Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI-generated images were used during the concept and reference phase. All final in-game artwork, including card illustrations, backgrounds, UI elements, and promotional materials, was hand-crafted and finalized by the developer.
Some store and library marketing images were created with AI-assisted image generation. The game’s code, gameplay systems, balancing, ship behavior, upgrade systems, and implementation were developed by the developer.
Non-majorists are using Generative AI in everything from coding, images, audio, etc. to create games with just planning. At least it's a lot better than what I do myself.
Generative AI were used only to assist with localization and translation. All localized text is reviewed and edited by the development team.
No art, audio, or code used AI generation.
This game uses generative AI to create various pre-rendered 2D visual assets, such as user interface elements, backgrounds, and item icons. Some pre-rendered audio and sound effects were also generated using AI tools. There is no live-generation of AI content while playing the game.
As a solo developer, I used AI as my development partner on Tower's Gambit. It has helped me code faster and prototype things quickly. Every design decision, every mechanic, every pixel of this game reflects my vision — AI just helped me get there.
AI tools were used during development to assist with text localization,
narrative drafting, and music prompt generation. All game design, pixel art,
code, and final creative decisions are made by the developer.
AI tools were used to assist in creating some card illustrations during development. We will continuously optimize and update the game's visuals based on development progress.
AI-Generated Content Disclosure:
This game includes AI-generated and AI-assisted content. Most 2D art assets (including character/prop/environment illustrations, icons, and UI artwork) were created using generative AI tools and then reviewed and edited by the developer for consistency and quality.
Most audio assets (including sound effects and some music/ambience, if applicable) were also created using AI generation tools and then post-processed (editing, mixing, and mastering) by the developer.
All AI-generated content is curated and integrated by the developer, and the final in-game assets may include manual modifications and additional original work.
This game incorporates AI assistance in its development. The overall vision and execution remain that of the developer.
All language translations were done using Claude. If there are any mistranslations, please contact me to fix them!
A small number of visual elements in this game have been created using generative artificial intelligence. These AI-generated images are limited to a few specific artworks, while the vast majority of visuals, as well as all gameplay, story, and mechanics, are crafted by professional artists and staff.
Some visual assets used in this game were created with the help of AI-assisted tools during development. AI-assisted tools were also used for parts of the programming process. No AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not generate live content for players.
AI was used to assist with language translation and the generation of certain images and music. All final content has been reviewed and refined by the Yajirushi Studio team to ensure quality and an authentic player experience.
Developing Aevalore solo meant tackling a massive project on my own. To manage the 500+ sprite sheets required, I used generative AI for the artwork (most hand polished for finish) and 90% of the music. Some of the music was made by a friend and me. This allowed me to pour all my energy into coding the 81-ability system, 12+ unique characters and crafting the world. These tools didn't replace my vision; they made it possible for a solo dev to build it.
This game contains pre-generated AI content.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation of certain promotional materials and pre-rendered video assets, such as the opening cinematic and store marketing visuals.
No live-generated AI content is used during gameplay.
I used AI for debugging package errors that can generate thousands-lines-long error logs, to point me into the right direction.
I also localized the store page to some languages using LLM.
Dominoir uses generative artificial intelligence as a supporting tool during development. AI was used to assist in the creation of certain audio elements and early visual concepts, including parts of the game’s music and logo.
All assets were curated, edited, and finalized by the developer to ensure consistency with the game’s handcrafted art direction and overall quality.
Generative AI is not used during gameplay, and no player data is processed by AI systems.
AI was used for the following:
* In game code
* Capsule images
* Trailer and boss music
* Ideas and direction for the story
* In-game cinematic
* Character design and in-game portraits
* Model textures
* Achievement images
Description of AI Use:
In this project, Generative AI was used to create promotional artwork, various in-game art assets, and music tracks. Additionally, AI was employed as a coding assistant to help develop and optimize the game's source code. All final outputs have been curated and modified by our development team to meet our creative standards.
Description of AI usage in development:
We utilized AI tools to enhance development efficiency and creative output:
Claude: Heavily used for complex 3D procedural mesh modeling and core game logic scripting to optimize the procedural world-building.
ChatGPT & Gemini: Assisted in creating specific game assets and technical documentation.
Adobe Firefly: Used to generate high-quality visual elements and creative assets specifically for the game’s promotional trailers.
All AI-assisted outputs were refined, integrated, and finalized by the developer to ensure technical stability and creative originality.
This game uses generative AI during development to assist with some pre-generated 2D art assets and store promotional materials. All such content is manually reviewed, edited, and integrated before being used in the game or on the store page. The game does not generate AI content at runtime, and players do not interact with any generative AI system.
AI tools were used to assist in the creation of some music tracks and visual assets. All AI-generated content was reviewed and refined by the developer.
Some of the character portraits, background images, and item images in this game were generated using niji・journey and Canva AI, and were later refined and edited by an artist.
