This game is a solo-developed project. Generative AI tools were used as part of the production workflow, including assistance with code and base visual assets. No generative AI output is used as a final in-game asset – all assets were manually edited and finalized by the developer. All gameplay design, creative direction, balancing, and content decisions were made by the developer.
The background music was created with Suno and the intro narration with ElevenLabs. This content was generated during development, reviewed by the developer, and baked into the build. All sound effects are synthesized in code at runtime and all art is generated procedurally in code — neither is AI.
A pre-rendered cinematic intro sequence was created with the assistance of AI-based video generation tools. Some visual assets were generated or refined using AI image generation.
AI tools were used to assist with localization for some of the supported languages in Guncrypt. Many translations were reviewed by native speakers at Halfbrick, although not every supported language received a full review.
If you notice anything that seems incorrect in your language, please let us know. We’d appreciate your help improving it.
Thousand Ward uses generative AI as part of the development pipeline to help create and refine some visual assets, including promotional artwork, background illustrations, event imagery, and supporting art concepts. Gameplay systems, balance, progression, and player-facing game design are authored and reviewed by the development team.
In order to realize my childhood dream of building this game, I have leveraged AI in every step of the development process, augmenting my capabilities as an engineer and visual designer by having AI generate some of the sprites, music, sound effects, voices, and code used to build this game.
I pledge that if Card Knight: Astral Arcana is successful, the sequel title will be brought to life by a team of human artists, composers, and programmers.
Almost the entire game uses traditional assets made by people. Artificial intelligence was only used as an aid to create some music, sound effects, images, and translations.
The in-game music was created through a collaboration between human composition and AI-assisted tools.
Some promotional images displayed on the Steam Store page were also created using AI-assisted tools.
Some non-interactive assets in Harvest Havoc were produced with AI-assisted tools:
- Background music tracks were generated via AI music synthesis models, then curated and mixed by the developer.
- Sound effects were produced with AI-assisted audio generation tools.
- English and Japanese in-game text was drafted with AI translation assistance and then reviewed by the developer.
All gameplay code, level design, sprite art, and character animations were created by the developer without AI generation. No AI content is generated at runtime.
Some visual assets used in the game and on the Steam store page were created with the assistance of generative AI and have been further refined and integrated into the game by the developer. No live-generated AI content is used during gameplay.
Generative AI was used during parts of the production process for the game’s graphics, music, and narrative content.
AI-generated outputs were edited, revised, and restructured by the developer and were not used in the game without modification.
The final gameplay experience, narrative structure, character portrayal, and presentation were designed, curated, and supervised by the developer.
During development, generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation of certain visual assets. All AI-generated content has been reviewed and curated by the development team.
Most art has been hand-crafted but some art has been assisted by generative AI. Art assisted by generative AI includes UI Icons, monsters, items and marketing promotional art. All ingame art has been finalized by hand.
AI-assisted tools were only used during the creation of certain visual assets. These assets were reviewed, edited, modified, and integrated by the developer. The game's story, characters, world, gameplay design, dialogue, and creative direction were entirely created by the developer.
AI tools were used as supportive tools during the development process, including assistance with code, visual assets, and music. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by our development team before being included in the game.
"Generative AI tools were utilized during the pre-production and development phases to assist in creating certain 2D visual assets and concept art. These assets were pre-generated, reviewed, and integrated into the game files prior to launch. No AI content is generated dynamically or in real-time by the game software itself. All final assets have been checked to ensure they adhere to proper copyright regulations."
Most of the images used in the narrative mode scenes were initially generated using generative AI and subsequently refined through manual editing. Generative AI was also employed to assist with the translation of the narrative text.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
PyxelAid includes optional AI-assisted image processing filters that users can apply to their own imported images. These filters may enhance, clean, upscale, simplify, recolor, or restore pixel-art images based on the user's input. The app does not generate text, code, dialogue, or autonomous content during use. Users control the input images and decide whether to save or share the resulting outputs.
This game uses generative AI during development to assist in creating and refining certain content, including artwork, text, dialogue, and other game assets. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, edited, and approved by the development team before being included in the game. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Some of this game's Steam store and marketing art was created using AI image-generation tools. Specifically, the store capsule images (header, main, small, and vertical capsules), the library artwork (library capsule and hero image), and the logo background were AI-generated.
AI was used only for this promotional store art. All in-game content — pixel-art sprites, backgrounds, UI, animations, and effects — is made from licensed, human-authored pixel-art assets and contains no AI-generated content. The game's audio and gameplay contain no AI-generated content.
The visual art in Cat 3. The cat sprites, enemies, icons, relic, UI art, and the store/marketing images were created with the help of generative AI tools. I'm a solo developer and a programmer at heart: I can't draw, so I set up a local pixel-art generation pipeline to make the game's artwork. No AI-generated content is produced during gameplay.
This game was made with the help of AI. The music was generated using Suno, and AI tools assisted with other content and store materials, all reviewed and curated by the developer.
Pre-generated content (created during development, not at runtime):
- In-game parody movie cover art: generated with AI tools and manually reviewed by the team to ensure all covers are original parodies and do not reproduce trademarked logos, brands, or copyrighted characters.
- In-game parody movie titles and descriptions: drafted with AI assistance and manually edited by the team.
- In-game UI and text translations into the 8 supported languages: produced with AI assistance and reviewed by the team.
No live generative AI is used at runtime. All AI-assisted content is baked into the game build.
Core game assets (code, gameplay design, UI art, character and shop sprites, music and sound effects) were NOT generated with AI.
Feierabend Poker is developed by a solo creator with the help of AI tools. The story and character dialogue are written with AI assistance and then reviewed and edited by the developer. The game's visuals are 2D vector graphics drawn directly in code rather than produced by image generators, and all sound is created procedurally in code. No AI generates content live while you play.
This game was developed with the assistance of generative AI. Generative AI was used to help create portions of the game's source code and some game assets (including certain artwork and prototype assets). All AI-generated content has been reviewed, modified, or integrated by the developer before being included in the game.
Some portions of the game's source code were developed with the assistance of generative AI tools. All gameplay design, story, puzzles, dialogue, creative direction, and final implementation decisions were created, reviewed, and controlled by the developer.
Some promotional artwork and marketing materials may also have been created with the assistance of generative AI tools and subsequently reviewed and edited by the developer.
No generative AI is used during gameplay, and no content is generated dynamically for players.
Some of this game's code and the tools that procedurally generate its visual assets were created with the assistance of an AI development assistant. All output was reviewed, edited, and tested by the developer. The game contains no AI-generated artwork from image-generation models, and no AI runs during gameplay.
I have utilized AI tools to assist in the creation of some store page assets and in-game textures. These AI-generated elements were used as a foundational base, which were then heavily edited, polished, and manually integrated by me to ensure they align with the game's unique art style and technical requirements. No AI tools were used to generate the core gameplay logic or narrative content; their usage was strictly limited to the visual asset production pipeline.
The game was designed, assembled, reworked, tested, and integrated by the developer, with a manually defined artistic direction and gameplay experience.
Generative AI tools were used as creative assistance for certain visual, audio, cinematic, code-related, and promotional content.
This content was then selected, edited, adapted, and adjusted to match the game’s artistic identity, gameplay, and final experience.
The game was vibe coded. Many of the current assets were generated by various GenAI models, some of which will be staying but some of which are just placeholders for the time being. Much manual work still goes into making everything look good and come together even when using GenAI.
Because I am a dev team of 1, yes, I have used AI specifically for working on multiplayer code - that's an area of coding I'm just not up to speed on. The in-game code is all me though. As for art, having 10 years experience in game-dev GFX, that's me - 99% of it. I'm highly proficient in using the tools of the trade )Pshop, Blender, 3d MAx etc), but yes, I have used some highly modified bits and pieces for the landing screen and outros, but everything in-game (100%) is me. The SFX, music and voice acting, me too... for my sins. I'm no Mozart or Lawrence Olivier, but, yakknow... it's passable :)
In this game, questions and answers (yes/no) are sent to Amazon Bedrock to generate in-game text. Personal information like your name is not sent. Progress data is saved on your device.
