Public Steam disclosure research 25,508 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We've used AI to generate few images of catgirls, which we've used for ingame billboards
AI has been used in a limited way* for the following aspects: Text Localization, Speech Localization and Musical Audio. *The base was AI-generated, but the transformative creation built upon it stands as an original work. (Text was controlled by a human, the voice and musical audio were edited and reworked by a human)
The game leverages AI as a tool to assist in sketching and creating certain prop illustrations.
Some of the background graphics that appear in the game use or modify copyrighted AI-generated graphics
Most of the image are crappy-cheap AI images because I'm lazy and I don't have the money or skills for better art :)
Generative AI was used to assist with small portions of code and I used it to help me spell check.
The game uses artificial intelligence (AI) as assistance for language translations and the creation of some secondary character avatars. All main story content, dialogue, and core design elements were handcrafted by our team.
A small number of background images rendered by ai tools to generate processing
This game uses generative AI tools in part of the visual production process. The tools are used to process and transform original designs and character materials created by the development team, in order to express trauma, psychological distortion, and instability. AI-generated output is not used directly as-is. It is reviewed, selected, adjusted, and edited by the development team before being used as part of the in-game visual direction.
Using AI in just two steps: 1) The title screen background art was made with AI. 2) Subtitles for some languages were made with AI.
Beneath The Six features an AI narrator who serves as a dungeon master to guide you and comment on your experiences in the daily generated content. We commissioned actor Tom Canton (The Witcher TV series) to record a library of dialogue. This was then used by ElevenLabs to train the AI voice. Both Magicave and ElevenLabs have a commitment to ensuring the rights of voice actors are protected. Magicave has assigned ownership of the AI voice to Tom Canton, licensing it from him for use in the game, while allowing him the freedom to use his AI voice in other media – whether games, voiceovers, animations, audiobooks or movies (https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/beneath-the-six-turn-based-roguelike). Each day we generate new daily content for the dungeon and arena. As part of this we pass the generation data to an LLM to create dialogue for the AI narrator so they can comment on the content included for that day. Some of the daily generated content for the arena and dungeon modes use an LLM to create names for two other purposes. One is for creating the name of any Champion enemies which appear in the dungeon. The other is for creating a name for the daily arena run.
Some of the art texture is generated by AI.
We used artificial intelligence to prepare several assets for the game.
We have used AI for all paintings that appear in the game, as well as for some of the text within the 'About This Game' section on the store page.
We have used some AI image for faster demo-release and it will be used for a while, yet going to be replaced. We will not use any AI image for full-release.

Some icons are generated using AI
The A.I. voice actors are generated from Replica Studios.
This game does not use generative AI to create live gameplay content or code. However, during development and marketing, certain assets were created or assisted using AI tools: Visual assets: Some in-game artwork, UI elements (including icons, buttons, and portraits), as well as promotional visuals used on the Steam store page were initially generated or assisted using AI image generation tools. In addition, achievement icons were created with the help of AI and later manually refined and finalized by the developer to ensure consistency with the game’s artistic direction. Localizations: All translations (except Russian and Ukrainian) were produced using AI-powered translation services without human proofreading. Audio assets: A portion of the sound effects was generated or assisted using AI tools and then mixed, processed, and adjusted by the developer. All AI-assisted content was manually reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer to ensure it aligns with the game’s visual style, tone, and quality standards.
The game translation was done using AI.
Artificial Intelligence has been utilized to create various visuals within the game, with the primary goal of enriching players' gaming experiences aesthetically and providing a visually captivating environment. This technology has been chosen to enhance the quality of visuals in the game, allowing users to experience a more realistic, detailed, and visually impressive environment.
AI was used to assist in generating some of the images.

Generated AI used for title image and store image
Some pictures on the walls were generated by AI.
Generative AI has been used to create almost all graphics, the only exceptions being the menus, attack animations, and player sprite, which were created by the developer. All music was created by Suno AI, and the sound effects were created by MyEdit sound effect AI.
The material in the game is generated by the AI
I used to generate some image and textures
The portraits of some heroes in game were generated from AI
While generating logo and store AI tools used.
Some of the images are AI-generated
Used AI image generation for 2D backgrounds and other UI elements such as button icons.
When user chat while playing a game, users will be communicating with the LLM model and make a voice Azure TTS. The Character appearance is an image pre-generated using generative AI.
In the creation of Cast Cats, AI was used as an auxiliary tool. Almost all images (including the logo), sounds and music were created by the AI, and later were delicately and manually processed in various editors. Our goal is, first of all, a pleasant aesthetic appearance. And secondly, to show how AI can help to create a beautiful game. But most importantly: All players should feel comfortable and have fun playing the game.
We used free image generators for the game art of the game. Then, we modified them to fix little issues. Also, we generated the music fully with ai.
Some storepage artwork is generated by AI
The game used AI-generated planet backgrounds and icons, based on my artwork.
The game includes enhanced images and generated text-to-speech audio.
I used artificial intelligence only to write item descriptions.
