Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some images in the game were generated using AI. These images are displayed throughout the game as gallery artwork and posters. None of it depicts nudity or sexual situations of any kind. Also some of the images are also used as icons and artwork in the store game description page.
AI-generated content disclosure The developer's description of how their game uses AI-generated content is as follows: Due to cost constraints, avoidance of sensitive information, etc., we used AI-assisted generation of pre-rendered footage in a very small number of videos: news images, sea freighters, live footage, and cinematics. The content with AI-generated appearances does not exceed 1% of the total amount of material (about 3-4 minutes), so please bear with us!
SUBDERMAL does not use generative AI during gameplay or while the game is running.
No images, audio, text, dialogue, or gameplay content is generated dynamically via AI during play. All assets—including visuals, audio, writing, voice acting, and gameplay systems—are fully authored, fixed, and shipped as part of the final build.
What AI Is Not Used For
• No real-time AI text generation
• No real-time AI image or video generation
• No real-time AI voice synthesis
• No adaptive AI narrative systems
• No AI-based player interaction or chat
What AI Was Used During Development
Placeholder assets or ideas were assisted during development (concept art drafts, placeholder imagery, writing refinement), but all final in-game content is original, human-authored, and fully static except a small minority of AI-generated textures that appear on certain objects.
This development-phase AI usage does not affect gameplay and does not generate new content for players.
The game also contains textures which were upscaled using AI, but were originally human-authored.
Guardrails
Because the game does not include any generative systems during runtime, no special guardrails are required. Players cannot trigger or create AI-generated output of any kind.
The game uses a small number of AI pre-generated images, which do not involve adult content. Other than this, there is no other AI-related content in the game.
This game uses AI to generate placeholder artwork for the card art.
I'm commissioning talented artists like Screwdy Crow https://www.artstation.com/screwdycrow whose art is featured in the screenshots, to gradually replace the AI generated work.
All character images except for the hero classes were created in Daz Studio, and icons were made in Photoshop using Creative Commons assets. Most older backgrounds were later touched up with an AI tool. The story, dialogues, quests, gameplay and balancing were written and crafted by the developer over years of work.
This game used generative AI tools in a limited way during development to assist with some image asset creation (e.g., concept/reference and promotional/UI-related imagery) and code drafting/refactoring. All outputs were reviewed, edited or rewritten, and tested by the development team before being included in the product. The game does not connect to external AI services and does not generate new text, images, or audio in real time during gameplay. All content has been reviewed to avoid copyright or rights infringement.
This game includes an experiment about the perception of human-made and AI art in a multimedia context. To that purpose some of the graphic, music and text assets of the game are generated with the help of AI, while others are human-made. The player is asked at the end of the game to guess which parts were made by AI and which were not.
Use of AI for color enhancement, lighting, and character posing, combined with Adobe suite programs for the final touch.

Some visuals and models used in this game were created with the assistance of AI tools during development. The game does not generate new content in real time during gameplay.
We make use of co-pilot for code checking. We also make use of various tools during development for UV-wrapping & animation. We will use our own in-house proprietary mini-LLM that is packaged within the game to generate some parts of the dialogue.
During the game development process, AI is used to generate some of the art design elements. On the store page, there might be obvious traces of AI, but we will do our best to cover them up.
This game contains Audio and / or Artwork customized with the help of AI tools by our artists, derived from artwork we own commercial rights to use, or artwork done by our own studio.
We pay our artists, and we DO NOT use stolen Artwork.
The character voice used in the demo was generated by artificial intelligence for testing. It will be replaced with real voice acting in the full version.
AI was used as a supportive tool in creating some textures, sprites, and translations. All materials have been ultimately reviewed and finalized by human creators.
Yes, some of the visuals (backgrounds) in our game are prepared with AI. Other than that, the remaining cards, buttons and environmental elements are assets we prepared ourselves.
Pre-Generated Content
AI Tools:
I used Bigbigai (https://www.bigbigai.com) and ERNIE Bot (https://yiyan.baidu.com/) for pre-generated content.
Usage:
Bigbigai: Primarily used to generate all character images, all spaceship images, all cityscape images, all planet images, and some background images. These assets are used in the store interface and the game itself.
ERNIE Bot: Mainly used to generate a small portion of character dialogue and the majority of translation content (from Chinese to English).
Commitment:
All content generated through AI tools is original and does not contain any infringing materials. We strictly adhere to copyright laws, ensuring that all materials used and content generated have legal usage rights or have been authorized by the original creators. Additionally, we ensure that this content aligns with the overall style, storyline, and gameplay of the game, providing players with a more vivid and immersive gaming experience.
Version 1.07: Utilizes third-party AI-generated character images and partial textual content.
Version 1.08: Old AI-generated images, such as background Image (cities) and ships, have been reimagined using new AI technology.
All images in the game were generated using AI technology. This includes character designs, backgrounds, and various visual elements throughout the game. By leveraging AI, our goal was to create unique and visually appealing graphics that enhance the overall gaming experience. Additionally, the music was also generated by AI, contributing to the immersive and original atmosphere of the game.
We used AI technology to generate some images and videos. The images include promotional graphics, game icons, some in-game ending interfaces, and mini-game UI screens. The videos consist of AI-generated segments depicting Fang Xiaoyu at different life stages interacting with Fang Zhilian, scenes showing the post-time-travel daily lives of protagonists from "Game Of Fate" 1-3 series (such as riding mammoths during the Ice Age or landing on another planet in spacesuits), as well as a display case presenting successful case studies of a human cloning program initiated by Chronos Corporation in a parallel timeline. Since these visual scenarios could not be feasibly captured through live-action filming, AI technology was utilized for their production.
