Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Some character and weapon images are created using AI.
Some temporary sound files and graphic resources during development
In Wizard Cats, AI is used to write the code that powers spells created from runes. No art is generated using AI - all art is hand-drawn by our talented team of artists.
Some 2d content, some texts and simple sounds was made with AI help, but then than was careful polishing. Thanks all, that you can help to make all it real!
The game and steam page contain images of units, buildings and characters created by the AI.
AI is used to generate NPC dialogue and behavior.
Yes, we used AI tools in a limited capacity during the development of our game. Specifically, AI was utilized for certain aspects of the game's text, such as crafting the Steam page description, and for some pieces of code. However, the core development, design, and creative processes were driven by our team(me). The use of AI was supplementary, aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency, rather than shaping the core elements of the game.
AI was used for some art in the game as a proof of concept. These elements will be updated in the future.
Generative AI was used in some in-game images, specifically for loot items, postcards, and idle manager portraits.
I enjoy crafting dozens of background images in the game, from personal travel photos of varied scenery, drawings, and patiently process and mash them using AI and non AI tools. The art for the board games themselves (pawns, tiles) is abstract and simply done with gimp (traditional 2D image editor)
A dish image and description will be generated based on the ingredients you cut with the sword.
Players can talk to Gaming Copilot by using voice, and Gaming Copilot generates responses using a large language model.

We used AI for a few textures and voice acting, but we’re planning to replace them if the game does well after the full release
The game was created by two brothers, and one of them is 2D artist, who uses both manual drawing and AI assistance. With just manual drawing, it would never be possible to create this amount of art with this team. And we have no budget to hire additional artists. Similar situation with localization.
Beneath The Six features an AI narrator who serves as a dungeon master to guide you and comment on your experiences in the daily generated content. We commissioned actor Tom Canton (The Witcher TV series) to record a library of dialogue. This was then used by ElevenLabs to train the AI voice. Both Magicave and ElevenLabs have a commitment to ensuring the rights of voice actors are protected. Magicave has assigned ownership of the AI voice to Tom Canton, licensing it from him for use in the game, while allowing him the freedom to use his AI voice in other media – whether games, voiceovers, animations, audiobooks or movies (https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/beneath-the-six-turn-based-roguelike). Each day we generate new daily content for the dungeon and arena. As part of this we pass the generation data to an LLM to create dialogue for the AI narrator so they can comment on the content included for that day. Some of the daily generated content for the arena and dungeon modes use an LLM to create names for two other purposes. One is for creating the name of any Champion enemies which appear in the dungeon. The other is for creating a name for the daily arena run.
Some video content generated using AI has been partially used in the game.
Trailer may contain generated elements.
This game's development leveraged Gen-AI to sample in-game sprites for the player and enemy ships. These same sprites have been sent over to paid artists to create their own renditions of these sprites. All other assets such as music, sound effects, and steam page capsules were created by paid artists.
The music for the radio stations was mostly generated by Suno.
Some visual assets were created using generative AI tools.
Some image assets are created with the assistance of AI.
The game uses a large language model (LLM) in certain parts to reason about NPC behavior and provide strategic guidance.
