Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Unlockable background images were AI-generated. We created tens of thousands of images, curated the best, and manually refined them with hours of inpainting and editing. AI coding tools assisted development. All gameplay mechanics, 22 language dictionaries, design, and concept are entirely hand-crafted.
Most of the contents of the game are digital board pure hand-drawn, the game in the frame of the painting and store page part of the promotional materials using AI drawings for reference and manual redrawing.
We do not use generative AI for models, textures, animations, audio, etc. All visuals are handmade with love!
To allow quickly updating the game during Early Access, we use a combination of machine translation, human review, and entirely human authored localization. The current state of languages is: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian are mostly human authored; French and Spanish are machine translated with human authored revisions; German is machine translated. Our goal is to increase the amount of human authored localization over time.
Generative AI was used to create six placeholder images and one piece of music used in the game. These assets are temporary and are intended to be replaced with non-AL-created assets.
Localisation Text for certain language options in the game were generated using the shear power of AI models to produce, no doubt, horrible/humourous/confusing results.
This is Temporary!, with updates coming in the future, If anyone wishes to provide translations/corrections, please do get in contact :)
Some graphic materials are processed by the generated material, based on its own trained AI model. However, none of the material is completely generated by AI. All the work on creating materials is done manually using graphic editors.
The audio for the voicelines for CARA (suit voice) and the ship announcer was generated by text to speech AI and then post-processed manually through an effect chain to sound immersive.
As a solo dev, I use custom-trained AI tools for a small portion of the visuals/audio, based on assets I own or created. The vast majority of my development effort goes into the realistic rocket simulation and engineering systems.
My game uses AI quite frequently. Every logo you see is a product of the collaboration between a human and an AI. Every song you hear is a product of human-AI collaboration. Every player report card uses AI generated text modularly pieced together from smaller chunks.
The match commentator is using an AI generated voice.
This is a modern game that uses modern technology to its full potential.
Some visual assets, such as trading card artwork, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and then reviewed and finalized by the developer. The AI-generated images were used as a base for the final artwork included in the game’s Steam trading cards.
The game and Steam store page both use translations generated by Ai. All other content and the complete devlopment process do not feature any Ai content or assistance.
Photo of the dog for my pictures on the steam page is generated by AI. Game itself does not include any AI images or content except the dog image on the title.
Generative AI has been critical for the development of this game and is infact a part of it's lore as well. Generative AI assisted us in producing pre-renders for our backgrounds and complimenting the high quality of our human made animations, the backgrounds of this game wouldn't have looked as beautiful as it does nor even possible had BOS released before generative AI existed.
In simple: The game uses AI generated images for the backgrounds of different regions.
