Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I'm using AI to generate images for the Store page and the illustration of the main menu.
"The Madness of Billiards" uses artificial intelligence exclusively for generating certain pre-rendered images and some voice effects in the game. These AI-generated assets contribute to the game's immersive experience but are not used for live content generation or code modifications during gameplay.
Steam store page capsule art appears is pre-generated AI art.
We used AI to create the capsules for the game's store page.
AI generated paintings on wall and localization
The game uses Artificial Intelligence to only generate the main image of the game, that is the logo image, that is shown in the cover of the game, the store pages, and the launch icon.
AI like ChatGPT is used to check edit dialog and UI texts because English is my second language. Let me know if I made mistakes anyway.
HUMAN FREELANCE ARTISTS designed the locations and the characters' original looks. Proofs https://five-mysterious-murders.com/artwork/2.jpg https://five-mysterious-murders.com/artwork/1.jpg However, I enriched some artwork using AI to make the game look more diverse. Voice acting was done entirely by AI. I will replace everything made by AI as soon as I have a bit of money. If this doesn't work for you, please don't buy the game. Yours, Silencer
In the game's marketing materials, artificial intelligence was used as a visual component.
Some use of AI to generate background music, text or other artwork that is then heavily edited and vetted and appears in the game seamlessly with the large amount of hand-made artwork, to help fill gaps in a small low-budget production and enhance the overall experience.
As a two man bootstrapped indie team, achieving our game's vision without AI would have been literally impossible. We have used AI tools such as Midjourney for item icons, some materials in game, & parts of our trailers. We also used AI such as Soundraw.io for our soundtrack in-game, Suno for trailer music, Elevenlabs for voice acting, and a few other AI tools for technical areas of the game.
Artificial intelligence support was used in the pictures that are not in the game, but only on the steam page.
I use generative AI to create some of the artwork for the game. All generated artwork is cleaned and/or edited by me in Photoshop before publishing.
The game features images generated in advance by artificial intelligence for metro advertising banners.
In the early stage of game design, AI tools are used to generate the first draft of the picture (such as scene composition, character outline, etc.), which is only used for internal creative reference. All the pictures used in the later stage are hand-painted by professional painters. In the end, there is no visual material generated by AI in the game.
Some of the content is generated by AI.
Some icons were generated by AI.
Use of AI in our game: We utilize advanced AI technologies to generate code and create pre-rendered images for the steam store page.
This game features AI-generated NPC voice lines and AI-generated store artwork.
In my game, the main character's voice is AI-generated, and I purchased Eleven Labs' starter pack for it, which gives me the rights for commercial use.
I created the original sound tracks of Mad Miner 2 with artificial intelligence.
Some images in the game were partly created using artificial intelligence, being creatively adjusted to match the concept of the game.
Some sound effects generated by ElevenLabs The opening title screen was created using fusionbrain
Store and library page illustration.
Some in-game images are generated using AI. We would like to replace this images with an artist when we can afford it, but for now it is there. Some of the code was assisted VIA AI for teaching and troubleshooting.
AI was just used to make code for enemies, and the camera movement. Every other piece of code is made with visual scripting tools with unity.
The vast majority of art materials in this game are generated using AI. But the generated art materials are mostly scenes, food, tables, chairs, benches, etc., so there is no copyright issue.

Use of Generative AI This game makes selective use of generative AI tools as part of its development pipeline. Generative AI has been used to assist in the creation of certain visual elements, including concept art, some 3D environment assets, NPC prototyping, and promotional/store imagery. These tools are integrated as part of a broader creative workflow. Some narrative texts, descriptions, and written content were generated, refined, or edited with the assistance of AI tools, based on original ideas, concepts, and direction provided by the author. The core design, gameplay systems, level design, programming, balancing, and a significant portion of the art and world-building have been handcrafted and developed directly by the creator using industry-standard tools. Generative AI is used as a complementary tool to enhance productivity and support creative iteration, while maintaining full creative direction and artistic control.
In the creation of this game, generative AI technologies were utilized to enhance the player experience in the following ways: - Question and Answer Creation: Generative AI was used to craft engaging and diverse questions, as well as corresponding answers, which form an essential part of the gameplay. This helped in generating a wide variety of content to keep the experience fresh and challenging for players. - Voice Over: AI-powered voice synthesis was employed to produce dynamic voice-overs for various in-game dialogues and narrations. This technology allowed for the creation of multiple voices and accents, adding depth and diversity to the characters and world of the game. - Translation: AI-driven translation services were used to provide multilingual support, allowing players from different linguistic backgrounds to enjoy the game in their native language. This approach enabled faster localization while maintaining accuracy and consistency across different languages. These AI tools were used as part of our development process to improve efficiency and enrich the game's content, ensuring a more immersive experience for players.
This game is using generative AI for placeholder voiceover, music, character portraits and other 2D artwork.

Created some game promotional images and icons using AI tools
Please be aware that some of the store images for "Unemployment Simulator," including capsule images, have been created with the assistance of generative AI technology. These images are placeholder assets and may be replaced before the game is available for purchase. We want to emphasize that generative AI has only been used for creating certain store assets. The game itself does not contain any AI-generated content or use AI technology in its gameplay or mechanics. Our commitment is to provide an authentic and immersive gaming experience that accurately reflects the challenges of unemployment in a modern setting, crafted entirely by our development team.
AI-generated artifacts
This game uses generative AI during development to create initial concepts and some game art, which are then carefully edited and arranged by hand by our artist. All final in-game assets are curated to ensure a cohesive artistic style and high-quality experience.
Some 2d content, some texts and simple sounds was made with AI help, but then than was careful polishing. Thanks all, that you can help to make all it real!
No generative AI content.
