Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
All graphics in the game are hand-pixelled. The soundtrack was created with generative AI. Some images for the Steam store and library were expanded using AI to fit the required aspect ratios. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used selectively during development to assist with certain text, data and visual workflows. Baseline Basketball Manager is developer-directed, with its gameplay systems, simulation logic, balancing and final content curated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Some of the artwork that ships with Football Ambition 27 was made using
generative AI tools. That covers the club badges and competition logos in
the default database, the menu and screen backgrounds, the stadium and
facility illustrations, and the library of face parts the game builds
portraits from. The national flags are not among them.
Faces are built while you play. Every player, coach and youth prospect gets
a portrait the moment they exist, including people generated seasons into
your save, assembled by the game from that shipped library of parts. It is
ordinary code doing the assembling, not an AI model, and it can only ever
use art that came with the game.
The game does not connect to any AI service. There is an optional feature,
switched off by default, that lets you connect your own AI chat assistant
to the in game database editor, so it can help with jobs like renaming
clubs or building a scenario. It runs only if you turn it on, and it only
reaches your own files on your own computer.
Some pre-generated content — the fictional league, club and player name pools, portions of descriptive and flavour copy, the arena photograph used on the title and store presentation, and parts of the store description — was created with generative-AI assistance during development, then selected, reviewed and edited by the developer. No content is generated at runtime, and no player data is sent to any AI service.
Studs Up! ships some pre-generated AI content. All of it was reviewed and edited by hand before it went into the game:
- Player portraits and the end-of-season win/loss backdrops: image generation, converted down to the game's limited-palette pixel formats.
- The match music loop and the match sound effects: audio generation, edited and loudness-normalised.
- The announcer voice in the trailer: voice generation.
No AI runs while you play. The game is fully offline and generates nothing at runtime.
This game contains content created with the assistance of AI tools. AI was used during development to assist with programming, visual assets, and other creative elements. All generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the dev.
Roadshift was developed with assistance from generative AI tools (such as Large Language Models) to help write and structure the source code and draft store descriptions, as well as generating in-game images, assets, art, and 3D models. The game does not feature live, runtime generative AI.
Some cosmetic artwork and icons, and the original music soundtrack, were created with generative AI tools during development. These assets are pre-generated. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to an AI service.
We currently use generative AI-assisted tools during development to create some pre-generated visual content.
The capsule artwork on the Steam store page is currently AI-assisted and is intended to be replaced before release. We also use Kimodo as an aid in generating and refining character animations used in the game.
The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services while running.
Player portraits that will ship with the game will be generated in ComfyUI. Claude Code has been used for debugging, testing, and painful algorithm assistance (scheduling).
Transparency is important--I built this game with extensive AI use, from coding to visual assets. If that's not your thing, I respect that. The game is free and I have no intention of adding anything in-game to buy. I just wanted to make something fun and see what I could do. Hopefully, it feels like some effort and creativity went into this and it's not just slop.
Generative AI tools were used to help create some pre-made sound effects and marketing materials, including store-page text and promotional artwork. These are fixed assets prepared during development. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay; its random holes and boundaries are created by procedural game code.
The character portraits, the menu backdrop and the store art were generated with AI image tools in one fixed illustration style, then chosen and checked by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play.
This game contains content created with the assistance of AI tools. AI was used during development to assist with programming, visual assets, and other creative elements. All generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the dev.
Some of the store artwork, the game icon and some sound effects were created with generative AI tools and then edited by hand before release. The simulation, the program code, the 3D models and the text in the game were made without generative AI. Nothing is generated by AI while you play.
Generative AI was used during development to help create some character illustrations, artwork and animations, music and sound effects, drafts of in-game text, localization, and store-page materials. This content is prepared in advance and incorporated into the game or its store page. The game does not generate content using generative AI during gameplay.
The game utilizes AI-generated content (such as concept illustrations, capsule art, and certain user interface asset variations) during the development process to enhance visual presentation.
Some pre-rendered visual and audio assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. All such content was reviewed, edited, and finalized by the developer before shipping. The game does not use AI to generate content during gameplay.
Generative AI was used in a limited and disclosed way while making this game.
Artwork: the logo and wordmark were created with the help of a generative
AI image tool, then edited, recoloured and assembled by hand into the store
and library artwork you see here.
Text: parts of this store page description were drafted with AI assistance
and edited before publication.
Nothing in the game itself is generated by AI. The match engine, the
simulation, the player and club database, the match commentary and every
other piece of in-game text are hand-built and hand-written. The game does
not call any AI service, and no content is generated while you play.
Generative AI tools were used exclusively to create static, pre-generated illustrative images for the application's Tips section and Steam store/marketing assets. These are the only AI-generated materials included with the product or presented to users. NitroCore Synapse does not generate AI content at runtime and does not connect to external AI services.
This game contains content created with the assistance of AI tools. AI was used during development to assist with programming, visual assets, and other creative elements. All generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the dev.
Generative AI was used for some of the artwork and text: the 3D representation
of the motorcycles, the achievement icons, the artwork on this page, and text in
the game and store, including the English version. All of it is pre-rendered -
created during development, not while you play.
No AI runs while the game is running: the race simulation and vehicle physics
are computed on the server, the engine sound is synthesised in the game itself,
and the circuit layouts are based on real geodata from OpenStreetMap
contributors (ODbL).
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with programming, concept development, and the creation or refinement of some visual assets. All AI-assisted content included in the game was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to any external AI service.
Generative AI tools were used extensively during development to assist with original fictional adult character artwork, pool-hall environments, UI decoration, video and animation assets, background music, ambient audio, sound effects, worldbuilding, character concepts, dialogue, gameplay descriptions, localization, and promotional copy. AI tools also assisted with gameplay ideation, balance simulation, programming, debugging, and test design.
All player-facing AI-assisted content was generated before release, then selected, edited, integrated, and reviewed by the developer before being shipped as fixed game assets. The developer remains responsible for the final content.
The game does not use generative AI at runtime, does not generate images, audio, text, or dialogue during play, and does not submit player input, save data, or multiplayer content to any AI service.
All visual artwork used in the game was created directly by the developer.
Generative AI tools were used as part of the production process for certain audio assets and for translation/localization assistance. AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs were reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the final game.
The English translation and some store page materials (text and logo artwork) were created with the help of generative AI tools, then reviewed and edited by the developer The original Spanish game text was written by the developer. No AI is used while you play.
Pixel Golf League includes some graphics and sounds that were generated using AI tools. No AI tools are connected to or being used to generate content during gameplay.
The champion artwork, portraits and various visual assets are generated. The generated visuals are a starting point rather than a settled choice, and if the game's funding allows it I intend to have them redone by an artist.
No content is generated by AI while you play, since the match simulation runs on a hand-written decision engine where each player evaluates their situation against authored rules, rather than on a generative model.
Generative AI was used during development to help create pre-rendered content that ships with the game: in-game text and narrative templates, store page copy, and 2D brand artwork - all reviewed by the developer. The simulation itself (players, teams, seasons, statistics) is produced at runtime by the game's own deterministic statistical engine, not by AI. No AI-generated content is created while you play.
Playtest fighter, promotion, and title imagery created utilizing generative AI. Later builds of the game will replace these assets with artist-created versions.
Generative AI utilizes for troubleshooting when developing.
This game was built with the help of generative AI. All of its code, visuals, and music were created with the help of AI tools during development. Everything you see and hear in the game is pre-made; nothing is generated live while you play.
Some of the game's music and sound effects were created with the help of generative AI tools. Generative AI was also used to assist with in-game text and its translations into other languages. All AI-assisted content was produced during development and reviewed by the team. The game does not generate any content with AI during gameplay.
Shiny Gen ships over thirty original games and scenes. Their art, animation frames, music and sound effects were produced with the same AI generation tools the product offers to players, using the third party services listed in our Live-Generated answer. All of it was directed, reviewed and assembled by us before it shipped, and the game code itself is authored and hand edited by our team. No pre generated content in the shipping build is produced from a player's input, and none of it is generated at runtime from our side.
Shiny Gen is a game creation tool, so live generation is the product rather than a feature of it. When a player asks for something, we call third party AI services to generate game code, images, animation frames, music, sound effects and 3D models from the text they type. Generation always happens at the player's explicit request, never in the background, and always requires a free Shiny Gen account and an internet connection.
Every request goes to an established commercial AI provider: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, Cloudflare Workers AI, Runware, Retro Diffusion, Replicate and ElevenLabs. Each request is governed by that provider's usage policy and runs under the provider's own built-in safety systems at their default settings. We never disable, weaken or opt out of a provider's safety system anywhere in our product. OpenAI image generation runs under OpenAI's default moderation, and Google image generation carries Google's SynthID provenance watermarking.
Guardrails on our side:
- Our Community Rules, which are binding under our Terms of Service and published on our website, set out what may not be generated or shared. They prohibit, among other things, any sexual content involving a minor and sexual imagery of a real person without their consent, and they treat a prompt asking for prohibited content as a breach whether or not the model produces it.
- Generation requires a signed in Shiny Gen account. There is no anonymous generation, so every request is attributable to an account.
- Generation is rate limited per account and per address, and it is metered against a paid credit balance, so volume abuse is bounded rather than free.
- The prompt and the resulting asset are retained against the account that made them, which is what lets us act on a report.
- Anyone can report content to support@shinygen.ai. A person on our team reviews each report and can remove the content and close the account responsible.
- The in app feed cannot receive player made content. It is served from our own catalogue and is enforced in code: the publish endpoint refuses any caller that is not our own account. Nothing a player generates can appear in another player's feed.
- Multiplayer contains no free text channel of any kind. Communication is a closed set of eight fixed emotes, so there is no user to user text surface to moderate.
- Player made games are never separate programs. They run as interpreted scripts inside our own sandbox, which is an allowlist: it has no filesystem, network, process or operating system access, and no reflection or dynamic dispatch. A generated game cannot execute native code, start a process, reach the network or read the player's files.
We do not permit and do not support the generation of Adult Only sexual content, and we will act on reports received through Steam's in game reporting system and at support@shinygen.ai.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of some of the game's pre-generated illustrations and visual assets. No generative AI is used to create content during gameplay.
