Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI (Claude, Anthropic) was used to draft narrative text including level briefing descriptions, objective text, and in-game educational hints. All narrative content was written collaboratively with human review and editing before inclusion in the final game.
We did use AI generated images, but human edited and perfected images for our Steam Store and logos. Static UI elements and backgrounds were also generated using AI, but again, human edited.
We have used generative AI tools to translate the game into additional languages and make it accessible to a wider audience. The development team has reviewed and overseen the integration of all text to ensure it is displayed correctly and that the interface and menus function properly.
Some static visual assets used for Jigsaw Sweeper were created or refined with generative AI under developer direction, then manually selected, reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. This includes Steam achievement icons and may include selected store or marketing artwork.
The game does not generate AI content during gameplay, does not use AI to respond to player input, and does not connect to any external AI service while the game is running.
The Custom Image Puzzle feature lets players import local images from their own device. These images are not generated by the game, are not processed by an AI service, and are not shared through an online service.
Generative AI was used during development to create certain music, assist with localization, and produce some icon assets. All AI-generated content included in the final game was reviewed, edited, and approved by the development team before release.
Some of Tapis's visual assets were created with the help of generative AI tools. These elements are produced ahead of time, then art-directed, selected and reworked by the studio to fit the game's world. No AI generates any content while you play: the gameplay, rules, balancing and all systems are entirely designed and hand-validated.
Topological Board Game used generative AI tools during development to assist with programming, documentation, store-page text, localization drafts, and design iteration. All AI-assisted material is reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game or store page.
The game does not use generative AI to create live player-facing content during gameplay. It does not connect to external third-party AI services during normal gameplay. Local robot opponents, rule-based analysis, search, simulation, and self-play/research tools may be included, but these are gameplay/strategy systems rather than live generative AI content systems.
Audio: AI voice-generation tools, including ElevenLabs, were used to create character dialogue and narration tracks.
Visual Elements: AI image-generation tools were used to create some background textures, props, and 2D image assets used in the game’s environments.
All generated assets were personally reviewed, edited, and reworked by the developer to ensure that they align with the game’s setting and creative direction before being safely incorporated into the game.
Some artwork used in this game was created with the assistance of generative AI. All AI-assisted graphics were further edited, refined, and finalized by the developer before being included in the final game.
Generative AI was used to create the Library Hero artwork, the background image displayed in the main menu, and a short pre-rendered video shown at the beginning of the “Demo Night” scene. All of these assets are pre-generated and no content is generated by AI during gameplay.
This game uses AI-generated content in the following ways:
Images: AI tools were used to help compose the wine bottle label artwork.
Music: AI tools were used to compose the in-game radio music and sound effects.
Some artwork in this game was created using generative AI (NightCafe) from text prompts, then edited and incorporated into the final visuals. AI is not used to generate content during gameplay.
This game uses generative AI tools to assist in creating some content, including certain textures, 3D assets, and voice acting. These AI-assisted assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer as part of the game’s production process.
Some visual assets, promotional artwork, and store graphical assets were created or assisted using generative AI tools. All assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game by the developer.
AI was used to assist with the localization process.
All other core game content including game design, programming, art direction, and gameplay systems
was created by the human development team.
AI was used to translate the game into certain languages. When selecting one of these languages for the first time, a notification appears. Additionally, a marker is displayed next to the language name in the options menu.
Furthermore, AI was utilized to generate some of the graphical assets and may have been used in the creation of videos.
This game's development made partial use of generative AI tools. Generative AI (ChatGPT and ElevenLabs' image generation features) was used to create some artwork, including the title screen and field background images, the title logo, and some of the special clover and UI icons. ElevenLabs' audio generation features were used for the BGM and sound effects. Generative AI was also used to help localize the game into languages other than Japanese (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, and French). All AI-generated assets and translations were reviewed and adjusted by the developer before being incorporated into the game.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in creating some pre-generated visual assets for the game and its promotional materials, as well as parts of the English localization. All AI-assisted content was reviewed by the developer and edited where necessary. No content is generated by AI while the game is running.
THE UNSHARED uses pre-rendered AI-generated assets: the CURATOR's voice (Kokoro-82M TTS) and two UI images (logo and menu background). No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Some graffiti textures were created using AI, entirely based on our own original game/licensed assets. No copyrighted or third-party materials were used in the process. All AI-generated textures have been manually reviewed, repainted, and edited.
This game utilizes generative AI technologies during development. Specifically, AI tools (such as ElevenLabs) were used to create some character voiceovers and radio dialogues. AI assistance was also employed in generating certain game assets and conceptual sketches. All AI-generated content has been manually post-processed and optimized to maintain the game's psychological horror atmosphere.
Generative AI is used only to assist with localization and translation of game-related text. No gameplay, artwork, audio, or other player-facing content is generated by AI.
