Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Some visuals and audio are AI generated.
To enhance the production process and ensure the highest quality of content, our game incorporates images created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Additionally, we have utilized AI in the editing process of our extensive in-game texts, ensuring linguistic accuracy and the elimination of errors.
This game uses AI assistance to create some of the 2D art assets.
We generate Artwork with AI
Some background images in the game have been generated with the help of artificial intelligence.
Temporary Artworks and Music
Some code and artwork was ai generated
The game uses a mix of hand drawn and AI generated art, most of this then heavily edited by hand.
We use AI for some of the character portraits in the game.
Prototypes for pregenerated content were used in one of the announcements.
The Steam capsule artwork relies on AI-generated character visuals, further refined through manual editing. The "Suspicious Accident" puzzles use AI-generated artwork for scene elements, arranged and edited manually for the final compositions.
Graphic
AI was partially used for the creation of the Steam page cover, as well as to assist with the translation of UI and texts in the Early Access version.
All character voice acting is AI-generated, but just a few characters have voice acting. It is not an important feature of this game, since it focuses on combat. Voice acting can be disabled in the game options. Ideally, all AI voice acting should be replaced by human voice acting in the final version of the game, but this is yet to be decided.
Translations are AI generated. NOTHING else is AI generated!
AI generated images have been used to as a starting point for icons, characters, and elements of some backgrounds. In nearly every case images are then digitally painted over to remove unwanted artifacts and give all the artwork a similar style. Every effort has been made to produce unique content that does not infringe on any copyright.
Generative AI has been used for no other purpose than to provide background imagery for store artwork and marketing.
Artwork placeholders
Dev uses generative AI tools to help develop some in game assets.
1. We used ChatGPT-4 to make some custom javascript plugins. 2. Used ChatGPT-4/DALL-E3 to generate some of the faces of NPC's, also some icons for the system menu.
Dynamic Aging: Unit portraits realistically age over time. Each character is initially AI-generated and then hand-finished by our artist.
Some dialogue backgrounds and icons use AI generation.
The game use AI generated music and some pictures generated by AI.
We confirm that AI-assisted tools were used in the development of our game. The specific scope and manner of use are as follows: 1. Type of AI-Generated Content: * Text Content: We used AI text-generation tools to assist in creating initial drafts for some of the in-game copy during the early conceptual stages of development. * This includes content for: * Background stories and design documents for boss characters, frigates, and other units. * Descriptive text for player skills. * Preliminary outlines and descriptions for the game's overall story background. * In-game text such as enemy names and skill descriptions. 2. Our Workflow and Human Oversight (The Key Part): * AI's role was that of an "Assistant Tool": The AI was used solely to generate preliminary, unpolished text drafts and inspiration based on core ideas and directions provided by our producers. * Deep Human Optimization and Review: All AI-generated text underwent strict review, selection, rewriting, and optimization by our producers and development team. We ensured: * Creative Direction: The final design direction and core ideas were entirely determined by the human team. * Content Ownership: We hold full and legal rights to all final content included in the game. The content, after profound human modification and optimization, is no longer a purely AI-generated product but the intellectual property of our team. * Quality and Compliance Control: We ensured all textual content met our quality standards and Steam's distribution rules, containing no infringing, offensive, or inappropriate material. 3. Commitment and Assurance: * We guarantee that the final version of the game does not directly include any unmodified AI-generated output. * We take full responsibility for all content in our game. In Summary: AI was used as a tool for assistance and inspiration during the design phase, but the final generation, approval, and copyright of all game content are the sole responsibility of our human development team.
I used AI tools during development to help with code optimization, solve problems like pathfinding and mathematical formulas, and assist with English translation and proofreading.
1. We used ChatGPT-4 to make some custom javascript plugins. 2. Used ChatGPT-4/DALL-E3 to generate some of the faces of NPC's, also some icons for the system menu.

Political Arena is being produced by a small team on a tight budget. We’re proud to have worked with a number of gifted artists, designers, developers and other creators on many of our core systems and assets. We have employed AI art assets only when it exceeds our budget capacity to provide fair wages for our team. We have employed AI to create or modify specialized, low-frequency art assets including art for certain event windows. Nearly all of our game’s most visible art assets, including its UI, backgrounds and character art were all produced by experienced artists.
Generative AI was used for the background of the store page capsule art.
I use Grok to help render background images for Scenes and the stores in order to set the tone/atmosphere.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of some art and music assets, a portion of which are included in the final game. This includes select in-game visuals and music tracks that were generated or enhanced using AI tools. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated by human developers to ensure it meets quality standards and does not infringe on any intellectual property. No live AI content is generated during gameplay. The game does not use AI to create or modify content while it is running. All assets are pre-generated and static within the final release.
I will not directly provide any AI services, but plan to only retain the interface for external AI to take over the game logic in the game. Users can use their own trained language models, and they can only solve problems such as computing power by themselves. I plan to not allow users to enter text in the game, so that users have no chance of inducing language model generation. However, some overfitting language models will ignore the prompts and output nfsw. At the same time, I used two methods: 1. Limit the output length and suppress it from the root. 2. Keyword check to see if nfsw content exists. If someone tries to report it, he should report it to the person who gave him the language model. If the user enables AI, I will change the name of the enabled AI service into a game watermark to prove that it is the user's own problem.
There are two A.I. Minds within BQ. The first mind creates the content/visuals. The second mind interacts with the player in the form of attackable NPCs or friendly NPCs. But both minds never communicate with each other, and the first mind never communicates with the player.
My game uses AI quite frequently. Every logo you see is a product of the collaboration between a human and an AI. Every song you hear is a product of human-AI collaboration. Every player report card uses AI generated text modularly pieced together from smaller chunks. The match commentator is using an AI generated voice. This is a modern game that uses modern technology to its full potential.
Regarding AI usage: The game employs AI in only two areas 1. Character voice lines (disabled by default) The ultra-large script (800k words) makes authentic voice acting financially unaffordable for our small studio. 2. "Seek Answers" function in the game lobby’s Sosoth (NPC) interaction interface For entertainment purposes, we used AI chat. What we can guarantee: Beyond these, translation, scripts, design, art, animation, and other game components absolutely did not use AI.
Some visual and written elements—such as portraits, item icons, and quest text—were created or enhanced with the help of AI tools. These were based on original hand-drawn assets and carefully refined to match the game's overall style. The majority of in-game visuals remain fully handcrafted.
Warchief uses AI to generate UI unit images, enhancing the visual experience with dynamically created artwork. Each unit's appearance is crafted to fit seamlessly within the game's aesthetic, ensuring a fresh look.
AI-assisted tools may also be used during development for temporary voice-over drafts, sound exploration, and visual concept iteration, strictly as part of the production workflow. Final voice acting, sound effects, music selection, visual assets, and UI elements are curated, edited, or replaced by the developer before release to meet quality, consistency, and licensing standards. No AI systems generate live audio, voices, images, or visual content during gameplay. All final in-game audiovisual content is authored, validated, and intentionally integrated into the game experience.
Only few images like alerite packs (In-game money) were generated by artificial intelligence
Some graphics, music, and translations were created with the help of AI and refined manually.
This game includes translations created with the assistance of AI and edited for quality.

Some Picture that's all
No generative AI is used to write content or produce any kind of imagery or assets for the game. For localization, we hire professional translators with AI tools to reduce the workload. Final translations include both machine-translated text that's been human-reviewed and directly human-translated text (e.g. "The megacorps created Cyber Knights as the first quantum-secure data couriers").
AI Generated: - Loading Screens - Store Graphical Assets - Achievements Icons. - Cinematics & Voice Overs.
We are a small indie team and as our game includes close to 200 characters you can interact with, we have used Midjourney to produce their portraits for the Early Access release of the game. Depending on feedback we may revisit this at a later stage.
