Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Note: Card illustrations in this game were created using AI algorithms.
AI was used for some art in the game as a proof of concept. These elements will be updated in the future.
The game uses AI-generated images for some of the in-game design features.
The characters, items, equipment, and skill assets in the game are all generated by AI.
Basically, all hand-drawn graphics are used, but AI is used to depict some natural backgrounds such as plants and rocks.
The game was created by two brothers, and one of them is 2D artist, who uses both manual drawing and AI assistance. With just manual drawing, it would never be possible to create this amount of art with this team. And we have no budget to hire additional artists. Similar situation with localization.
AI is used in this game in the following ways: - code generation and code error checking via LLMs - AI is used to create reference images. - The "generative fill" feature in Photoshop is used occasionally to create in detail on the stage artwork. - AI generated images may be woven into certain stages.
ChatGPT was used to generate the item icons seen on the shop screen.
We have used some AI image for faster demo-release and it will be used for a while, yet going to be replaced. We will not use any AI image for full-release.
Art is AI generated
Generated AI used for title image and store image
Art created with Midjourney and Suno.
Some of the images on our Storepage are AI generated and then manually reworked (namely the rats athletes). We might also use some AI generated images as the basis for some of the game art, in which case they will be hand-modified before inclusion, alongside hand-drawn art.
Some of the in-game art is generated by AI
Generated AI is used for background images. Generative AI is used for some expressions in scenarios.
Some image assets are created with the assistance of AI.
Imagery for some of the in-game cards.
Only some 2D design
Use AI assistance to generate some of the character images and UI icons.
Characters, backgrounds and CG scenes were generated with IA and then fixed/post-edited/cleaned extensively in various software image edition programs
Game Icon, Logo and Library Assets Background Image
The background images and Bgms in this game generated by AI
The main map of the story mode and one monster card were created using AI-assisted drawing combined with manual adjustments by artists to ensure the final artwork aligns better with the intended visual effect.
Roll the Die is an AI Midjourney that generates and uses board/story background images, character map token images.
The most of illustrations were generated by AI. (text prompt only)
Pre-rendered game assets.
UI Elements
Generative AI tools were used during the development of this game to assist in the creation of various pre-generated content, including certain visual assets, text, localization, audio, UI elements, promotional materials, and development support. All content ultimately released or included in the game has been manually reviewed, edited, and approved to ensure it meets the game’s quality standards.
Manipulus features some pre-rendered AI-generated images created using Adobe Firefly, which Adobe states is trained exclusively on content from Adobe Stock and other licensed sources.
We use additional AI for the game only to enhance the players' experiences. We applied them in: 1. Image rendering DAL-E using chatGPT 4.0 for some UI and Background Images (40%) 2. SFX for the game using AI generative around 30% of the game sound
Images of the ducks are inspired by artificial intelligence and heavily edited by our artists
This game uses AI generated art images
TechnoSorcery used AI tooling to assist in the creation of its Textures. These include User Interface widgets (such as buttons and panels), Backgrounds, and Characters.
We use generative-AI for the digital display of the final boss. This is used as a commentrary on AI in the modern world.
AI used for a number of symbols base before treatment.
Using AI tools for language translation
Generative AI was used during development to assist in creating selected pre-rendered card assets. Each AI-assisted asset was carefully reviewed, edited, retouched, and manually polished before being included in the game. No content is generated by AI while the game is running.
Some character and background scene content is generated through AI; background music for the game is also generated through AI.
Our game incorporates artificial intelligence as a foundational tool for generating textures, creating illustrations, and designing specific interface elements. The AI-generated content serves as a base, which is then modified, retouched, or redrawn to ensure a polished and cohesive visual experience. All content has been pre-generated for greater control over quality, with no live AI generation during gameplay. This approach allows for a distinctive visual style while maintaining high standards of quality and immersion, contributing to a dynamic and engaging game environment.
Some of card image has generated by AI, then it's carefully selected and modified by the Daiyu's humor sense.
No AI is used to generate content live in-game. AI was used for the pixel art edits seen on cards and event boxes.
Background Image
All card images, videos, voices and songs are AI generated.
Many of the framed images on the cards and cutscenes were created with the assistance of AI.
Used in some of the game's logos and illustrations.
Generative AI is used for some of the card artwork in our game. And we use pre-coded, calculative AI for our AI opponent in some aspects of gameplay.
In our game development process, we have adopted AI technology to generate art content, mainly for the character portraits of esports players and illustrations in game events. We hope to provide players with richer and more diverse character portraits, but considering the economic, manpower, and time aspects, we find it difficult to afford a large amount of hand-drawn content. We have tried to separate parts such as the mouth, face, and nose, and then assemble them into 3D characters, but the effect was not satisfactory. Therefore, we decided to try a new method: using AI to generate these contents. We used some of the content we had created before to train the AI model, allowing it to learn and understand the art style and requirements we want. Now, all the AI-generated character portraits and illustrations in the game are made by our trained model, and after completion, we also manually correct them. We deeply understand that AI cannot replace the creativity and uniqueness of real artists. For this, we feel very sorry, but we also promise you that “Esports Godfather” is not a work without sincerity. We have spent a tremendous amount of time polishing innovative gameplay and various experience content. In these four and a half years, we have been committed to completing a work that satisfies everyone. We hope you can understand our decision and continue to support our game. We will continue to work hard to provide you with a better gaming experience.
I only used AI to produce a logo avatar, without any infringement, and only used it on the library logo and client icon.
Some of the background images you can unlock through achievements are AI-generated.
This game use AI to create card image. All cards generate by Midjourney and can use commercially by Midjourney's policy.
