Some Assets made by AI.
Read the section above about the game for more information.
Generative AI was used to create portions of the game's logo, character icon artwork, and promotional/store page images. Some marketing images were created using in-game screenshots as references and combined with AI-assisted artwork.
As a solo developer handling the entire scope of code, systems architecture, and design, generative AI tools were utilized during development to handle the massive volume of graphic assets. This includes illustrative 2D artwork for specific field environments, background landscapes, UI map layouts, and card illustration frames. Leveraging these tools allowed me to focus my full energy on what matters most: creating deep tactical gameplay, tight mechanical balance, and a compelling narrative. Every asset generated was extensively curated, manually edited, and visually polished to align perfectly with the game's aesthetic, storytelling, and tactical user interface. No live generative AI is used while the game is running.
Portions of in-game art assets were initially generated with generative AI, followed by extensive manual hand-drawn revision, restructuring and detailed painting by the developer. Game text and localization drafts were AI-assisted then fully proofread and revised manually. All background music and sound effects are licensed free commercial assets downloaded from authorized resource websites; no generative AI was used for audio production. Source code was written with coding assistant tools.
AI is used on an ad hoc basis for: 3D model texturing, code assistance, and references for asset modeling. It does not affect gameplay or interactive content.
This game made extensive use of generative AI during development. Most of the images in the game were created with the assistance of generative AI. Generative AI was also used for concept work, visual drafts, UI text, translation drafts, and promotional materials. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game. Generative AI is not used during gameplay to create real-time content or player-specific responses. This disclosure message was also written with the assistance of generative AI.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence to assist with the creation of some pre-rendered content, including visual, audio, translation, or marketing elements. All AI-generated or AI-assisted content is selected, modified, corrected, and manually integrated by a human before final use. AI is used as a creative assistance tool, not as a replacement for human work. No content is generated in real time by AI within the game, and no generative AI directly interacts with players during gameplay.
Store artwork, animations, characters, quests, localization, programming.
Our development pipeline combines traditional methods with modern technologies. To streamline our workflow and support our vision, some assets and game elements may have been developed or refined with the assistance of AI-driven tools. We treat these technologies as an extension of our creative toolkit.
Generative AI were used to assist in the creation of assets, and artwork. All generated content was reviewed and modified by the developers before inclusion in the final game.
This game uses generative AI only for content prepared prior to release, not while you play. • Store and marketing images (such as library artwork and app icons) may include elements created with generative image tools, then reviewed and edited by the developer. • Non-English interface text and localized Steam store descriptions may be produced or assisted by machine translation (including automated translation services), then reviewed where possible. Gameplay visuals are primarily programmatic pixel-style graphics generated by the game engine. Zone layouts are procedurally arranged by game logic, not by a generative AI model during play. The game does not use generative AI to create new images, audio, or narrative for you during gameplay, and it does not connect to third-party generative AI services while you are playing.
AI illustrations were used for some bullets, bosses, and background images.
Some image and video clips were created using AI
Pre-Generated Content: We used generative AI tools to create some of the background music (BGM) and environmental sounds. Additionally, some 2D background artwork, such as loading screens, was generated using AI. All AI-generated assets have been strictly reviewed and heavily edited by the developer to fit the game's stylized direction and ensure they do not infringe on any third-party copyrights. Live-Generated Content: This game does not contain any live-generated AI content.
This game uses generative AI to produce dialogue content in real time. All character responses are generated by a large language model (LLM) based on user input and the loaded character card settings. No pre-written dialogue scripts are included in the shipped game. Character cards are created by third-party authors and may themselves contain AI-generated content.
AI was used in: -Asset generation -Language translations -Porting to multiple platforms
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of some art assets. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game.
We operate as two-man team, soem of the graphics and sounds effects were generated with AI.
AI was used for graphics not included in the original 2009 release, such as achievement icons and store page banners.
AI Generated Content Disclosure The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this: Generative AI tools were used in limited cases during the production of certain game assets. AI-generated content was not used as-is, and any such assets were revised, refined, and finalized by our art and development teams to ensure they meet our quality standards and creative direction.
Some of the CC0 soundtracks I found online turned out to be ai generated. I'm currently working with a talented composer to replace them all with human-made ones.
Note on AI-generated content: Some of the visual assets used in our store page, including certain game scenes and character illustrations, were created with the assistance of AI generation tools. Please rest assured that the core gameplay design, storyline, character development, and all game mechanics are entirely handcrafted by our solo developer. We believe in transparency and honesty. If you have any questions about our development process, feel free to reach out. Thank you for your understanding and support.
The C# code behind is created by the developer with the assistance of AI. The translation from English is also created by AI.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation of some music, sound effects, and promotional artwork associated with the game. The game's programming, design, and in-game visual content were created by the developer.
Some placeholder art was generated using ethically trained local AI models.
Some of the scene and character illustrations are generated by AI.
Generative AI tools were used during development for technical planning, system architecture, building custom systems, code cleanup, and similar engineering support. Some current pre-release visual/model assets are AI-generated placeholders. These are intended to be replaced with final authored assets before release.
AI Usage Disclosure AI tools were used to assist in writing and reviewing portions of the game’s code, as well as for generating early marketing materials. All AI-generated content was reviewed, modified, and finalized by the developer.

Some of the playable character and enemy models currently in the game were made with help from generative AI tools. I’m still working on these assets during development, and some or all of them may be replaced before release. I’ll update this disclosure if that changes.
AI was partially used in the production process for some of this game’s art and audio assets, as well as in the code-writing workflow.
All of your conversations with the “manita” character are generated by artificial intelligence. The design, UI/UX, and character design are not generated by artificial intelligenc
I'm a solo developer and a 3D and graphic design teacher by day. Every visual asset in this game (from the pixel art creatures to the 3D environments) is crafted by me. Music and sound effects come from licensed human creators. AI tools helped me during development with coding, debugging, and organizing ideas, but never to create visual or audio content. The English and Spanish localizations are written by me. For all other languages, I used AI-assisted translation, because there's nothing better than playing a game in your own language, and I wanted Luminons to reach as many people as possible. Professional translators are outside the budget for a solo project, but if this game finds its audience, revisiting every localization with human translators (and adding more languages) is absolutely on the list.
Immortal Rebirth utilizes generative AI for some in-game icons.
This game uses generative AI tools to assist in creating some art assets, sound effects, and text content. All generated content has been reviewed and edited by humans to ensure compliance and quality.
AI were used to assist with translating text into multiple languages.
Non-English localizations are AI-assisted and reviewed by our team for quality. Simplified Chinese was additionally reviewed by a native speaker. We welcome community feedback to help improve translations over time.
Scourge of the Necromancer makes significant use of generative AI in its production. We want to be fully upfront about it. Visual assets (2D images + video) — all AI-generated, then human-curated and human-edited. Every shipped image and video in the game and on the Steam store page was produced with AI tools, then reviewed, edited, and selected by hand by the developer. This covers: Steam store capsules and library art, the store-page background, all in-game achievement icons, hero portraits, the Necromancer concept art, decorative UI elements, all real-time cinematics (the defeat sequence and all victory variants), and the marketing trailer's atmospheric segments. Image models used: Google Imagen 4, Google Veo 3.1 (video), Nano Banana Pro / Gemini 3 Pro Image (Google), Black Forest Labs FLUX.2, Recraft V4 Pro, Ideogram V3, and Bria RMBG-2.0 (background removal). Final assets received human editing — compositing, color correction, retouching, frame extraction, masking, and rejection of unusable outputs. 3D models — AI-generated base meshes, then human-edited in Blender. The in-game hero character models (Knight, Cleric, Ranger, Wizard, Warrior, Alchemist) started as outputs from Tripo AI's generative 3D model service (FBX + texture PNGs), but each model was then opened in Blender by the developer for hand editing — mesh cleanup, geometry adjustments, and texture fixes — before being exported for use in the game. Each finished model was imported into Unity with hand-tuned scale, rotation, material configuration, and import-setting curation. Unsatisfactory generations were discarded and re-prompted; the Blender editing step is substantial enough that the shipped models are not pure AI output. Music — AI-generated, then human-curated and post-processed. All music tracks in the game (menu, gameplay layers, boss phases, victory, defeat) were produced with Google Gemini's music generation, then human-selected, trimmed, looped, and mixed by the developer. Necromancer voice — AI-generated, then human-edited. The Necromancer's spoken syllables were synthesized with ElevenLabs Text-to-Speech (Eleven Multilingual v2 model), then pitch-shifted, EQ'd, and processed with reverb in Audacity by the developer to produce the final in-game delivery. No other character has spoken voice lines in the shipped game. Sound effects — all AI-generated. Every SFX in the game (ability sounds, ambient layers, UI sounds, footsteps, kill/spawn cues, tile state cues, boss audio) was produced with ElevenLabs Sound Effects, then human-selected, trimmed, processed, and mixed by the developer. The Necromancer voice lines use ElevenLabs Text-to-Speech (covered separately above). Runtime behavior. The game does NOT use live-generated AI content at runtime. Every shipped asset is a fixed, pre-rendered file. Player-facing text, dialogue, narrative, lore, and game design were written by the developer without AI generation. Code. Code development used Claude (Anthropic) as an AI coding assistant. This is behind-the-scenes efficiency tooling not consumed by players, but we mention it here for full transparency.
AI is used to generate realistic conversations with Non-Playable Characters.
Some artwork is generated using AI. I am a solo indie developer and 2D art is not my strong point.
We believe that no person should be replaced by AI. All Primals — their models, animation, rigging, textures, SFX, and VFX — have been handcrafted by skilled artists. Our developers may choose to use generative AI as part of an iterative, exploratory development process, but how and when is left to individual team members, and the final product always reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team. As a small team, we have licensed some icons and 2D assets from external creators, and it is possible that some of these creators have used generative AI.
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of promotional visual assets, including the game's logo and certain store page artwork. No gameplay content, code, story, dialogue, quests, characters, or game mechanics are generated by AI. All gameplay screenshots represent actual in-game content.
Background and character were partially assisted with AI-editing tools.

Some ingame models and textures are AI generated to help speed up the production pipeline. These will eventually be replaced and I simply refuse to charge money for a game which uses AI assets, so until then this game will be free until all AI assets are replaced.
The game's English and Japanese translations were generated using AI-assisted translation.
This game uses AI-generated and post-edited content for the presentation of scenes and characters.
Some basic art assets were generated using AI.
The images in the game utilize AI technology, but they do not need to be generated in real-time.
