Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game uses AI-generated Text-to-Speech technology for character voiceovers.
Generative AI tools (img2img / AI styling) were used to enhance and stylize original, hand-created base artwork and concept sketches into finalized high-fidelity assets.
Some pre-generated 2D artwork, character portraits, branding, and marketing assets were created using generative AI tools and subsequently selected, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
Artificial intelligence was used in the creation of some 2D artwork and the trailer's audio.
During the development of El sonido de un sueño, generative AI tools were used as support for the creation and prototyping of some game assets, including 3D models, visual elements, music and programming assistance. All AI-generated or AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, integrated and manually adjusted by the development team before being included in the game. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay. No text, images, music, dialogue or narrative decisions are generated by AI while the player is playing.
Some visual assets and textures used in this game were created or assisted by generative AI and have been reviewed and modified by the developer before being included in the final game.
Generative AI was not used to create any in-game content resources. AI was utilized solely for the translation of certain in-game dialogue and external content, such as our Steam page and community posts.
Some of the in-game text has been translated using AI.

This game uses AI-generated audio content, including some music, sound, and voice elements.
Artificial intelligence was used to create certain user interface elements and to modify the Steam capsule. Although the background of the Steam capsule comes directly from the game, the image was modified using artificial intelligence.
The game contains content created with the assistance of AI tools. AI-assisted tools were used during development, including programming assistance and the creation of some audio and 3D assets. These assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game by the developers.
Some of this game's assets were made with the assistance of generative AI tools and were reviewed, curated and hand-finished by the developer. No content is generated while you play.
1. Game Logo (Marketing / Store Page Asset) The game's logo was created using generative AI tools. This logo appears on the store page, marketing materials, and within the game itself 2. Player Battle Armor Voice (In-Game Audio) The player's battle armor uses voice samples generated using the ElevenLabs AI voice synthesis platform. This voice is heard in-game when the player receives feedback from the armor system (e.g., status alerts, warnings, or interactions).
Generative AI was used in this game to assist with the creation of some character voiceovers and in the coding process. The game's visual and narrative design were created by our team.

Artificial Intelligence was used primarily for generating Steam capsule artwork, specific gameplay sounds, and assistance with mathematical code functions. All AI-generated content was manually edited and reviewed throughout every stage of development.
some of the 3D vases are created with help of AI
The store page and promotional images for VoxCaster were made with the help of generative AI tools. The game itself contains no real-time AI-generated content. All AI-assisted art is human-reviewed.
Some store page and marketing visual assets, such as capsule art, screenshots, thumbnails, and promotional video imagery, were created or enhanced with generative AI tools. The game does not use generative AI during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
AI is used for store page capsule art and in-game character portrait art creation, which are then remodeled by our graphic.
The hero image, small capsule, main capsule, vertical capsule, library capsule, library hero image, library logo and library home page art were created with AI assistance. The in-game warning UI and spray decals are AI-generated. Besides this, all gameplay videos and screenshots you see in the store are captured from actual gameplay footage, with no retouching or AI generation applied.
If I could. I wouldn't use ai for some of the art. But I can't afford artists or anything.
Some images and music have been enhanced using AI.
AI will be used for text correction and translations to other languages beyond initial announced.
Currently I am developing this game as a solo self-funded "indie dev" and games need a lot of assets to be fun. I currently have used free (Creative Commons Zero) assets for audio, and generative AI for some placeholders in the game. I am currently in the process of finding both audio and visual artists to replace the AI generated assets, it takes time and resources, but ultimately I want all the assets to be hand authored by humans.
Some sound effects were created with AI tools, and a small number of background 3D assets were initially AI-generated, then manually optimized. Parts of the promotional artwork were made with AI assistance. Everything else, including all gameplay systems, the driving and economy mechanics, and the street-by-street recreation of Istanbul's historic peninsula, is hand-crafted by a solo developer.
AI was only used to assist with the generation of package sticker textures.
AI tools were used during development solely for asset optimization and text proofreading.
We used AI to translate the in-game text into other languages, and to write the store page description and translate it into other languages.
The Game Icon and Logo were made from the inspirations of AI.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with drafting and editing Steam store page text and marketing copy. The game does not use generative AI to create live gameplay content.
Generative AI was used for brainstorming concepts and ideas during the design process, as well as for creating a few 2D visual assets and posters within the game environment.
The whole game is AI slop, the machines wanted to know what it felt like to scratch.
This game may use AI tools to help create some map and UI assets used inside the game, along with sound effects, since the small development team does not include a dedicated UI or sound designer. All content assisted by AI is reviewed and adjusted by the developer before being included in the game. No AI is used to generate content in real time during gameplay, and core visual art is created without AI. We are working to remove all AI visuals before the full release.
The visual branding featured on the can was created with the assistance of AI-generated imagery.
Some objects, textures, images, and audio assets in this game were created or enhanced using generative artificial intelligence. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer as part of the game's artistic vision.
This game was developed by a single person, with support from artificial intelligence in various areas.
This game uses AI-generated music (Suno) and AI-generated voice acting (ElevenLabs). All AI-generated content has been reviewed and curated by the developer before inclusion in the game.
Art Assets: We use generative AI tools to assist in the creation of store page assets (capsules). Localization: We use AI-powered tools to assist in translating and localizing game text into various languages.
Some of the 2D artwork for this game was created with the assistance of generative AI image tools. This includes the Steam store page capsule and library images, the game logo, and some small 2D product icons used in-game. All AI-generated output was manually reviewed, edited and composited by the developer before use. All 3D models, environments, gameplay systems and code were created without generative AI. No content is generated by AI while the game is running.
Allows NPCs to have voice-based real-time conversation with the player
Generative AI tools were used as supportive measures during the development process in the following areas: - Localization: AI was used to assist with text translation and editing across supported languages. - Sound Design: AI tools may be used for generating foundational sound elements.

Some store page promotional artwork may include AI generated or AI-assisted elements. These materials are limited to store/marketing presentation assets and are not part of the gameplay content.
About the Use of AI in the Game AI-assisted tools have been used in various aspects of this project's development process. Programming: AI-assisted tools were used during the development of game systems, user interfaces, and various technical features. The generated code was reviewed, edited, tested, and adapted to the project's needs by the development team. Visuals: AI tools were used in the creation of certain concept designs, environment artwork, and visual content. However, all content was reviewed, refined, and adapted to fit the artistic direction of the project by the development team. Creative Process: The development process generally follows three stages. First, the game concept, environment designs, and core creative decisions are created by the team. AI tools are then used to generate alternative ideas, variations, and more detailed iterations of existing concepts. Finally, all results are reviewed, refined, and improved through manual quality control processes. For example, some environment designs begin with compositions and layouts created by the team. AI tools may then be used to assist with additional detailing, after which the final adjustments and refinements are completed manually. Our goal is to use AI as a tool that supports the creative process while ensuring that all creative decisions, project direction, and final quality control remain under human supervision.
AI was used for some translations, music, and visual assets. The game does not create AI-generated content during gameplay, and AI was not used to write the game’s code.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create and refine portions of the game’s pre-generated visual artwork, including character and enemy art, environments, UI elements, icons, effects, and cutscene imagery. Generative AI was also used for sound effects and as an assistant during programming and development. All generated material was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
