Public Steam disclosure research25,380 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The core code and system design of the game were primarily developed with the assistance of Generative AI.
The development approach adopts a "human-AI collaboration" development model:
- Design & Planning**: Game concepts, mechanics, and feature requirements proposed by human developers
- Code Implementation**: C# code and Unity scripts generated by AI assistant (based on large language models)
- Testing & Refinement**: Game testing conducted by human developers, with AI iterating based on feedback
- Creative Decisions**: All core gameplay, numerical balance, and design direction determined by human developers
This game used generative AI tools during development to assist with the creation of some visual and text assets. All content was reviewed and finalized by the developer, and no AI is used during gameplay.
AI coding assistants were used during development. Shipped art and UI sound effects are licensed catalog assets (Game-Icons.net, Lucide, Kenney), not generative image or audio output. All assistant-produced code was reviewed and edited by the developer.
Some store page visual assets, including the title logo and certain promotional images, were created using generative AI tools and later refined manually.
The application itself does not use generative AI at runtime.
For the prototype I've generated story-pixel art. It will be changed for professional graphics designer in the final game version. I'm solo dev, at this stage I can't afford to hire full-time artist. The rest of the game graphics is either BOUGHT or pixel-drawn by myself. Hope you understand. Thanks.
Some assets in this game were created with the assistance of AI-generated tools, including in-game building artwork, resource icons, and promotional video materials. All AI-generated content was reviewed, curated, and edited by the developer to fit the game's visual style.
The application uses local Large Language Models (LLM) to generate conversational text and Text-to-Speech (TTS) engines to generate voice in real-time. All AI processing happens locally on the user's hardware.
AI is used in order to create a better background and focus on the core parts of the game, we use AI to help create some background art and minor NPCs in the story.
After the AI generates these images, our artists still need to refine them to ensure that the style of the background and minor NPCs matches the environment, UI, and main characters drawn by our talented artists.
Throughout the development of my game, I have (ironically) leveraged AI-based tools to assist myself with the code and made visual placeholders. The game was translated by AI. Many parts of the code were written by an AI and some problems were debugged with it's help.
Thank You for your understanding :D
AI music was used, but covers are being sought after. Please contact the support email if you would like to be fully paid for covers of any of the musical elements of the game. The music was intended as placeholders for actual artists. Contact support@empire-enterprises.info for more information or to offer audio services.
Hello guys I am updating the storepage and letting you know I used AI to help me with the STOREPAGE capsules... as well as use it as research to improve m coding skills!
This is a game that you can make games in it by describing the tags, we are using AI to achieve such gameplay!
Some chat is also generated using LLM!
Part of the art & promotional assets are generated by AI model.
The game utilized AI for some creative brainstorming during the concept design and demo phases, and AI was also employed for initial creation in certain auxiliary systems such as icons, animations, and special effects.
AI generation is used as a supporting tool for certain 3D assets and game code. AI-generated content is subsequently thoroughly refined by hand before being included in the game.
AI-assisted tools were used for one in-game hand sprite; the rest of the in-game art is hand-drawn. AI-assisted tools were also used for some store/promotional artwork, some music and sound effects, localization assistance, and coding assistance. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated manually by the developer.
AI tools were used to assist with coding during the development process.
Additionally, generative AI was used to create some of the artwork and assets displayed on the store page and in marketing materials.
AI was only used to assist in coding. Every idea and implementation is made by me. Currently, all store assets are AI generated images, but are subject and likely to change.
AI is used to create creative elements such as text or visual ideas.
All gameplay systems, rules, and mechanics are handcrafted by the developer.
AI content is moderated and does not generate executable code or copyrighted material.
This game uses generative AI tools during development: as a coding assistant to optimize workflow, for some visual assets, for writing and editing in-game text, and for localization. I know AI-assisted development isn't for everyone, and that's fair.
