Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI tools were used to assist with localization. All translated texts were fully reviewed and edited by humans. No AI was used to create artwork, music, sound effects, or game design.
Lumoryn: Whispering Worlds uses Generative AI only to assist in the creation of Steam achievements and their icon artwork displayed on the Steam store. All gameplay systems, world design, characters, quests, dialogue, mechanics, and in-game content are entirely designed and created by human developers. Generative AI is not used for gameplay logic, narrative design, player interactions, or dynamic in-game content.
AIGen used to generate all of the post images and music seen in the game
For this project, some images in the game were created using artificial intelligence tools. This technology was used in a limited way, only for visual generation, with all other content produced manually.
AI-generated artifacts
Suno was used to generate the music for the trailer.
Some of the girl assets were made or modify by AI.
Some functions of the game‘s source code were implemented using AI tools, such as Cursor AI, to generate code. Multiple languages' localizations also used AI for translation.
The capsule image was created using AI-generated art as a base
During development, the solo dev might use procedural tools or AI to speed up time-consuming tasks — but the final game is still fully shaped by the developer’s own creativity and decisions.
We use AI to generate some of the textures and music for the game.
Some graphical assets in the game were created or modified using artificial intelligence algorithms. This applies only to certain elements of the game visual artwork.
AI was used to help create cutscene background.
Most in-game sprites and item art in this game were generated using DALL·E. As a solo developer, generative AI tools allow me to create a breadth of visual content that would otherwise not have been possible. All assets were carefully selected, curated, and integrated to ensure they align with the game's vision and quality.
AI-generated artifacts
We use Adobe® Photoshop® software and Adobe® Generative AI image-editing software as part of our 2D icon generation pipeline. We use machine translation as the first step of our Localization in order to bring the game to as many players as possible in their native language

Some visual assets were created with generative AI The Music is created with generativ AI
I use AI to generate pre-rendered art and music for the game.
We did try gen-IA to create early place holders of the characters (environments and meals are 100% human made). We realized that it sucks and unsurprizingly it can't compare to what human artists can do. What you currently see in the game has already been cleaned up, but in order to make sure there is no trace of gen-IA left, we are in the process of remaking all the characters from scratch.
Buyer character profile pictures have been created.
Voice overs during game intro sequence. Some card art concepts. Some sound effects.
Some of the promotional images and capsules are made with AI Assistance. This does NOT include screenshots. All screenshots are from the game, and do NOT use AI in any capacity. In-game only a few basic UI icons, as well as some images and textures, are AI-Generated. Most Music and Songs are AI-Generated, this includes the music in the Trailer.
AI helps us in the basis of our design of new graphics and renderings for the different decorative elements at the marketing and in-game level.
Texture Upscaling and Logo Creation
Some image assets in the game of lesser importance (character portraits, item icons) are made using a process that includes AI image generation. This will be replaced with original artwork in the final product.
Background Music (Suno) Voice Over Audio (XTTS) All voice over audio was created with permission from the voice actor. Cosmic Construct has a constructed language (conlang) spoken by the game's characters.
We utilized AI to design the game's logo and assist with the localization of the interface, ensuring a seamless experience for players worldwide.
We used AI to help write some of the code for the game, as well as to help generate some of the story beats and upgrade descriptions
AI support was provided for our game's poster and capsule designs.
Artificial intelligence was used in the creation of some in-game visuals.
For Lets Get Loot, we have used generative AI for some store materials and also for some of the music within the game. Aside from this, the gameplay experience does not include in-game generated assets, functionality, or any other form of content.
I created a logo for the game using ai
Some promotional artwork and character portrait illustrations were created with AI assistance. All gameplay systems and code were written by the developer.
Some elements of the promotional materials were generated with the help of AI.
We used AI to create the capsules for the game's store page. Additionally, the in-game voice-overs were generated using AI, and the images used in the opening animation were created with AI.
We are using AI generated images for our store page materials and some in-game visuals (some icons etc.).
AI tools were used during development to assist in generating early draft concepts for some environmental assets. All final in-game content, visuals, audio, and text were manually created, refined, and validated by the development team. No AI tools are available to players, and no AI generates content during gameplay.
Small number of AI tools was used in development. For help with historical research, translation and upscaling store page art.
This game does not generate or modify content at runtime. A small portion of assets (around 20%) was created with generative AI tools during development. All such assets were manually edited, reviewed, and finalized to ensure originality, quality, and compliance with copyright and safety standards
We used AI for some placeholder art, gradually being replaced by artist's work before release.
