Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
In the development of this game, I used AI as a supportive tool to optimize certain workflows, enhance the creative process, and explore new possibilities. While all of the art, coding, and writing were created by me, AI helped streamline repetitive tasks, refine assets, and provide coding insights. My aim was to use AI as an assistant that added value without overshadowing the personal, hands-on approach that defines this game.
All character images except for the hero classes were created in Daz Studio, and icons were made in Photoshop using Creative Commons assets. Most older backgrounds were later touched up with an AI tool. The story, dialogues, quests, gameplay and balancing were written and crafted by the developer over years of work.
Use of AI for color enhancement, lighting, and character posing, combined with Adobe suite programs for the final touch.
Applied to the various banners for the Steam store.
AI was used for grammar and spell checking, as well as for brainstorming certain problems. A select few generated images were used as a starting point and then further manipulated using image editing software. One example is a generated skull image that was used in the background of some menus. These were heavily altered to have a dithered, pixelated look.
No AI was used for any of the sprites found in the game (e.g., the monsters, menu icons, and so on). These were handmade by the awesome artists behind the Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup tileset.
The vast majority of the artwork in the game was created by our team of artists, hired freelancers or purchased on market places. In some cases, AI was used to generate reference images to assist with the creative process, but all final assets were either fully redrawn or significantly refined by human artists to ensure quality and originality.
100% of the in-game art was made by artists, including marketing material. However, some of the in-game text was created with the assistance of AI tools.
Some monster concepts were generated using AI, but all monsters have been manually designed and modified. They are not purely AI-generated assets.
There are also 3 animal attack sounds that are synthesized using AI
AI was used to help create a portion of the art for the game that is difficult and time consuming starting from nothing. This art is of some of the characters and objects in the game that had their rough form generated using google Gemini. All of the AI images generated were modified to match my game's world, and were made to be distinct and original from any other creative works. for example, one of the characters has an image of a beetle shell placed over his face among other artistic design changes to the original AI generated body.
No AI code generation is used in the game, only the enemy images in the game are AI generated, and all other resources are from the official RPGMaker MV. Other than that, all other content is original.

AI drawing generation only generates original parts, and there will be no direct use of AI drawing.
The original ideas and raw materials of some parts of the pixel charater are generated by AI drawing.
If AI drawing is used for the original map in the game, it is only used as original material and creative material.
No generative AI is used live by players.
Artificial intelligence is used in Akumon Summoner as a support tool for development. It is involved in the following areas:
Translations: AI was used to produce an early version of the in-game text translations. These translations are provisional and are subject to manual revisions.
Visuals: AI tools were employed to create temporary visuals during the early stages of development. These visuals were used to test and adjust the game's artistic direction. Some of these temporary visuals may still be present during early access.
Some development tools using AI were used to assist with scripting, visual assets, and translation support. All content was finalized and curated by the developer before inclusion in the game.
Part of art workflow, use as stock images to draw over and photo bash.
Use ChatGPT to elaborate idea into description, general programming helper, proof-reader and translator.
Only localizations other than English or German (in-game and store page) were created with AI, nothing else. Any feedback or corrections to these localizations are very much welcome.
Declaration of AI-Generated Content for Steam Review
Dear Steam Review Team,
I would like to clarify the use of AI-generated content in my game, Espectro: A Batalha da Mente. Some assets, including characters, images, and audio, were created using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Bing Image Creator. However, all content is 100% original, based on my own story and characters, which I have been developing for over 10 years.
I confirm that:
All characters, storylines, and concepts belong to me. AI was only used as a tool to assist in visual and textual representation.
The AI-generated assets do not infringe on any existing copyrights or intellectual property, as they were not based on any pre-existing works from other companies or creators.
The AI tools used (ChatGPT and Bing) allow commercial use, and their generated content does not violate any rights.
No real-time AI generation occurs within the game; all content was pre-rendered before submission.
I assure you that my game complies with Steam’s content policies, and I am happy to provide any additional information if necessary.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,

Some images and backgrounds in the game are AI-assisted assets that have been carefully edited and refined by me. The artwork is a blend of self-designed visuals and AI-generated elements, with adjustments made to harmonize color patterns.
"Artificial intelligence was used as a creative tool in various stages of the game's visual and audio development. For visual design, AI-generated images served as the foundation for compositions edited in GIMP, where they were cropped, adjusted, and combined with other elements to create unique landscapes and promotional backgrounds. Additionally, AI was also employed in voiceover creation, providing stylized and tailored voices for key narrative moments."
