Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game uses artificial intelligence only for narrative content creation.
All dialogue, descriptions, and text were generated with the help of AI during development, with manual review to ensure quality, cohesion, and originality.
AI is not used in real time during gameplay and does not interact directly with the player. All final content was carefully integrated into the game before release.
2 or 3 textures from the main illustration were AI-generated and subsequently edited and adapted to the final artwork. No in-game graphics were generated using AI.
Some icons were created using AI assisted tools during development. All assets are reviewed and customized to fit the game’s visual style, and we’re happy to update or replace anything based on feedback.
We used AI technology to create some of the textures and visuals in our game. These assets are provided locally and do not require an internet connection.
We occasionally used AI tools to help generate textures, images, ambient sounds, or rough concept ideas that were later refined & edited by hand.
Nearly everything you see, hear, and play in this game, including the characters, environments, animations, gameplay systems, writing, and music production, was created manually by the developer & the bands & artists featured in the game. Every AI-assisted element was edited, remixed, or rebuilt to fit the game’s unique world and tone.
AI tools were used for concept generation and minor asset assistance.
No unlicensed likenesses, or copyrighted material was used.
Use of AI in the Game
This game utilizes artificial intelligence for certain visual assets. AI-generated artwork is used for the store cover images, the images unlocked in the Level Map, and the Game Over screen illustration.
Our goal is to enhance the visual experience while maintaining artistic cohesion and the intended style. All images have been carefully curated and refined to align with the game's identity.
Super Slime Boy does not use generative AI during gameplay. Some promotional materials and concept art on the store page were created using AI-assisted tools, but all in-game content is handcrafted and carefully designed by the development team.

AI is used in certain aspects of AquaBall League's development, but always as a tool to assist and enhance human creativity, not replace it.
How We Use AI in Development & Marketing:
Pre-Rendered Assets: AI-assisted tools help generate concept art, environmental textures, and animation references to speed up workflows. However, final assets are created and refined by human artists.
Marketing & Store Page Content: AI is sometimes used for copywriting assistance (e.g., generating draft descriptions) and image upscaling, but all materials are reviewed and finalized by the development team.
Community Engagement: AI-powered tools may assist in moderating discussions or generating interactive content like chatbots for FAQs.
What We Do Not Use AI For:
We do not use AI-generated assets as final in-game models, animations, or sound.
We do not use AI to replace human-written narratives, character design, or core gameplay elements.
AI is just one of many tools we use to streamline production, but our focus remains on human creativity, originality, and player-driven innovation.
Generative AI was used to generate the large images and certain UI elements. However, all the final images were manually retouched.
The music is original, but AI was used during the creation process.
Some character voices in this game were created using AI-assisted tools. All AI generated audio has been reviewed and approved by the development team to ensure quality and consistency.
All our puzzles are created from 3D scans of real world places or modelled by human 3D artists.
Occasionally our 3D artists use some limited generative AI tools as part of their process, e.g. for cleaning up texture artifacts of 3D scans or adding small details like figures or objects.
We will never use any fully AI generated content directly in the game.

Yes, the game uses generative AI for voiceovers. Character voices were created using ElevenLabs during development, but no real-time AI generation occurs during gameplay.
In developing Path of the Ory, I harnessed the power of AI tools to create compelling and immersive ending cutscene. Using art editing software, I refined the visual elements of the final cutscene to align with the story’s rich, fantasy-driven aesthetic, enhancing the details and creating cinematic transitions. For voice acting, Eleven Labs provided narration. Suno’s AI-driven music composition tools helped craft two unique songs for the game.
"We used Midjourney to generate some of the artwork for our game, but we modified and adapted it using programs like Canva and Photoshop, all legally purchased under a commercial license. The content was reviewed and modified by our team to ensure it complies with Steam standards."
We guarantee that all our assets are 100% original, developed in-house, without using third-party content. We fully comply with Steam’s guidelines, ensuring that our game respects copyright laws and provides an authentic and exclusive experience for players.
All visual art, gameplay assets, music and written narrative were created by humans. No AI is used to generate content during gameplay. The game uses AI-generated voice acting for cinematic and in-game character dialogue.
This game uses generated AI for the following purposes
- To generate some of the game's program code
- To format text in the store to make it easier to read
- To translate text into languages other than Japanese
- However, the text rarely appears in the game
- No content or code is generated live during gameplay
All gameplay design, level creation, and art direction are human-crafted. Select background music tracks and UI textures in the current build were created with AI assistance. Original bespoke compositions are being produced for final release.
Everything in the game (every line of code, every 2d, 3d, and audio asset) is written/made by either Kiyasui-Hito (the solo indie developer of this game) or a third-party entity as credited in the game's credits screen, without any assistance/use of AI.
Text translations (in-game menus, store page descriptions) were done using AI.
The temporary capsule image art on the store page is also AI generated.
AI is used in this way because I have a low budget and my friend who is an artist is quite busy these days.
