Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We use AI for capsules (Store Page)
The game logo is partly AI generated. One piece of music is AI generated. The computer voice is mainly AI generated.
My approach to AI is that it's better for a game to come out with graphics drawn by a computer than not at all! I have had about TWENTY projects canceled at different times due to the fault of artists! So I'd rather lose part of an unhappy audience than lose it entirely again by relying on humans! All images created by neural networks are included in an external module and can be disabled or replaced with a custom file via Steam Workshop if desired.
The game logo and some of the artwork in the store page were created with the assistance of AI.
I used Ai for the writing and for the naration
AI-assisted tools were used during development for select artwork, marketing materials, and for code bug-checking/optimization. All gameplay, design, balance, and core assets were handcrafted by the developer. The game does not use AI to generate content during play.
Capsule/library artwork is AI generated.
Some minor assets and text were created with the assistance of AI tools during development. All core game design, gameplay systems, programming, and overall art direction were created and implemented by the developer. AI tools were used only as a supportive tool during the development process.
This game uses AI-generated content, including cinematic videos, voices and some images.
ONLY ! Some 2D arts, billboards, and adverts throughout the city are created by AI. It is also used for some of the voice actors.
We used AI image-generation tools when creating some in-game images.
This game uses an on-device AI model to generate NPC dialogue and quest flavor text. AI runs offline, never sends data to servers, and is constrained to the game’s own lore and rules. The system includes strict filters and refusals to block illegal, explicit, or copyrighted content.
AI is used to create, enhance, and upscale some images. AI voiceover is optional (default off).
Some Marketing images are generated with AI.
・Some background images (they have actually been edited before use) ・Certain parts of the in-game code
A small portion of the content in the game was created using AI, but the majority was developed by our team.
AI usage (development & marketing only). Paws & Circuits: Reboot Earth does not generate content live in-game and does not accept user prompts or inputs. During development, generative AI was used as a supportive tool (e.g., for concept iteration, text drafts, a few placeholder voice lines, and select marketing assets and occasional placeholder textures). All outputs were manually reviewed, edited, and curated. The shipped content is static, non-interactive, and contains no live AI and no user-generated content. If any assets are flagged via Steam’s reporting tools, they will be removed or replaced promptly. Over time, placeholders will be gradually replaced with hand-crafted assets. Content notice: Themes of environmental pollution/cleanup and survival (possible death by cold/starvation). No combat, no graphic violence.
We used generative-AI tools during development for some art and audio, plus AI assistants for code and copy edits. All results were reviewed/edited by us. No in-game or real-time AI; no player data is sent to AI services.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create some visual assets (such as UI artwork and promotional images). All AI-assisted assets were reviewed and manually edited to match DraQu’s style and quality standards.
Using a fully completed game design document created by a Software Engineer, 100% of the game's code was generated via an AI Coding Agent. Aside from the fonts and audio assets, all functional and visual components are the result of AI-Generated code.
Some pictures and icons are created and/or modified using AI. Text-to-speech was used for voice recordings.
The developers of this game have used generative AI to create various visual and audio aspects of the experience.
Parts of the visual art assets in this game were created with the assistance of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools. All AI-generated materials have undergone rigorous human curation, modification, and artistic refinement to ensure alignment with the game's overall artistic style. The core gameplay, design, narrative, and all other content of the game are entirely human‑created.
Some writing tools and image-generation processes were used alongside our own artwork. We begin with concepts and exploratory art created in-house, and these tools help us produce consistent final assets when needed.
Localization
Character portraits are pre-rendered by AI along with some voices. These are placeholder assets and will not be in the final product.
The game uses pre-rendered AI generated voices instead of live voice actors, as well as some AI modified artwork for the marketing material, a very small portion of the in game art assets, and some aspects of the introduction video. None of the content is rendered in real time or live-generated.
This game uses generative AI for the creation of the title screen background image, the in-game background music, and various texture images.
some tickets design.
Voice audio generated by ElevenLabs AI. Voice filters and effects do not use AI.
Image Generation. text Generation. coding
Generative AI was used solely for localization, including the translation of in-game text into multiple languages.
Some images, textures, text elements, sounds, music, names, and marketing copy for the game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools.
As an independent developer, I use generative AI in a limited capacity solely for producing certain human-like voice clips and displaying animated visuals within the game. AI is not used to create game text, characters, core content, or dynamic programming during gameplay. All other game assets are created manually by me and fully comply with copyright and safety requirements.
Title: Disclosure of AI-Generated Content Disclaimer: This game contains art assets that were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated content was heavily curated, edited, and modified by our human art team to ensure it aligns with the game's unique artistic vision and quality standards. We affirm that we have the appropriate rights to all assets, both AI-generated and human-created, used in our game.
All code, graphical assets, and music is 100% ORIGINAL. The cartoon people seen in the trailer were generated with AI. These images make an appearance in short videos played between chapters, and are skippable. No other AI was used for the making of this game.
We use AI to generate some graphic assets.
Some of the music used in the game and promotional materials was generated or composed using artificial intelligence systems.
While developing the game we used various AI software to generate background images for our levels. Overall, we created more than 20,000 image out of which we selected the ones to be used in this first game release. We then further edited these / combined them in a photo editor to create the final background renderings seen in the game. Some of these images are also visible on the Steam Store page. However, the game itself does not use on-the-fly generative AI while the game is running. All AI images were pre-rendered during the development phase. We also used AI to generate background music for all levels. We create over two hundred hours of such music, and then edited these to better suite our needs. The game itself does not contain any real time generative AI for music.
Main title splash picture partially AI generated.
Every asset in Cyber Sprinters is handmade except for the music. All in game music is AI-Generated.
This game includes AI-generated English voice and minor content.
Used AI only for making Game Logo and BGM.
AI was used initially to prototype a design of the logo for the 1st game Astro Fighters. This design has been manually adjusted from the AI concept and now forms a part of the Astro Fighters and Astro Fighters 2 logo designs.
Some base images for in-game media (wall ads) are made with generative AI, and then added to with image-manipulation software.
Some graphical assets, musical assets, localization, and portions of code were partially created with the assistance of generative AI programs and large language models (LLMs).
Some UI icons were created using AI. The English, French, and Russian localizations were made by human translators; all other localizations were made with AI.
- AI-assisted localization - AI-generated logbook voice - AI-assisted creation of select icons
Some visual assets in the game were created using AI.
Game uses AI only for visual and text content. Card illustrations and free avatars were created with the help of AI tools. Some in-game texts were edited using AI.
