Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Game visuals were created using artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence has been used in the game’s promotional visuals and in some in-game items.
The game's store page images and library visuals were created using AI tools (e.g., StableDiffusion). These visuals were generated during the development process and are static assets, the same for all players. The game does not include any live-generated AI content. All in-game assets are pre-designed and do not involve dynamic AI generation based on player input.
This was used to assist with a few images, an asset, and a couple of store capsules for added polish.
the pictures are AI-generated
- The rest of the game (game design, code, visual assets, story, text, etc.) was not created using generative AI. - The AI does not participate in real-time gameplay and does not generate content for the user.
We used AI to generate pre-rendered content for this game. for example some icons. and we used ai for get some advice. We have NOT use AI to live-generate content or code during gameplay yet.
Ai Generated Pictures and some textures and voices. All is placeholder and intended to be changed
Contains AI generated Images and Music
Some promotional materials, including the trailer banner and capsule image, were created using generative AI tools. All in-game content—such as visuals, audio, and gameplay assets—are entirely handcrafted or sourced without AI generation.
Some promotional images on the store page were generated or enhanced using AI tools. These assets are only used for marketing purposes and do not reflect in-game content.
This is the first survival game where npc's think they are really alive. This game is connected to artificial intelligence and enables NPCs to answer any questions you may have within the framework of the game.
A limited number of images are initially generated using FLUX before undergoing manual enhancement.
The cover picture and the soundtrack are generated by AI
Some AI-generated text or images may be used for marketing purposes. Gameplay does not contain any AI-generated content.
Noble Legacy uses AI-assisted voice for temporary placeholder lines during Early Access. All content is pre-generated and will be replaced with custom voice acting over time.
This game uses artificial intelligence only for narrative content creation. All dialogue, descriptions, and text were generated with the help of AI during development, with manual review to ensure quality, cohesion, and originality. Players can prompt unique 3D realms into existence using Nyric. An API breaks down text inputs into a pipeline of world attributes in order to generate biomes from a pre-loaded cache of assets at runtime. World themes, weather, time periods, hostility, and unique asset names are generated at runtime for novel worldbuilding. AI companion moods, reactions, and personalities are generated at runtime using API responses.
Some plot background pictures
During the development of this game, generative AI tools were used to assist with creating certain art assets, proofreading text, and checking code. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, edited, and finalized by the development team, ensuring quality and compliance with Steam’s content guidelines.
AI generated Songs /Music but with human Poetry
- Some icons and textures are AI generated
In the game we have a small story, the art for which was generated by AI
All ingame music generated with Udio.com. Ingame skyboxes generated skybox.blockadelabs.com. Some images generated with Adobe Firefly.
We use AI to generate more suitable visuals, such as cards, backgrounds, etc.
As we are indie developers, we use some generative ai tools image generator or ai chatbots, to get birds eye view of how the game will look like, and to create a better plan for our game, then we created the content ourselves.
We use it for concept arts(not in game), and in game posters
AI for Language translation and promotional images
In early access, the game will contain some AI-generated images that will be replaced up to full release. AI-generated with: - Craiyon
For some visuals and audio files, they were edited with the necessary photoshop and videoedit programs with support from AI
AI was used for some icons, all music and the loading screen. These are just placeholders until I either learn to create content that can replace or gain enough funding to hire someone to.
Artificial intelligence was used in the design of the game's posters.
The game does not contain AI-generated content. AI-generated content is used just for Steam Images.
Some of the game's text and images are produced with the help of AI
Game contains images of characters, modules, ships, voice of characters generated by AI.
AI technology was used for select visual assets and localization. Character illustrations and in-game designs began as AI drafts and were refined manually to match our style.
we use AI generative software to work with the npc and interactables in the game
Some 3D models of objects, sounds, music, translation and voice-over of text
Players’ use of AI in our game: In Hidden Bloodhunt, artificial intelligence is not used directly by players. All AI content is fully integrated into the game during development and is not modifiable or generable by the community. Tool-created assets used for certain aspects of the game (e.g. synthetic voices) have been carefully reviewed prior to release to ensure compliance with intellectual property laws and relevance to the gameplay experience. This means that players interact with fixed content only, with no ability to generate or use AI assets themselves.
Images on the store page include those created using AI-generated elements. Over half of the 3D objects in the game were generated with the help of AI. When creating in-game music, AI was used as a tool to assist in searching for sample audio sources. The in-game text was also created with AI assistance.
Some of the visual elements in the game, including the skill card images, game logo, and other artwork, were created using AI-generated content. This technology helped us enhance the game's aesthetic appeal and provide a unique visual experience.
AI is used only for images in the store.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Art assets such as certain icons, the lobby, loading screens, and in-game portraits contains artwork created with the help of generative AI. These assets have been carefully edited and reviewed to ensure they align with the game's visual style and quality.
AI-generated art object
Used in art asset creation
The use of artificial intelligence was only applied to audio, for example music. It does not affect gameplay and has not been used for other related purposes such as programming, modeling, or other things. Even though it is used for music, few were generated by artificial intelligence.
Due to budget constraints, some of the game's 2D sprites are generated by a neural network.
I used AI images incredibly sparingly; I also modified the original AI image templates to get a desired outcome. The examples are -- the games text logo "Addled Clicker" was original AI before being edited heavily, a single image depicting a lovecraftian blob was used in one of the monster descriptions -- again, heavily edited, and finally in the in-game merchant, the background is a blurred lovecraftian manuscript that was AI generated as well.
Due to my limited artistic ability, I have made use of a generative artificial intelligence —diffusion model, on the store page to assist in the display of promotional and sales images. But please rest assured that the game screenshots are all taken from real playing process. Finally, I hope you enjoy my independent game!
only for background of art (images).
