Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

This game features voice acting and ambient music created using ElevenLabs. We exclusively use Professional Voice Clones (PVC) from the ElevenLabs Voice Library, which are created with the explicit consent and verification of the original voice actors. Through ElevenLabs’ Royalty Sharing program, the voice artists are financially compensated for their work used in this project.

Using AI for the store page and store and Steam icons
There are two A.I. Minds within BQ. The first mind creates the content/visuals. The second mind interacts with the player in the form of attackable NPCs or friendly NPCs. But both minds never communicate with each other, and the first mind never communicates with the player.
Some voiceovers in demo, some advertising materials.
AI is used for localization, voice acting, in-game cutscenes, artworks and other marketing materials.
This game contains user-generated content, which may contain AI generated stuff. We don't AI generate anything.
Capsule art and one or two textures made partly with the help of generative AI.
Generation of Textures and Icons offline. Training of Deep Learning Models for Image Generation. LLMs for Coding, Spelling Correction and Translation.
Certain in-game Icons and textures may be generated with AI.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them. Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools. Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
Voice Acting (But this is just a template that we will later replace with real voice actors.)
Posters、part of UI icons、a few portraits of Npcs are generated by AI
AI was used to help with translating content , generate visual ideas or content that our artists and content creators use later.
Some graphics, music, and translations were created with the help of AI and refined manually.
The background of our logo is generated by AI. As a solo developer I've been 100% focused on gameplay and have not had the time or resources to work with an artist for marketing and social materials. Hopefully as we grow our community during Early Access we can find a few artists that are passionate about creating personalized content that best represent Nova. Nothing in-game is generated by AI.
The storefront Logo for this game was created with the help of AI-assisted tools and was then further developed through manual work — modified, improved, and integrated to align with the game’s overall style and vision. No other AI generation was used in the development of this game.
Some game content, marketing materials, and character voices for Medieval Frontiers were created or translated with the assistance of AI tools. While we use these technologies to support our workflow, every feature and narrative beat is a result of our team’s deliberate creative decisions. The final experience is hand-guided by our vision to ensure the world feels authentic to our players.
We use AI for some 3d models and images, but most of the content created is not generated by AI.
AI interface images
Generation of some images and textures. Additional generation of locations (grass, rocks, vegetation). Rough text processing and translations into other languages.
We leveraged AI-generated content to enrich our game with elements that would have been otherwise challenging to include. Specifically, we used AI for the AI character voiceover in different languages, a feature made possible thanks to this technology. In this case it made even more sense since the character is actually an AI. Otherwise, all the core art and visual elements of the game have been designed by human talents.
AI-generated images were used as marketing material.
Artificial Intelligence is used in the background images on trading cards.
By integrating OpenAI's technology, users can generate unique high-quality images that serve as components for their tabletop games. This feature requires a free external account created with your email address. The core application remains fully functional without registration.
Some of the voice-over dialogs during the introduction cut-scene are computer generated. Some of the images during the introduction cut-scene were stylized using generative AI.
We are a small indie team and as our game includes close to 200 characters you can interact with, we have used Midjourney to produce their portraits for the Early Access release of the game. Depending on feedback we may revisit this at a later stage.
While almost the entirety of the game is human-made, there are still some places where AI was used to speed up work, data validation or help with tedious tasks - such as converting old crafting recipes to a new format, improving wording of some in-game item descriptions, or generating placeholder thumbnails for internal use (e.g. testing GUI layout and renderer).
