspiration to maximize our own creativity.
Some code and artwork was ai generated
AI art is used for the capsule and for some in-game backgrounds such as the background at the general store and blacksmith.
AI was used to generate all 2d graphics seen in the game. Mostly UI elements and Logo's
The trees in the Germany Stage (shown in the first trailer) were generated with retro-diffusion. I intend to replace them with hand-drawn trees in the final game. There's also the "modern art" enemy that has ai-generated images displayed inside a frame. Besides that everything is hand made.
Using "https://stablediffusionweb.com/" 8 screenshots were created for the initial story in the game, as well as the developer's logo on the start screen.
Two photos on the store page had the background generated by A.I. - Library Capsule (600 x 900 px) - Page background (1438 x 810 px)
Some of the backgrounds in a few levels are based on images created with AI, as well as a few props in the levels. They were only used as a basis to start from and have been heavily edited manually afterwards to make them fit with the rest of the game's pixel art artstyle.
This game involves localization works (Russian, Korean) generated from GPT.
The Void Reaper logo was crafted with the help of AI, ensuring a unique and captivating design that perfectly embodies the essence of the game. Additionally, the main font and key artwork that define the game's aesthetic were generated using AI. This approach allowed us to create visuals that are both striking and original, adding an extra layer of depth to the game's atmospher
Part of the screen is assisted by AI
AI-generated content: - background image of the first screen
The cover photo of our game was created using artificial intelligence technology. Other than that, there is no other use of artificial intelligence in our game.

The program code was partly generated by GitHub Copilot.
Some of the spaceship and UI assets in the game are produced with artificial intelligence. The designs of these assets were made by us, but their shape, color and size were enriched with artificial intelligence.
The game's intro video and ingame backgrounds were first created with 3D renders and then styled using Stable Diffusion. However, no images were created from scratch with ai. The resulting visuals were then cleaned up and refined using PixageFX and a pixel art editor. Additionally, a large portion of the character voiceovers were done using 'murf.ai' except 'Mike Jack'.
Partial image assets are generated using AI assistance
