Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some of the Paintings in the buildings were A.I. Generated.
The game uses Unity's NevMeshAgent to automatically track enemies and avoid obstacles. The game's logos were created with GPT AI.
Certain visual UI components were initially generated as primitive draft concepts using AI-assisted tools and were subsequently heavily edited, reworked, and finalized by a sole human designer. AI was not used in the development of any gameplay mechanics, systems, logic, or non-UI content. All such elements were entirely designed and implemented by a sole human developer.
We use AI to generate some of the descriptive images.
Evocative images for the 'DungeonPedia' were created using Stable Diffusion 1.0, capturing the essence of ancient Sumeria, Greek civilization, and the atmosphere of Crusader Jerusalem. These were then meticulously enhanced in Photoshop, resulting in a distinctive hand-painted style for each element.
Only the game title image is generated with AI.
Using AI to generate visual posters and visual elements used for marketing purposes
Artificial Intelligence was used to create the content of the game page in the store, and specifically to create images and logos of the library
We use generative AI in our adaptive learning algorithm to generate curriculum-focused Math content for the players so that their educational content in the game is always appropriate.
Dear players, Some of the in-game cutscene videos, opening cinematics, fews textures, and voice-overs were created with the assistance of AI.
Artificial intelligence has been utilized in preparing store assets
Some background texture resources contain AI-generated images.
AI-generated artwork is used in just one achievement icon and to enhance the store page description images.
Used in some of the game's logos and illustrations.
Art works are made with AI and corrected by hands. and added to the game as static images.
ai generated images for the main menu page and level selection page
The art for the main menu is inspired by art created by AI, and finalized by hand to fit the game.
AI was only used for pre-rendered sci-fi image generation. The game does not use AI.
This game uses AI-generated assets during Early Access only. We used generative AI tools to create placeholder content such as textures, music, sound effects, and artwork, in order to accelerate development and testing during Early Access. None of this content is generated at runtime — it is all pre-generated and static. For the full release, we are fully committed to replacing all AI-generated assets with original, human-created content. Transparency is important to us, and we’re actively working toward removing AI placeholders before the final version.
Some placeholder textures were partially AI generated
Some objects in the game use AI for reference design. Some promotional images for the game are drawn using AI.
Some images were used for loading screens and brief story descriptions. All of these images have been licensed for use.
All voice acting is AI generated. Significant parts of the code were written with the help of AI.
This game uses some Ai generated assets for logos on the Steam Store page. There are also some in-game images and music generated by AI
AI tools were used for some robot voices, images used with one of the puzzles, and some elements in the story video.
Minor AI use for marketing material
Generative AI was strictly only used in the making of the Steam Store page.
AI was used to assist with marketing materials, such as store page text polishing and promotional event images. No AI-generated content is used in gameplay or in-game assets.
AI was used to create marketing materials and for localization.
AI Generated Capsule and Library Images
We have inclusions that contain a small amount of use of AI, described below: 1. The background of the "city wall" after the game login interface is an image generated using AI. 2. The Icon in the game is an image generated by AI. 3. The icons for "Moth Factory" and "Spider Factory" are AI-generated images.
Just the icons and store page art none of the actual game is AI generated in any way or contains any AI within it
Some Icons in the game.
"Mutation" contains a few sporadic elements generated through AI, but all of them have been refined and enhanced by human work to ensure high quality.
Store page appears to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence.
Players will not use AI directly, I only used AI to generate some of the game's illustrations.
Whilst building our game “Realms of Alterra”, we have had the unique opportunity to craft our game world around these agents. Building the game world in tandem with the AI has allowed us to simulate societies. I will now go into more detail about the ingredients that make up the technology we have built. Our characters currently utilize an internal monologue to guide its interactions. This is based on a number of factors such as relationships, feelings, and its observation about the current world. The crucial component that ties it all together is the use of an adaptive long term memory, which allows AIs to recall all interactions its had with different people, as well as significant events that have happened. Relevant memories recalled based on what is happening to the character at the moment. Our system of emotions allows us to determine how a character is feeling at any given time; These are used to then further guide the behavior of our characters, both in speech and decision making. With regards to autonomy, our agents can freely choose what to do in the world. We accomplish this by making the available actions known to each character, and giving them the option to choose their intention, which is then executed on the game engine. In the near future we plan to include task planning and reprioritization, which allows each character to dynamically change its priorities, and thus its behaviors, constantly as the world changes around them. In addition to this, we also plan to improve the memory system to include relationship and associative memories, which allow for more complex reasoning and conditioning behaviors We think that this is the future of RPG gaming. With our technology, we can create a new market of gamer- the social gamer to freely interact in a social simulation sandbox where anything is possible. I can’t be the only one who has wondered what would happen if I just took my pants off in the middle of an important business meeting, how people around me would react, and how my life would change as a result of that interaction. With a social simulation sandbox, these burning questions can be answered!
We utilize AI technology to create fashion picture and store asset images.
I've used AI to help create concept art, help outline some general story and eventually voice acting until I can afford to pay someone to do all of those things.
Artificial Intelligence was used to create the content of the game page in the store, and specifically to create images and logos of the library
No AI live-generation content in runtime. The usage of AI was strictly only in the character voices, and CODECs. The CODEC videos are entirely from in-game assets. We have the licenses necessary to use and distribute the AI content included as part of this game.
Icons are currently purchased from 3rd-party asset providers and may be AI-generated. These icons are labeled with a "Placeholder" tag and are planned to be replaced at a later date by a hired artist.
DALL-E 3 has been used to generate background images and some UI related elements.
I am utilizing AI technology exclusively for generating voice acting for the characters within my game.
Pre-generated AI was used during development to assist with some voice generation, audio effects, localization, and certain internal development tasks such as Blender plugin scripting, naming, brainstorming, and coding assistance. No live-generated AI is used during gameplay. All final content is reviewed and integrated by the developer.
The game's menu screen is AI-Generated, because unfortunately I am not a digital artist. Also, the posters/images used for the game's Steam page are just the same image that is in the Main Menu. And Jesus Christ's mogging images, because they never took any pictures of Jesus mogging anybody :(
I use DeepL for some translations. English, Chinese, German, Polish, Russian, and other translations have been corrected by volunteers.
Dialogues Descriptions Icons
AI is used in the generation of the image asset that is used for game promotion and as the games' main menu, as well as some ingame items and weapons.
AI was used to make some UI elements like spell icons. Some dialogues are voiced by AI.
