Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Several drawings of inventory items are provided by AI.
AI-assisted content was used during development and was manually reviewed and curated by the development team.
AI was used to assist with complex coding elements and to process a few specific 3D models for the game.
Please note: DreamForge uses generative AI to create characters, environments, and storylines for all player-created games. We take reasonable precautions to reduce offensive and inaccurate content; however, we do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness of any generated content. You may not use DreamForge to create, reproduce, or distribute content that infringes on third-party copyrights or other intellectual property rights. AI tools were used during development for coding assistance (Kiro AI). Store artwork and marketing images were created using Leonardo.ai. Achievement icons were created using PixelLab. No AI content is generated during gameplay - all in-game assets are static and pre-made.
The development of The Utopian Project makes limited use of AI-assisted tools during early production, primarily for concept exploration and background asset iteration. All final content is curated, reviewed, and integrated by the development team.
I used AI for spelling, organizing the story and my thoughts as well as helping fix errors in my code and to figure out how to do stuff I didn't know as well as some of the store descriptions as I am not the best at spelling.
AI tools were used during development as creative audio and some textures. All content was curated, edited and finalized by the developer.
Generative AI tools were used exclusively in the creation of certain store page visual assets (such as promotional images and graphical materials). All gameplay elements, in-game content, mechanics, design, and implementation were created and finalized by the developer. No generative AI was used in the development of the game itself. Generative AI was used solely as a visual asset creation tool for marketing materials displayed on the store page.
This game uses AI-generated content as follows: Visual Assets: Images were generated using KlingAI, with some additionally edited by hand. Scenario: Original work by the developer (human-made) Music: Original compositions by the developer (human-made) Sound Effects: Royalty-free materials (not AI-generated) AI was used as a creative tool for visual production only.
Generative AI tools were utilized during the development process to create base assets for certain environmental textures, prop designs, and auxiliary texts. All AI-assisted contents have been manually refined and edited by the developer to fit the game's unique atmosphere and artistic vision.
1. Asset Creation: Generative AI was used to create base images for some backgrounds and non-character card illustrations (such as items or objects). All these assets have been manually edited and processed by the developer to fit the game's art style and ensure they are used appropriately. 2. Translation: AI is used, as the translation is primarily based on machine translation. 3. Real-time Generation: The game features an optional AI text generation system for exploration flavor text. This function is only activated if the player provides their own API endpoint. The generated text is based on in-game variables (player skills, partners, and floor names) and does not affect the core story or progression. It is a purely cosmetic addition for enhanced immersion.
All illustrations in the game are 100% AI-generated. All assets are pre-rendered and fixed, meaning no illustrations or scenarios are generated by AI in real-time during gameplay.
Generative artificial intelligence was utilized to enhance specific loading screen images and to aid in text translation for localization purposes.
Support with build, code refactoring etc.
AI Usage in Visual Assets and Audio All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure quality and coherence.
AI Content Disclosure Some visual assets in this game were generated using AI tools and then curated, edited, and integrated by the developer. All characters, locations, and artwork are original and fictional.
Some images and videos contain AI-generated content.
There are some AI-generated assets used in the game.
Some artwork assets were created/edited using AI tools.
We use AI in early conceptual design, to figure out an appropriate background art. We then go through several iterations manually with artist modifications, to produce a good, highly polished background that gels well with our characters, story and intended art style. Our characters are hand drawn by humans. Our objects are hand drawn by humans. All user interface (UI) elements are hand drawn by humans. All animations are hand drawn and meticulously rigged (also by humans) using bone animation.
AI is used as an assistant for coding, writing, and translation. All AI‑generated materials are manually reviewed, and most are manually edited before inclusion in the game.
For this project, AI tools were used in art direction and soundtrack production. As an independent team, this has allowed us to achieve a visual and sonic scale that would otherwise be impossible. However, every asset has been manually supervised, edited, and curated to ensure the author's artistic vision and narrative remain intact. We believe in AI as a tool that amplifies the potential of independent creators.

We used AI to help with the translation.
This game uses generative AI to create dynamic in-game dialogue (e.g., radio/operator lines) during gameplay. The player does not provide free-form text input; prompts are system-controlled. Outputs are filtered to avoid disallowed content (hate, sexual content, extreme violence, personal data). AI-generated dialogue is thematic and does not imitate real people.
AI was partially used in the creation of some visual assets and background music, with final adjustments and finishing touches completed by our team.
Some visual assets in this game were created with the assistance of Canva AI . AI was only used minimally to transform certain 3D models into stylized 2D artwork, such as phone contact images and small interface visuals.
We use AI tools to assist in development strictly for: 1.Writing boilerplate code and handling repetitive tasks. 2.Adjusting and refining our original texture assets. 3.Polishing the script and text. All content is manually reviewed and finalized by the team.
The 3D models of some minions and items in the game were created using AI-generated technology.
Generative AI was used during the development process to assist in the creation of game code and scripting. Additionally, AI tools were used to draft narrative text and dialogue, and generate 2D assets and UI elements. These were then subsequently edited and refined by humans to ensure quality and coherence. No AI is used to live-generate content during gameplay; all assets are pre-rendered and static.
Musical support. Dialogues.

AI was used to enhance some of the images and texts in the game.
AI tools were used during development for certain visual cutscenes. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. No AI systems are used during gameplay.
Since this game is older than “Reflection Of Sin”, I was inexperienced when it came to finding good ambient music. For this reason, I used AI to create ambient music in only a few levels.
Artificial intelligence was used to create some interface icons, all voice acting (English and Russian), as well as for text translation. All other content was created manually.
"Generative AI was used solely for the creation of marketing and promotional materials, such as storefront banners and promotional posters. All in-game assets—including 3D models, textures, environments, and animations—have been manually hand-crafted by the developer without the use of AI to ensure artistic integrity and the highest quality for the gameplay experience."
As a solo developer, I use AI tools as creative assistants. This allows me to include full voice acting and detailed environments that would otherwise be impossible for a single person. This is not mindless generation – every asset has been carefully curated, manually edited, and implemented to serve the game's story and atmosphere.
Store Page Capsule Images are highlighted using Artificial Intelligence.
Some visual assets and promotional images used in Before The Haunting are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. All AI-generated content is created during development and is not generated dynamically during gameplay. The game does not use AI services or AI-driven content generation in real time.
The art in this demo was either directly created using the visual assets of the Second Edition of the tabletop game "Heroes of Arcania" or inspired by/edited to be a close approximation of the visual assets of said tabletop game. The art from the tabletop game is NOT AI generated art but AI assisted. All of the art started as a drawing or photograph created by the original artist which was then used as a base image that was processed by AI to sharpen the image. This process ensures that NO ONE'S art is stolen. On top of this, every one of the over 750 unique images used for the tabletop game is put through google image search. If any come back with a result other than "No image found", it is replaced to ensure due diligence is done to protect others.
We used AI to generate the main banner for the game.
The AI is used in game to generate some props (small in-game objects models which make environment look more authentic. The AI is NOT USED for any of the major game features, narrative or important visuals

In the early stage of the game, DeepSeek was used to draw the basic template of the game. In the middle stage, Cursor was used to continue writing and optimizing the game code. All the in-game pictures were generated by Wenxin and Qianwen, and remove.bg was used to cut out the images. The in-game background music was created by Suno, and the in-game attack sound effects were recorded from the video music in Wenxin.
