Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI generation used for some card illustrations.
The visual assets in this game were created using AI-generated artwork. AI tools were used to generate images that were then curated and integrated into the game. AI-generated artwork was also used for the game's Steam capsule art and store page assets.
Images was created by AI GigaChat (Sber) Some code fragments was wroten by ChatGPT
I used AI Art for the store page and some of the game assets. I used GitHub CoPilot, ChatGPT and other LLMs for to diagnose code issues.
Generative AI was used to partially create the background images on the marketing assets.. The game itself is hand-crafted, hand-drawn, and animated by a human hand!
Along with traditional art the game makes use of art assets generated by AI based algorithms. The campaign voice is generated by a licensed AI tool. All AI assets are commercially licensed.
AI used to generate placeholder artwork for cards, which will later be replaced.
Unsung Ballads uses AI pre-rendered images (via Leonardo.AI) as elements for its marketing material, some backgrounds, and some story illustrations.
Some visuals and audio are AI generated.
Due to budget constraints, some graphics in the game, such as the main interface and event images within events, are AI pre-generated.
I plan on phasing out the AI generated content and replacing it with my own assets as development continues.
AI helped with store page text, and players may upload mods with AI content.
Temporary Artworks and Music
Our game's library images (except for the logo with the words "Investormania"), images on the in-game loading screen, in-game avatars are generated with artificial intelligence.
Artwork for the cards was created using local AI models.
As a solo dev, I use Midjourney to fill in some gaps including upgrade and achievement icons.
Most art in the game is AI generated then edited.
Part of the game images are generated by AI
As a solo developer, I use AI to brainstorm drafts for some of the 2D assets, which I then edit by hand. These will be replaced with hand-drawn assets by release.
To create a unique art style, I employed various technical methods during development, including the use of AI-generated tools to assist in producing some of the materials. These tools significantly streamlined my workflow as a solo developer, allowing me to focus more on core gameplay and detailed refinement. This approach ultimately delivers a richer and more immersive post-apocalyptic world for players. All content has been carefully curated, refined, and integrated to ensure it aligns with the game’s overall quality and artistic vision, while also complying with applicable copyright regulations.
This work extensively uses AI-generated images for the 2D art portion, while all 3D elements are created entirely by ourselves.
All of the art used in Zero Division is commissioned from (human) artists. However, one of the artists uses generative AI tools in the production of the commissioned work.
The game uses AI-generated images. Some character's voices and sounds are AI-generated. Some texts are assisted by artificial intelligence.
Card Survival: Tropical Island - The First Days used an early version of MidJourney exclusively to generate character portraits.
WUS features ai generated static 2D art
The poetry in Verses of Enchantment is generated using a custom AI model trained on curated public domain texts. All other content (art, sound, dialogues, animation, ...) is created by humans and is attributed to them.
Some AI generated 2d art (in events and menu)
Character voices in game are AI generated.
In the initial creation of illustrations for the maps, neural networks were used, followed by refinement by the artist.
Currently most translations are done using mix of Google translation and LLMs.
Some card illustrations, event images, and background art were partially created using AI-assisted tools.
In the interest of transparency, illustrations were created with the help of AI-assisted tools, used as creative support within a human-led artistic process.
Dev uses generative AI tools to help develop some in game assets.
AI art is used as placeholder for cards who's artwork is not yet finished. We are regularly replacing artwork with hand made artwork. The final product won't have any ai or placeholder artwork.
Dynamic Aging: Unit portraits realistically age over time. Each character is initially AI-generated and then hand-finished by our artist.
AI tools were used in the creation of some of the 2D art.
Visual Assets: Some static assets, such as enemy hit reactions, were initially generated with AI-based tools and then edited by hand.
The picture is partially participated by ai, manually modified, and the animation is manually produced
Some images are generated using AI.
Card Survival: Tropical Island used an early version of MidJourney exclusively to generate character portraits.
Erannorth Chronicles is a solo development effort that uses thousands of licensed stock artworks, sound effects, and music from various artists. Some of these graphical assets, such as card art, UI elements, and event covers, could have been created using generative AI technologies or AI-based tools by their creators. Don't buy this game if you are not comfortable with this possibility.
A majority of the static image content, the character portrait animations in the Character Select screen, and some flavor text on playable cards, had AI play a role in their development. Some notable exceptions to this are: The card frame artwork for all cards, which were created by a contracted artist. Our capsule and header images, which were created by a contracted artist. Some enemy portraits. Marketing materials which include artwork from the capsule and header. All narrative and dialogue text, which was written by the team. We would like to extend a special thank you to the select family and friends who volunteered their likenesses for use as models for some of our main characters. It is deeply appreciated and we enjoyed working with you.
The game contains about 2,000 unique pre-rendered player portraits that were algorithmically generated and (badly) touched up by me, a human. The stadium backdrop image used in promotional material and on the home screen is likewise generated.
We use the IA to create 10 small portrait for the monster that you encounter into the campaign mode.
Pre-rendered AI generated images may be used for card art.
Regarding AI usage: The game employs AI in only two areas 1. Character voice lines (disabled by default) The ultra-large script (800k words) makes authentic voice acting financially unaffordable for our small studio. 2. "Seek Answers" function in the game lobby’s Sosoth (NPC) interaction interface For entertainment purposes, we used AI chat. What we can guarantee: Beyond these, translation, scripts, design, art, animation, and other game components absolutely did not use AI.
For ideation and references only.
Some of our card art was produced with AI-generated images which our artists painted over and edited before animating the finished card. Some older marketing and website material has been AI-generated as well.
Remastered and restyled versions of card images
