Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We use AI to generate the wallpapers
Some menu, audio and UI elements contain AI generated content.
2D art only
Only some 2D design
Some of the paintings in our game are made by artificial intelligence.
I've generated the icon of the game and the icons of its achievements.
AI was used to assist in programming tasks during development of the game. AI was used for prototyping 2D game art.
Steam page image and logo. Dialogues voice-over
We used procedural AI-generated art to assist and enhance all our art for the Dogs and Cats (towers assets) inside the game. In all cases, the final product is a direct and faithful representation of the creativity and expression of the creator(s) of Elemental Dog Defense. No art was created directly by a prompt; every sprite and art piece represented in the game was first designed by hand and then enhanced with AI tools.
Some store assets were generated using Artificial Intelligence.
Characters, backgrounds and CG scenes were generated with IA and then fixed/post-edited/cleaned extensively in various software image edition programs
Generative AI is used to create some icons and descriptions.
The main map of the story mode and one monster card were created using AI-assisted drawing combined with manual adjustments by artists to ensure the final artwork aligns better with the intended visual effect.
Some content edited or generated using AI
AI has been used in the product development as a production assistant. All the material has ultimately been worked on and developed by a human.
AI (Nano Banana) was used to generate background environment concepts featured in certain UI elements. These concepts were then manually reworked and finalized by our artists. All characters were created entirely by hand by our external artists, Amandine Flahaut and Yaël Préjeant. All weapons were created entirely by hand by Yaël Préjeant. All UI was designed manually by our Art Director, Benjamin François.
AI Suno was used to generate music and AI Ideogram was used to generate images
We used AI to generate images when designing the page in steam and some backgrounds
We did not use AI to generate any content at runtime, we only used AI to generate some promotional images
Some of the item icons in the game used AI generation. For example, gem icon.
some sound fx and a few 3d models
Currently uses an AI narrator for accessibility for event related text while in early access in hopes to get a full voice actor on release.
For the game start screen, icon and game art.
We use additional AI for the game only to enhance the players' experiences. We applied them in: 1. Image rendering DAL-E using chatGPT 4.0 for some UI and Background Images (40%) 2. SFX for the game using AI generative around 30% of the game sound
We did not use AI to generate any content at runtime, we only used AI to generate some promotional images
Almost everything you see in the game is AI generated 😋
Parts of the garden
AI was used to help generate the cover art, store page graphics, and (in-game) main menu background. All other in-game assets and gameplay experience was designed in-house or utilized assets purchased from various marketplaces.
We leverage AI technology to enhance your experience, crafting engaging texts and stunning artwork tailored to deliver the best possible gameplay.
Modified images generated by the generation AI are used in some of the textures of the background 3D objects. (e.g., spider thread ball)
Some generated sprites and icons. Some generated background art pieces.
Some of the character concept art or background filler images in the store visuals for the game were generated with AI assistance and then further processed.
Some parts of graphics used as store page assets are AI-generated. A few characters in the game use AI-generated voices.
We used AI assistance to design some characters
This game contains Audio and / or Artwork customized with the help of AI tools by our artists, derived from artwork we own commercial rights to use, or artwork done by our own artists in studio. We pay our artists, and we DO NOT use stolen Artwork.
AI has been utilized in various aspects: image design, soundtrack, and translations.
Due to budgetary restrictions (we are broke as hell) we have generated images for abilities and passives you can see in the game.
Certain visual UI components were initially generated as primitive draft concepts using AI-assisted tools and were subsequently heavily edited, reworked, and finalized by a sole human designer. AI was not used in the development of any gameplay mechanics, systems, logic, or non-UI content. All such elements were entirely designed and implemented by a sole human developer.
Evocative images for the 'DungeonPedia' were created using Stable Diffusion 1.0, capturing the essence of ancient Sumeria, Greek civilization, and the atmosphere of Crusader Jerusalem. These were then meticulously enhanced in Photoshop, resulting in a distinctive hand-painted style for each element.
For icons, sprites and images.
Using IA for some imagens only, not all things, using bing IA
As a solo developer, I rely on AI tools to make my game a reality. I use ChatGPT to translate my game's text from my native language to English, ensuring it's accessible to everyone. For visuals, I turn to MidJourney to create stunning backgrounds and other artwork. These tools are essential for me, making it possible to develop my game on my own.
The game Delta Strike uses AI generated assets or images for the store page and marketing Material. No AI generated Code or live generated AI is used in Delta Strike.
In development process some images were generated by AI. Also localizations of all text's were generated by AI - all languages except english and polish
This game uses AI for localisation into different languages.
We use generative AI in our adaptive learning algorithm to generate curriculum-focused Math content for the players so that their educational content in the game is always appropriate.
This game features generative art, created with the help of Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, and Adobe Firefly, edited and refined in Adobe Photoshop.
Backgrounds are created using AI and manual refinement.
Development Stage: AI was used during the development phase for generating specific art assets. Types of Assets: Background scenes , some interface elements, element - technology and building icons. AI Tools Used: DALL-E. Extent of AI Use: AI-generated content forms a part of the visual assets but edited by humans (me and the 3D artist). No live generation of AI content occurs while the game is running. Initial AI-generated designs were used as a base, which were modified to ensure they suits with the game's style and aesthetic requirements. This process involved altering AI-generated content to avoid any resemblance to copyrighted materials and ensuring originality.
All card images, videos, voices and songs are AI generated.
