Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
- This game progresses through a pseudo-smartphone chat app that appears within the game. Some messages and choices in the chat are generated by AI, and the story changes depending on the player’s selections.
- Some character images and backgrounds are created using AI-generated images
AI tools were used in limited, developer-supervised ways to support the creation of voiceover audio. The final product reflects the craft and creativity of our development team.
Images and Audio were generated using paid compliant AI that is not taught on unlicensed material. Ethically generated as needed as this is a free game and would not exist without the assistance AI provides to Indie Devs. We are just trying to give people a fun experience. As they say hate the Player don't hate the Game.
During the development of D.R.I.F.T., some AI tools may have been used for optimization and generating graphics. However, AI is not used in the game at any point during gameplay.
Movavi Video Editor comes packed with smart AI tools that make video editing even easier:
-Automatic subtitle creation saves loads of time by generating captions for you in almost any language.
-The AI denoiser automatically cleans up background noise in your audio, so you get clear sound without any hassle.
-If you need to remove background, AI does it in just a few clicks – no green screen required!
-With motion tracking, you can easily follow objects or people through your footage, making it a breeze to add text, effects, or animations that stay locked onto your moving subject.
AI was used to assist with marketing materials and development support as a solo developer. Specifically: generated promotional artwork for trailers, helped brainstorm game concepts and mechanics, assisted with writing store descriptions and marketing copy, and provided coding assistance and debugging support. No AI-generated content appears in the actual gameplay - all core game mechanics, design, and player experience are original creations.
This game uses AI-assisted tools to help create some store page assets and in-game text descriptions. All gameplay, art, and systems are hand-crafted and not AI-generated during play.
Experience the power of AI: create clothing, 3D models, and custom scenes with ease, interact with your personal AI companion through natural conversations, and build your own AI avatar to explore the world together.
This game utilizes generative AI in a supplementary role to create and modify some of the image assets.
Our use of generative AI includes:
Creation from scratch:
An image of a digital scale.
Editing and processing of original/stock photos:
A stylized illustration of the motorcycle used in the game's logo.
Images of a fictional map book titled "Touring Mapping".
Weather effects (such as adding rain) to some of the background images.
The core of this game—the actual photos taken by the developer in 2007—are not generated by AI.
Haze uses AI to generate unique, procedural game content that ensures no two playthroughs are identical.
AI-Generated Content:
- Scene Imagery: Scenes are generated using Replicate's imagen-4 model, creating unique visual environments as players explore
- Narrative & Dialogue: Google Gemini generates scene descriptions, story text, and contextual responses based on player
actions
- Interactive Elements: AI analyzes scenes to determine clickable areas, available actions, and discoverable items
How It Works:
When players explore the game world, AI services generate new scenes and narrative content in real-time based on the current
story context and player choices. This creates a dynamic, branching experience where the horror unfolds differently for each
player.
Data Usage:
Player interactions are processed to generate contextually appropriate content during gameplay. No player data is used to train
AI models. Game content is generated on-demand and stored locally on the player's device.
Invaders utilizes ChatGPT and Adobe Photoshop AI technologies to design and generate user interface elements and in-game imagery. These tools are used exclusively for creative and illustrative purposes to enhance the visual quality and artistic consistency of the game.
I’m a solo dev (writer/coder) with no art budget or ability, so all visuals are AI-generated and then hand-edited by me. I spent hundreds of hours curating 300+ illustrations for character consistency: it's about 90% there, with occasional quirks I keep patching. No AI runs during gameplay (everything is pre-rendered), and all writing, choices, and code are human-made. If AI art isn’t for you, I totally understand, then please skip this game.
Listening to a story is a magic that should have no boundaries. To guarantee that the adventure maintains the same intensity, tone, and soul in every corner of the world, we chose a narration driven by state-of-the-art voice synthesis technology. This choice allows us to immediately offer a complete immersive experience in 9 languages, overcoming the barriers of reading. Your support is the engine that will allow us to evolve further, with the future goal of enriching the audio cast with professional performers.
During the development of this game, generative AI technologies were utuilized to assist in the creation of some 3D models and visiual design assets. We view AI as a tool for inspiration and efficiency in this journey, not as the final creator.
About the characters (main characters, sub characters)...
I used a real photo of a "dog" (the author's pet) as a face model, and after combining it with an analog illustration (the author's own work), I processed it with AI.
For some of the mob characters and the background, I used a generative AI by prompts.
AI usage (development & marketing only).
Paws & Circuits: Reboot Earth does not generate content live in-game and does not accept user prompts or inputs. During development, generative AI was used as a supportive tool (e.g., for concept iteration, text drafts, a few placeholder voice lines, and select marketing assets and occasional placeholder textures). All outputs were manually reviewed, edited, and curated. The shipped content is static, non-interactive, and contains no live AI and no user-generated content.
If any assets are flagged via Steam’s reporting tools, they will be removed or replaced promptly. Over time, placeholders will be gradually replaced with hand-crafted assets.
Content notice: Themes of environmental pollution/cleanup and survival (possible death by cold/starvation). No combat, no graphic violence.
We used generative-AI tools during development for some art and audio, plus AI assistants for code and copy edits. All results were reviewed/edited by us. No in-game or real-time AI; no player data is sent to AI services.
The graphic shows images of units (actions) that are created on the basis of real software features to change development time. Additionally, some functionality was ported from a raw state and refined using AI, and AI is also being used to write several of the core systems. (In the trailer, we also used some AI-generated audio and images.)
Generative AI tools were used during development to create some visual assets (such as UI artwork and promotional images). All AI-assisted assets were reviewed and manually edited to match DraQu’s style and quality standards.
