Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I use AI to improve images.
Some art assets were implemented using AI.
Dice Tech Dominion was developed as a solo indie project with the help of several AI tools during production. Meshy.ai was used to create temporary 3D monster model assets. Midjourney was used to create temporary monster portrait images and related visual concept material. Claude and Codex were used as coding assistants for implementation support, debugging help, project organization, documentation, and assistance with some visual effect and animation logic. All gameplay design decisions, balancing decisions, final implementation choices, editing, integration, testing, and publishing decisions are made by the developer. Some current visual assets are AI-generated or AI-assisted. My goal is to replace the AI-generated imagery and temporary visual assets with original artwork and models created by human artists as the project grows. I am opening paid work opportunities and commissions for artists to help create final human-made monster artwork, illustrations, and visual assets for the game. No AI tool is used to generate live gameplay content during play. The AI tools were used during development as production assistance and temporary asset creation tools.
Our game was hand-crafted with love, however we use newer AI technologies, limited to the Arena Tactics' Enhanced Auto Battler mode, to enable a feature whereby players can write plain-text instructions to inform the Computer/AI's realtime gameplay.
We utilized Generative AI as an assistive tool during our development process. Some 2D art assets in the game were built upon AI-generated base concepts, which were subsequently heavily repainted and modified by our human art team to perfectly match the game's unique visual style. Additionally, AI tools were used to assist with the initial localization and translation for non-Chinese languages.
AI image generation tools were used to create the store page assets, the start screen, and the character portraits for this game.
This game contains certain images and sounds that were generated with the use of AI.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
Several music tracks used AI tools during production. When possible I used historical paintings for reference in drawing pixel art for cards, but some card art used generated art for inspiration instead.
Some visual assets used in the store page and marketing materials may include AI-assisted elements. These assets are reviewed and modified by the development team to ensure quality and consistency with the game's art direction.
Some scenery/environment visual elements (map backgrounds) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development and were later reviewed, edited, and integrated manually by the team. All other game content — characters, UI, icons, gameplay sprites, tilesets, audio and text — was produced without generative AI, using original artwork and/or licensed third-party assets.
Some languages include text that was initially generated using machine translation as a base, with partial revisions and feedback incorporated by translation contributors. Additionally, this response itself has been translated from Japanese using generative AI.
Some of the game art and game trailers were generated with the aid of AI tools
We have added support for Chinese, German, French, and Portuguese using AI-based translation to make the game more accessible to a wider audience.
AI was used to generate some basic art assets, which were then modified by humans.AI was used to generate some basic art assets, which were then modified by humans.
AI was used to help generate marketing materials and give better descriptions for the Steam Store page
Some translations and text are AI generated
The game may use AI to produce game promotion content.
Generative AI is initially used in the localization, but later replaced with human-translated text in the main release version. Additional languages only available in the optional "testing" beta branch contains AI-translated text that is not yet replaced.
During the game's development, we may use tools that make use of procedural generation or AI. In every case, the final product reflects the creativity and artistic direction of the development team.
Some store artwork and promotional images were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools. All game logic, commentary text, fight simulation, and gameplay content are authored by the developer using traditional programming — no generative AI is used during gameplay.
The loading and main menu background picture was generated by AI.
Hecatomb uses AI generated artwork for card art, backgrounds, and other in-game assets.
Some visual assets in this game were generated with the assistance of generative AI tools. These assets were reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the final game.
This game uses AI-generated content for some of its art assets.
Some in-game artwork, including silver and gold tier chess pieces, game boards, and character upgrade images, were created using AI image generation tools.
The developer used generative AI tools to assist in creating some of the game's visual assets (such as certain background environments, UI elements, or base sketches for character portraits). All AI-generated assets have been strictly reviewed, manually edited, and pixel-refined by the developer to ensure they fully align with the game's overall retro art style and world-building.
In the interest of transparency, illustrations were created with the help of AI-assisted tools, used as creative support within a human-led artistic process.
I have used Claude Code to create the game itself code and assets.
Some of the images in this game are created using artificial intelligence.
Some pixel art assets (item icons, monster sprites) were created with AI assistance.
Personality Imprint utilizes generative AI tools to enhance certain visual and narrative elements. Specifically, AI was used to assist in creating some character portraits, background art for specific in-game text sequences, and select marketing assets for the store page. All other core components, including 3D models, level design, and additional art assets, are either handcrafted by our team or sourced from licensed asset libraries.
- some UI Icons have been generated using AI Tools and were hand-edited by a human artist
We use AI for some of our images. All generated images are manually corrected, retouched, and processed by our developers before being integrated into the final game assets. We use AI to assist in-game logic and algorithms.
I was the archaic and fragmented DNA in the amber bound insect. AI was the frog DNA. Original Card Game: All card art is original, hand painted on canvas and physically printed on real cards (5,000 in total). The face images are scans of those pained canvas prints/ cards. AI was used to generate the card's backs and some of the playing surfaces/backgrounds. Coding: While I on and off experience in JavaScript since 2002, AI was used to help generate and debug portions of the code. I especially used AI when predicting potential conflicts and integration problems (especially Steam integration) before implementing new code. I found it very helpful when changing long sets of repetitive blocks of code. The volume of human error that was cut down was tremendous. Localization: Localization will be finalized in Beta. Initial translations were done with AI. Corrections and finalization will be done after input from the community (new game, some new terms). Music: We are Streamer first. Streamer need background music that won't affect their monetization. From the beginning, music that was all original, was critical to me. I wanted Streamers to have no worries when letting our background music play for hours. Musicians want astronomical payments and deals that will leave me perpetually paying them. I generated all of our music in Suno and own it all. I plan on releasing more, in two hour blocks, that will be available as free DLC's. All AI I used was after human talent quoted cost ineffective numbers or outright turned me down. This is a simple card game. A vehicle for a game and art I have made. I set out to make an affordable, sturdy, reliable, user focused game. AI helped me make the best product I could.
This game uses Generative AI in two ways: 1. During Development (Pre-development): Approximately 75% of the game's code was written using AI (Godot GDScript), with the remaining 25% hand-written. Additionally, all of the game's soundtrack and some pixel art backgrounds (only the trees and red crystals) were created using AI. The rest of the artwork was entirely hand-drawn. 2.During Gameplay (Live-generated): The game features a "Card Fusion" mechanic that uses a local AI model (Stable Diffusion) running on the player's hardware to dynamically generate new card illustrations. A strict keyword filtering system is in place to prevent the generation of NSFW or inappropriate content.
"Approximately 30 static monster sprites were created using the Nana Banana AI tool to serve as high-fidelity placeholders for this solo-developed project. These assets are a temporary measure to realize the game's tactical scope; we are committed to replacing them with handcrafted human artwork as development milestones are met. We confirm these materials do not contain illegal content or infringe on existing intellectual property."
AI was used to generate content that ships with the game: - NPC portrait artwork (AI-generated illustrations) - Localization / translation assistance - Marketing copy and store page text
This game uses AI-generated content. Marketing artwork and store capsule images were created using image generation. Voice narration audio was generated using text-to-speech AI. Game code was developed with AI assistance. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated by the developer.
Generative AI Disclosure: In the development of PredaDeck, we have utilized generative AI tools to enhance the gaming experience and ensure high-quality content: Visual Assets: Some sprites and environmental art elements were generated or refined using AI to maintain a vibrant and diverse ecosystem. Scripts & Narrative: AI tools assisted in drafting certain gameplay scripts and refining in-game dialogue to ensure consistency and creative depth. Localization & Text: AI was used to assist in translating game text into multiple languages and polishing descriptions to ensure clarity for players worldwide. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and integrated by our team to ensure it meets our creative standards and copyright requirements.
This game was developed with the assistance of generative AI tools for coding support and some visual asset creation. All content was reviewed and finalized by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
The following are AI generated content: Main menu background image
The Library Capsule, Library Header, and Library Hero are partially AI generated. The anime styled art is AI with some human edits but the logo and in game art are not AI.
Some in-game assets and localized texts were generated or translated with the assistance of AI tools and have been manually refined.
Most of the art for the initial database was created with AI to avoid paying any licensing fees.
The developer uses generative AI tools throughout the entire development process of this game. Visual Arts: All character illustrations, card designs, backgrounds, and UI elements were generated using AI. The developer has manually reviewed and post-processed these assets to ensure artistic consistency and quality.
