Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game makes limited use of generative artificial intelligence during development.
Generative AI was used to help create some game music and sound effects, to generate the store page thumbnail artwork, and as a support tool for brainstorming ideas and coding auto-completion.
All gameplay, design, and final creative decisions were made by the developer.
We use AI during our production process to facilitate quest integration through our in-house tool, HanaCore.
It allows us to synthesize, correct, and integrate quests while fully respecting the existing lore.
We also use AI to assist with code generation, helping us save valuable development time.
In early development of this game placeholder art, some audio and a little in-game text was generated by AI. This content, for the most part, will be removed as we move from Alpha to Beta and into release. However, it is possible that some of this will remain in the game upon release.
Our game does not use generative artificial intelligence to generate content for the game, either pre-rendered or live-generated. However, due to budget constraints, we have utilized AI technology to generate voice lines for some of the NPCs in the game. Additionally, for the intro cutscene, we have incorporated AI-generated images. It's important to note that while AI has been used for specific aspects such as voice lines and cutscene imagery, no AI elements have been integrated into the gameplay mechanics themselves.
Some visual assets, such as store capsule images and in-game card illustrations, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All gameplay and code are original.
This game contains pre-rendered AI generated 3D monster and player models that have been fine tuned and remodeled by hand after the initial form was generated from text.
Note: AI survival or pre-rendered content is included in the game
as follows:
1, In-game character voice-overs
2、Character stand-up drawings (and modified by the artist)
3, Pictures from the game event cards
AI generated images were used for the Cosmic Huntress hero art and her spell icons.
Manual modifications were made to each image to ensure consistency.
I use AI for the character portrait graphics and for artwork images. As a solo developer, AI presents numerous opportunities to develop my project in a cost-effective, swift, and efficient manner. Some components of this game feature a mix of human and AI-generated content; nothing is solely produced by AI. It's important to me to use as little AI as possible, ensuring that 95 percent of my content is generated without AI.
Some tools making use of AI were used in some phases of the production of some of the visual assets, e.g. generative resize when upscaling some images.
The following features were created with the help of AI:
- Text Snippets: Some text snippets were created with the help of AI
- Troubleshooting: AI was also used to help with troubleshooting efforts
Disclaimer:
I'm a solo developer, this is my first project. I have no external funding, but have spent money out of my own pocket to acquire assets created by very talented people.
Additionally, free assets were used that are either in the public domain (CC0), or require attribution (credits provided in game files). AI was used in the creation process of this game that helped me overcome issues and problems that I encountered, as well as providing certain text summaries and general ideas for text displays.
RoadHouse Manager was mostly made by a single human on a quest to make the ultimate roguelite set in a roadhouse! Quitting his job at Activision Blizzard and undertaking this quest took years of 60 hour work weeks equaling many 1000s of hours of labour, lots of brain-effort, tons of money, roadhouse research, and many rare Earth resources; eventually going way over budget, forging this entertainment out of raw willpower melded with passion-sauce. Eventually to complete his universe-given quest, this dev delved into the dark side of forbidden technologies of 2026, including devil-spawned AI-tooling, the vile monster of which was used, to make some ear-stuff and eye-stuff in lieu of hiring other humans that could not be afforded at this time, to fill in content gaps with the best possible tools available at the time of production. Go-go human race, hurray!
The draft of the logo was generated with Dall-E and then edited by me.
I also plan to use PixelLab to help generating some alternating tilesets and nyamon creatures and NPC; also surely edited by me to ensure consistency.
This game uses AI to generate text, game mechanics, images, and sound effects on the fly based on the player's world description. Some in-world interactions are also powered by an LLM in real time.
