Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We used procedural AI-generated art to assist and enhance all our art for the Dogs and Cats (towers assets) inside the game. In all cases, the final product is a direct and faithful representation of the creativity and expression of the creator(s) of Elemental Dog Defense. No art was created directly by a prompt; every sprite and art piece represented in the game was first designed by hand and then enhanced with AI tools.
Using AI image generation, transform hand-drawn sketches into AI-enhanced artwork. Improve the appearance of your imperfect drawing lines with AI processing, making them more aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, use SD1.0 to create background images, ensuring they are not too plain. All AI tools used have been verified for commercial use.
The main map of the story mode and one monster card were created using AI-assisted drawing combined with manual adjustments by artists to ensure the final artwork aligns better with the intended visual effect.
AI (Nano Banana) was used to generate background environment concepts featured in certain UI elements. These concepts were then manually reworked and finalized by our artists.
All characters were created entirely by hand by our external artists, Amandine Flahaut and Yaël Préjeant. All weapons were created entirely by hand by Yaël Préjeant. All UI was designed manually by our Art Director, Benjamin François.

Generative AI tools were used during the development of this game to assist in the creation of various pre-generated content, including certain visual assets, text, localization, audio, UI elements, promotional materials, and development support.
All content ultimately released or included in the game has been manually reviewed, edited, and approved to ensure it meets the game’s quality standards.
Some art resources in the game contain AI generated content. The general processing method is to generate art resources through AI and then synthesize them into the available art resources for use in the game through secondary processing. The resources generated by AI include promotional images, game logos, background images, etc.
Artificial intelligence was used to create concept images of the girls from the game and promotional materials that were then finalized by artists and animators. One of the background locations was also created
Generative AI was used during development to assist in creating selected pre-rendered card assets. Each AI-assisted asset was carefully reviewed, edited, retouched, and manually polished before being included in the game. No content is generated by AI while the game is running.
The vast majority of the artwork in the game was created by our team of artists, hired freelancers or purchased on market places. In some cases, AI was used to generate reference images to assist with the creative process, but all final assets were either fully redrawn or significantly refined by human artists to ensure quality and originality.
We utilized AI tools to generate internal references for composition and framing. These outputs were then used as a base to manually create handcrafted pixel art assets, ensuring all final in-game visuals follow our custom palettes and artistic standards.
Certain visual UI components were initially generated as primitive draft concepts using AI-assisted tools and were subsequently heavily edited, reworked, and finalized by a sole human designer.
AI was not used in the development of any gameplay mechanics, systems, logic, or non-UI content. All such elements were entirely designed and implemented by a sole human developer.
The stained glass artworks in the game were generated by AI. For each level, we needed 3 different stained glass depictions of different animals. Our logo and some of our UI elements were also designed by AI.
We may use AI generated images for promotional material like events or gameplay updates.
No in game art is AI generated. All in game art as well our core Steam artwork are handmade.
We utilized AI technology to enhance the music experience in our game. The background music adapts dynamically to the in-game events and your progress, creating a more immersive and personalized atmosphere. Enjoy the ever-changing soundscape as you explore the game world.
We have removed all AI from our game. It has been in Illusion's mechanics previously, but right now it's not.
Please read the article for the AI removal that we posted.
However, we will keep the label until we replace the trailer, which had an AI asset in it (Illusions).
But the game itself does not contain any AI content now.
