Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Visual Assets: Some static assets, such as enemy hit reactions, were initially generated with AI-based tools and then edited by hand.
Steam page banner was genearted using AI. But no more than that.
Uses pre-rendered icons and music
This game uses a Large Language Model to help parse out in-game player character data (quests, allied factions, in-game world events, NPCs the player has interacted with, etc.) to customize quest objectives and reword hand written dialogue to fit that particular player character's playthrough.
We use AI for some of the in-game character portraits
Political Arena is being produced by a small team on a tight budget. We’re proud to have worked with a number of gifted artists, designers, developers and other creators on many of our core systems and assets. We have employed AI art assets only when it exceeds our budget capacity to provide fair wages for our team. We have employed AI to create or modify specialized, low-frequency art assets including art for certain event windows. Nearly all of our game’s most visible art assets, including its UI, backgrounds and character art were all produced by experienced artists.
Outer Space Shack music is generated by AI.
The Store Page' game front cover(ie marketing material) made use of AI tools during its creation process.
AI image generation used to produce characters in gas masks and background for store page logos
The game use AI generated music and some pictures generated by AI.
Some icons and background images are currently prototyped with AI but will be replaced in the future if the budget allows it.
Used for creating the game banner
The vast majority of the game is handcrafted. AI tools were used to assist in the creation of 2D character dialogue portraits and some minor environment textures.
We use a limited amount of pre-rendered AI generated content in our game. The background announcers in the hub and gameplay announcer were made using text to speech generation.
Dialogue Generation: An on-board AI character named AURORA uses a local offline LLM to generate procedural dialogue in response to player actions or voice input. This allows for varied, context-sensitive replies that maintain the tone and lore of the game world. Voice Interaction (optional): Players may speak to AURORA using voice recognition, which is then interpreted and processed to generate in-character responses, offering a more immersive narrative experience.
We trained an AI that helped us generate base pictures that we then used as source to create illustrations for blessings and some items ingame. All other illustration are original creation made by our artists.
My game uses AI quite frequently. Every logo you see is a product of the collaboration between a human and an AI. Every song you hear is a product of human-AI collaboration. Every player report card uses AI generated text modularly pieced together from smaller chunks. The match commentator is using an AI generated voice. This is a modern game that uses modern technology to its full potential.
For ideation and references only.
AI has been used to generate some sound effects
Capsule art and one or two textures made partly with the help of generative AI.

Main menu graphics.
We employ generative AI technologies during the creation of some assets. Typically this involves the ideation of content and visual reference material. These elements represent a minor component of the overall development. AI has been used to generate voices for an AI antagonist and a player advisor.
AI-assisted tools may also be used during development for temporary voice-over drafts, sound exploration, and visual concept iteration, strictly as part of the production workflow. Final voice acting, sound effects, music selection, visual assets, and UI elements are curated, edited, or replaced by the developer before release to meet quality, consistency, and licensing standards. No AI systems generate live audio, voices, images, or visual content during gameplay. All final in-game audiovisual content is authored, validated, and intentionally integrated into the game experience.
Use of AI-generated for some backgrounds
The illustration is created with AI and modified.
In Source of Madness, AI shapes the player experience by procedurally generating the Loam Lands, its monsters, and environments. Each encounter is unique, with neural-network-driven animations and behavior, ensuring that exploration, combat, and loot are always unpredictable and tailored to the player’s journey.
We’ve utilized AI to assist in the creation of certain visual elements, such as asteroids and ships, which are featured in the game. These AI-generated assets were thoughtfully integrated to enhance your visual experience. Please note, AI is not involved in gameplay or player interactions.
Icons + Artists Paintover for 5 icons, out of 100s of artist icons
Some graphics, music, and translations were created with the help of AI and refined manually.
This game includes translations created with the assistance of AI and edited for quality.
Steam store page description corrections
Chat GPT is used to search for programming solutions and to generate names. AI is used to translate to other languages than English. The paintings are prepared with a mixed canvas of AI images, 3D models, photos, textures and other paintings. And is then manually painted over, together with some filters and effects. Generated audio melodies, voices and sound filters for game events are used.
The storefront Logo for this game was created with the help of AI-assisted tools and was then further developed through manual work — modified, improved, and integrated to align with the game’s overall style and vision. No other AI generation was used in the development of this game.
AI-assisted coding tools have been used to help develop code for game updates. No AI-generated artwork, audio, music, or other creative content has been used.
Some steam community/marketing content
We have used in-house AI models to generate background assets, font, and some voices. We will continue to advance the practical application of AI in art creation. To discuss the latest progress in this field, welcome to contact us.

We are using AI to assist in creation of marketing graphics only.
We leveraged AI-generated content to enrich our game with elements that would have been otherwise challenging to include. Specifically, we used AI for the AI character voiceover in different languages, a feature made possible thanks to this technology. In this case it made even more sense since the character is actually an AI. Otherwise, all the core art and visual elements of the game have been designed by human talents.
AI helped with the logo for this game.
AI is used to generate pre-rendered avatars used for heroes in the game.
This project did not use tools to create content from text prompts. Because "Generative Artificial Intelligence" is inconcistently defined, following it the list all Machine Learning technologies I use. Many of them are widely used and not commonly considered AI, but meet the current dictionary definition of "computer system that has some qualities of human brain that is able to produce text, images, etc.", so I list them for full transparency: - Generating crew portraits with artist-driven sliders for facial features. - Creating portrait depth maps for dynamic lighting. - Upscaling promotional images. - Denoising rendered images. - Enhancing in-game ads with actor face replacement for realism. - Spell-checking, grammar-checking and rephrasing some text.
Some of the voice-over dialogs during the introduction cut-scene are computer generated. Some of the images during the introduction cut-scene were stylized using generative AI.
