We use AI tools as a support system for our small development team to enhance the quality and balance of the game. Specifically: Balancing & Math: We use AI to help calculate and balance the game ecosystem (drop rates, damage scaling, and economy). Concepting: AI is used to generate reference images and mood boards to inspire our artists. The final in-game visual assets are hand-crafted or manually refined based on these concepts. Drafting: AI assists in drafting initial marketing copy and lore structures, which are then finalized by our writers.

During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.

As a two-person independent team with no dedicated art department or budget, we have utilized generative AI to create all visual assets within the game. This includes: Environment & Backgrounds: All village landscapes, interiors, and atmospheric backdrops depicting 1920s Anatolia. Character Portraits: All visual representations of the villagers and historical figures. UI & Icons: The majority of the user interface elements, icons, and parchment-style menus. Concept Art: All marketing materials and store page assets. We have carefully curated, edited, and integrated these AI-generated visuals to ensure they align with our specific historical narrative and charcoal-style aesthetic. Our use of this technology was the only way to bring our vision of this National Struggle story to life with the limited resources of a two-man studio.
This product uses AI-generated content in a limited capacity. AI-generated images were used for locked achievement icons. AI-generated audio was partially used for character sound elements. All AI-generated assets were reviewed and integrated by the development team.
The 3D models are standard purchased assets (e.g., Synty Studios) and are NOT AI-generated. Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) were used to assist in writing parts of the game code during development. The background music tracks and sound effects were created using generative AI tools. Additionally, some marketing materials on the Store Page (such as the logo and capsule artwork) were created using generative AI tools.
This game uses Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist with localization and translation during development.
Some visual assets in this project were created or assisted using artificial intelligence tools, including pre-rendered backgrounds, character illustrations, and interface textures. All content has been carefully reviewed and manually refined to ensure consistency with the game's visual style.
AI Has Been Used To Create The Game Capsules and Few images used in game
This is a game that you can make games in it by describing the tags, we are using AI to achieve such gameplay! Some chat is also generated using LLM! Part of the art & promotional assets are generated by AI model.
AI tools were used to assist in the programming and scripting phases of development. The AI acted as a coding companion to help optimize game logic, debug scripts, and implement standard architectural patterns. All AI-generated code has been manually reviewed, tested, and modified by the developer to ensure quality and functionality..Additionally, some static 2D assets (such as UI icons or talent card illustrations) were created using AI generation tools and then manually edited for artistic consistency
Market Hours features an opt-in Enhanced Al runtime which offers more immersive and realistic dialogue through a local LLM.
This game features music from a variety of genres where the lyrics describe the anatomy of the hand and the biomechanics of posture. These songs were performed with the help of generative AI, and the album art for these songs was also created with the help of generative AI.
All visual assets, including capsule images, logo, background illustrations, and character artwork, were generated using an AI tool. Each asset was manually edited, curated, and approved by the developer to ensure quality, accuracy, and appropriateness. No AI-generated content is created or modified during gameplay.
AI was used to generate voice acting for the antagonist (Nori) and some UI/texture assets. All content has been manually reviewed and edited
Generative AI was used to modify a couple of textures.
Game code is written with AI acceleration
- AI evaluates player-entered text to determine story branching and outcomes. - Generative AI is used in the creation of certain graphic and music assets.
We are using AI to generate Sprites of the Characters that are Based on Movie Characters, also to create parts of the ingame cutscenes.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
In the game, some visuals, voice acting, and music were generated by artificial intelligence.
We used A.I. in some assets of our game.
AI is used only for generating music tracks. All artwork and visual assets are fully hand-created, and no AI is used during gameplay.
Part of the program code, in-game image assets, and store page promotional materials in this game were generated or produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence technology.
Procedural and AI-assisted tools may be used during development. All final content is created and approved by the development team.
This game uses AI-assisted tools in the creation of certain UI elements, icon images, music, sound effects, and translations. Character designs and background illustrations are fully created by the developer without the use of AI. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and finalized to ensure quality and consistency.
Generative AI tools were used during the development process to assist with the creation of visual assets and certain supporting materials. All visual, audio, and text content included in the final game has been reviewed, edited, and manually integrated by the developer. The game does not use any generative AI systems to create content in real time during gameplay. All content complies with Steam store policies and applicable copyright guidelines.
Our team uses generative AI tools For Marketing/Promotional Images and some in game assets.
Characters voices are being tested with AI for the development phase. Should be replaced before lauch.
See the description for an extended discussion about the tools used to produce this game. AI use in this game includes Claude and Claude Code for assisting with implementing complex systems and bug fixing. The codex's image-examination assets are pre-rendered during development: in-game screenshots are composited via ChatGPT and then some are stylistically processed by a model running locally on my laptop. I experimented a bit with Adobe Podcast to make recordings on my not-very-good mic sound a little better but I wasn't so impressed with the results so I don't think much of this made it in. Most sound effects were found in online libraries but in some cases they were generated using ElevenLabs and other sound generation models when suitable alternatives could not be found. Some 3D models and textures were created using Meshy. Text was checked for spelling and grammar with Grammarly and Claude.
AI was used to iterate different variations of concept art, textures, sprites and capsule art. The final versions always went through manual editing and adjustments. AI was also used to perform quick image processing edits and to generate boiler plate code.
Utilized AI to refine drafts, generate some models, and compose the game's music
We use AI for some code generation and text translation. We do not use AI for images or audio.
We used generative AI to help draft some puzzles and music during development, the final assets were polished and finalized by artists.
Some in-game images are generated using AI. It has also been used to facilitate case creation and test consistency. In many texts, it has been used to correct grammar or potential errors.
To ensure that players from diverse cultural backgrounds can fully immerse themselves in the narrative, AI-assisted tools were utilized for localization purposes. This allows us to bridge language barriers and make the game accessible to a global audience.
We used AI for coding assistance
To bring this vision to life as a solo developer, I have utilized generative AI tools to craft the game’s art, music, and UI. This allowed me to focus 100% of my manual effort on balancing the competitive PvP, PvE, and complex environmental mechanics that define the core experience. Generative AI was used throughout development to create the game's audiovisual content, including 2D environmental assets, emblems, musical, and promotional video materials. All assets have been vetted to ensure they are unique to this project and non-infringing.
There are two characters in the game that give a comedic running commentary of things that are happening in-game, things the player is doing and also as part of the tutorial to teach the player how to cook in the kitchen. The voices for these two characters are using pre-made AI generated sentences.
This game uses artificial intelligence to generate some images.
We use AI to power dynamic conversations with hand-crafted NPCs. Each character has a unique personality, backstory, and knowledge base. Their dialogue is generated in real-time based on your questions, creating authentic interview experiences that feel natural and unpredictable. The AI runs completely offline on your machine. No internet connection required, and your conversations remain private.
The game utilized AI for some creative brainstorming during the concept design and demo phases, and AI was also employed for initial creation in certain auxiliary systems such as icons, animations, and special effects.
We use AI voice on some npc character voices
The game has a single AI-generated image of deliberate low quality in it, because I wanted to have that. It also has the "ASA-Intelligence" text generation and modification system, which is technically and pragmatically incomparable to the function of a large language model, but is technically AI. It is not trained on text from anything but the game itself, and is ran entirely locally during certain parts of gameplay.
I used AI generated content for the Steam page.
The visual assets for the cards used in the game were created using generative AI tools during the development process. All generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer to ensure it aligns with the game's artistic vision and standards. The game code was developed with the assistance of AI coding tools but contains no real-time AI generation mechanics for the player.
Generative AI was used during the development process to create static background textures, minor prop details (e.g., labels), and voiceovers. Voice assets were created using AI voice synthesis/changer tools based on the developer's original vocal recordings. All AI-generated assets were manually reviewed and implemented. No AI is used to generate content in real-time while the game is running.
Some visuals and sounds created in this game are produced and integrated by artificial intelligence.
