Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We used generative AI tools to assist with visual development and world-building.
Specifically, we used AI-generated concept art and background compositions as inspiration during early prototyping phases. These assets helped guide the tone and direction of the environments but were later refined or replaced manually to meet performance and visual standards.
We also used AI-assisted writing tools to iterate on in-game lore and placeholder dialogues, ensuring consistency in narrative tone. No generative AI was used to create final voice lines or essential gameplay mechanics.
All AI-generated content was carefully reviewed, curated, and edited by the development team before inclusion.
The game itself does not include any AI-generated content. AI-generated tools were used solely to assist in creating some of the promotional material displayed on this Steam page.
Cabin Curse uses generative AI tools to assist with development. Specifically, AI was used to help create early concept art, generate a few ambient music tracks, and design minor in-world details such as product labels on props (e.g., mugs, cereal boxes). No AI is used to generate content during gameplay, and all AI-generated assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
Generative AI content was used in the following cases:
- The main character of the game on the covers of the Steam page
- Music in the game
- Voice acting in the game
- Images for splashes and backgrounds in the game
AI was used to create base textures that were further modified to suit the tone and atmosphere of the game. They were not used without proper amendments and incorporation to the game.
We confirm that the game does not contain any AI-generated content. All in-game assets including visuals, audio, and text are either original, manually created.
AI-generated tools were used only for promotional purposes, such as Steam capsule images and header artwork. These assets were manually reviewed and edited before use.
We specifically used AI for graphical content.
All characters you see in image form within the game are fictional, created using AI image generation software.
The names and descriptions of these characters were also generated with the help of AI.
The audio and music used in the game are properly licensed and approved for commercial use.
Lip-sync animations for the NPCs were created using AI-assisted lip-sync technology.
The suspense soundtrack was purchased from an external source and is fully licensed.
The image of the character "David" featured on the store page was created using AI to achieve a more realistic appearance. This visual is commercially licensed and appropriate for use in promotional and in-game materials.
The game itself does not include any AI-generated content. AI-generated tools were used solely to assist in creating some of the promotional material displayed on this Steam page.
Fartal Error is developed by a very small independent studio. Due to limited resources, we occasionally rely on generative AI tools for specific visual elements, such as some in-game illustrations, assets and marketing materials.
These tools are used thoughtfully and selectively, always under human direction, to preserve a cohesive artistic vision.
We value transparency, and we encourage players to consider this information when deciding whether the game is right for them.
Our team uses AI in the development of some in-game content and in the production of short-lived promotional materials. AI tooling is used to modify original content prepared by our art team and is subject to manual revision by our artists.
We use AI to quickly generate marketing materials—both images and text—during development to save time and explore ideas. These help us share the game's vision early, even as assets are still being created. All AI-generated content will be replaced with in-game footage and original art from our team as development progresses.
Some illustrations and icons used in this game were created in advance using generative AI.
This includes, for example, employee portraits, shop logos, and character illustrations from the in-game virtual online game.
Playback uses generative AI tools during the development process to assist with localized text translations and to help refine narrative documentation. All AI-assisted content has been manually reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure quality and consistency. No content is generated in real-time during gameplay.
During development, we used AI-based tools to assist with content creation. This includes a small number of paintings and ambient sounds. All content was reviewed and curated by our team to match the tone and style of the game.
No real-time AI or generative interaction occurs during gameplay.
