Public Steam disclosure research25,380 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game includes limited content generated using artificial intelligence.
Only certain image assets (such as logos and interface elements) and some text translations were created with AI tools.
The entire game design, structure, and all 3D models were fully created by human.
No AI-generated content includes real people or synthetic voices. All AI-generated elements have been reviewed and integrated in an ethical and transparent manner.
Some visual assets such as enemy designs and background art were created using AI-generated content, and all sound effects were sourced from royalty-free libraries such as Freesound.org. Localization was assisted using machine translation tools, with manual review and adjustments. No AI was used in the game's code or core gameplay design.
This game was made by a solo developer. Some art and music were aided by AI-tools, but all gameplay systems, design and code were authored, reviewed and maintained by the developer. Thanks for your support
AI tools were used only to assist with enhancement of some store page promotional images. The game itself does not use generative AI for gameplay, content creation, or code.
ChatGPT was used only to assist with the translation of originally written Japanese text into English.
All translated text was reviewed and edited by the developer.
Character designs are created manually by artists and writers, but we use AI to speed up the drawing of details. We also use AI to speed up the drawing of backgrounds and planets. AI is not used to generate content directly during the game.
This game does not use AI-generated content within gameplay. However, some promotional images on the store page, such as the hero banner, were created or enhanced using generative AI tools. These visuals are intended to capture the atmosphere of the game. All in-game assets and experiences are handcrafted by the development team.
Use of AI in Figurine Shop Simulator
In Figurine Shop Simulator, we have used generative AI tools during development only — not during live gameplay.
✅ Code Assistance
A portion of our code was written with the help of GitHub Copilot, an AI-assisted coding tool. All code generated by Copilot has been reviewed and verified by our development team to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with all standards.
🖼️ Visual Assets
Some non-essential visual elements in the game — such as textures for board game boxes and a few icons — were generated using AI image tools (like ChatGPT’s image generation features). These assets are static and do not change dynamically during gameplay.
🎨 In-Game Posters & Decoration
In a few rare cases, AI-generated visuals were used to create in-game posters or decorative textures. These elements are purely aesthetic and contain no interactive or user-generated content.
🔒 No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
The game does not generate text, visuals, audio, or any other content dynamically through AI while it is running. All AI-generated assets were curated and implemented manually during the development phase.
This game used AI tools to draft concept versions of character and background art.
All final assets were carefully created and refined by our in-house artists, using those drafts only as references.
In addition, no generative AI was used for the character creatives in the Aogiri High School collaboration.
In the game design process, we used advanced AI tools to generate some images as creative references and inspiration sources, and based on this, we carried out artistic processing. If you have any suggestions for the artistic expression of the game, please feel free to communicate with us through the community at any time.
The game may include AI-generated background music. This decision is currently under consideration and will be clearly communicated in the final release.
Some visual assets used in the game and on this store page were created with the assistance of AI tools. These include background illustrations and certain icons. All gameplay design, logic, and writing were created manually.
Background images were initially generated, and the hand tuned, edited, massaged and worked to fit the aesthetic and feel of the game, blending it into a cohesive game world.
We sometimes use AI to kickstart ideas or test directions, but everything in Spell Beat is shaped, reworked, and hand-polished by real humans until it feels juicy. AI experiments mainly help us figure out what NOT to make. The final experience is crafted by actual people who care way too much about way too many details.
GenAI technology (DALL-E 3, OpenAI) was used to facilitate the production of the artwork used for effect cards and a couple of images found in the Game Rules and Lore sections. Eventually this artwork will be replaced with 100% hand-crafted imagery.
A few placeholder graphics make use of a generated picture, that was then manually adjusted in photoshop and drawn upon to create a different artwork. These are planned to be replaced.
A small number of textures and descriptive texts were based on AI-generated content and then appropriately refined by hand to produce the final assets.
