Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Artificial Intelligence is part of the lore behind this project, but it leans heavily towards balance between humans and AI. - The friend bots within this app can be disabled and reprogrammed by you! - With each update, the machine will become more user friendly. The goal is to create jobs by allowing anyone to become their employer starting here. Placeholders and maintenance may be generated in some projects for demonstrations and further editing. Every update here is free once you own a copy.
I make games as a solo designer, so a few images have been generated for textures and sprites along with editing to make sure they fit the game. I also use it for programming and writing descriptions. I also use it to change my voice because I'm the only voice actor. I'm too broke to pay a bunch of people so AI isn't taking any jobs, just helping me create content in a realistic timeline.
Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Planet of Lava – Save the Planet
This Game uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance certain in-game features. Specifically:
1. Procedural Content: Some icons and misics may be generated with the assistance of AI to create varied and dynamic game levels.
2. Non-Critical Assets: All core gameplay mechanics, story, and essential level design are created by the developers. AI is only used to assist in generating supplementary content.
3. User Safety: No player personal data is used by the AI. All AI-generated content is internal to the game and does not involve external servers or cloud processing that could access user information.
By playing the Game, you acknowledge that some in-game content may be AI-generated for artistic or procedural purposes.
During the development process, AI-based tools are utilized to assist with the creation of visual content only. In all such cases, these tools serve strictly as a support mechanism, and the final product remains a direct reflection of the developer's original vision, design, and standards.
Some visual assets on the store page and parts of the in-game art were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and then curated, edited, and integrated by the developer (Cag).
Portions of the store page text and the game’s music were created with the assistance of generative AI tools.
AI assistance was used for the visuals and music, while a large amount of hand-drawn modification was done for the artwork. On one hand, this was to enrich the game content, and on the other hand, it was due to limited personal development time and budget.
Artificial intelligence tools were used only for the creation of certain UI panels and vehicle part images.
AI was not used in gameplay logic, game mechanics, code, narrative, or player-facing decision systems.
All AI-generated assets were reviewed and integrated by the development team.
AI tools were used to support parts of the development process, such as initial image, music, and code drafts. Every element was then hand-crafted, adjusted, and tested to fit the game’s vision. As a solo developer, this made it possible to create a broader and more polished experience.
Generative AI was used in the prototyping stage to develop card art concept alternatives and communicate with human artists on our intentions for each finished piece. These images have all been replaced with human-created artwork.
AI is not used to live-generate content or code during gameplay.
We use AI tools to support various parts of our development process:
Coding assistance: AI helps streamline parts of the game development by suggesting or optimizing code.
Concept art: We collaborate with our artists to generate AI-assisted concept art, allowing us to iterate faster during early visual development.
Marketing: Occasionally, we use AI tools in combination with our VFX and music teams to create promotional videos.
Voice acting: We use AI-generated sample lines to guide voice actors during recording sessions and provide reference tone and pacing.
I'm a solo developer making this game entirely on my own with a zero budget. Without AI, I would've gone mad creating such a massive project. It would've taken around 15 years just to reach Early Access.
To be completely transparent: during development, I may use AI tools to assist with content creation, primarily for routine tasks. However, everything is always manually reviewed and refined by me. The workflow is strictly: My work → AI → My work.
I automatically translated the game using AI for support in a total of 26 languages: Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, etc..
Game & the store page in all languages except Korean and English were translated using AI.
Translation errors may exist, so please always let me know on the discord server and help me fix them!
Some of the visuals in this game were created with the help of AI-based tools to speed up the art process and visualize ideas more efficiently.
However, all final designs were edited, refined, and color-corrected by artists to match the game tone and atmosphere.
The goal was never to let AI make the art, but to use it as a creative tool like an extra brush in the process.
AI was used in the coding of this game, the asset generation, brainstorming practical solutions (knowledge about opensource tts options, distribution options), and in helping problem solve most steps in the development, and application process. It allowed one developer to create a high quality, low cost educational product to greatly assist in language learning worldwide.
Umbra Survivors does not use artificial intelligence during runtime.
AI tools were only used as development assistance to help prepare, optimize, or comment on code.
All in-game content (graphics, sounds, text, and code) has been manually reviewed and originates from internal development or properly licensed sources.
The music in the trailer, title screen graphics, game over screen graphics, bouncy ball graphic, and airplane graphic were all generated with AI. Everything else was produced by the people who helped develop this product.
"Some of the game’s pre-rendered assets, including anime-style images, were created using generative AI tools. Additionally, certain dialogues and store page descriptions were assisted by AI. No content is generated live during gameplay; all AI-assisted content is fixed and fully reviewed to ensure it meets appropriate content standards. Players will not encounter dynamic AI-generated content while playing the game."
During development, some visual assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools as part of the content creation process, including certain achievement icons. In all cases, the assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the development team. The final game experience reflects the creative direction and artistic decisions of the developers.
Some artwork was initially created with AI generation tools, but all assets were manually edited, refined, and finalized by me (composition, logo placement, adjustments, and corrections). No unedited AI output is used.
I’m a solo developer, and I use generative AI as a creative tool to help bring the game to life, from text, images, or music to bits of code.
Every piece of AI-generated content is carefully reviewed, edited, and refined by me to fit the game’s vision. This helps me create more content, add variety, and make a better, more immersive experience for players.

AI was used to generate store page visuals, including capsule images, library assets, and the final image used in the game’s trailer. All assets were manually curated and edited to meet quality and thematic consistency. The game itself does not include any AI-generated code or gameplay content.
Select marketing assets underwent AI-assisted pre-generation during the creation process, with all content strictly adhering to the game's authentic representation and containing no misleading depictions or fabricated elements.
AI-generated assets were used as foundation elements for spaceships and some environmental objects, then extensively modified, combined, and refined through manual artwork.
The application was developed using artificial intelligence. However, it does not directly generate content within our application. It was only used to create text, images, and new music.
Used to create additional concept art which inspired our artists
Used to help create an initial draft the narrative of the game.
Used to create various code snippets and check the quality of the games code base.
