Public Steam disclosure research25,376 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The key idea behind this game is to allow players to generate their own situations, scenarios, effects etc, and for that content to be visible by other players. This demands the use of AI and without AI this game can't exist.
The specific art and style shown so far is subject to change based on the general player feedback.
The skill display images are all generated using the text description of VIP Midjourney, based on the creative ideas of the author (myself). Not referencing any copyrighted images. Having specificity and uniqueness. There are no copyright related issues.
AI is used to generate the handful of character portraits. Original prompts describing each character is used, and iteratively adjusted to discover the final image that represents the character we imagine to be in our story world.
The creative process taken to generate each character starts first with an imagination of what the inhabitants of the game's fantasy world setting would look like, including the personalities, outfit, abilities, jobs, and overall stylistic theme of the game, while balancing between character uniqueness versus technical complexity to implement.
To avoid any legal issues, we use original prompts written by ourselves using generic descriptive keywords, without reference to any names of artists or existing creative works.
In Project ZETA, AI-generated content is actively utilized across various domains, including animation, sound, character design, and VFX. However, such content is employed solely to enhance development efficiency; all final art assets are meticulously reviewed and completed by designers to align with the project’s creative direction.
Some images in the game are created using generative ai. We understand that the use of generative AI in creating some of the images in our game may not align with everyone’s preferences. However, as a small studio with a limited budget, we are exploring every available option to bring our vision to life. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
* The background scene of the in-door shooting range is AI generated
* Some of the widgets use pre-rendered graphics
* Some voice overs for widgets use pre-rendered AI files
Some of our artwork is placeholder AI. We have decided to use AI art to allow us to quickly test cards and features that are rapidly changing. We consider AI art as a development tool and not as a substitute for talented artists. We respect the concerns the community has about the use of AI artwork and plan to remove all AI art from the game as cards and features become locked. This means AI art will be removed iteratively during Early Access, with Village Studio committed to it being completely removed by full launch.
During the development of this game, we utilised generative AI tools to assist with tasks such as code completion, optimisation, and drafting small code snippets. This use was for developer assistance during the creation process. All final assets, code, and gameplay systems were reviewed and authored by our development team to ensure originality and compliance with legal and copyright standards. No in-game content is dynamically generated by AI.
We use AI only to create some images and videos inside the game and some images and videos on the store. All the source code is made by hand, no IA was used for the creation of this game
Character and hero images are generated as placeholders and we are in the process of hiring artists to replace the art.
100% of the game's profit goes to replacing AI art.
Currently >50% of art is already replaced (non-AI).
We are using artist assisted AI. In that the artist draws and designs the characters and than the AI will help to polish and clean up the drawing up. That enables us to have a fast turnaround for many characters.
We created our in-game cards through an artificial intelligence-based system that is popular in our world. These cards are created from many people's personal dreams and ideas.
The intro video was created by reprocessing AI-generated footage.
30% of the English and Chinese translations, excluding Korean, were generated by AI.
Other languages were mostly translated by AI.
Use of AI for Artistic Elements:
In Z Ops: Deadzone, we use artificial intelligence to generate certain artistic assets, including characters, environments, and icons. AI allows us to explore a wide variety of visual styles and create graphical elements more efficiently. Each AI-generated asset is carefully refined to ensure it aligns with the overall art direction of the game and integrates seamlessly into the game’s universe. This approach helps speed up the creative process while maintaining a consistent and immersive quality.
The game banner was generated with AI based on a screenshot taken from our game. We chose a graphical style different from the one in-game.
We also used IA to generate musics for our game.
We use graphical asset generation for items like Menus, Backgrounds, or any assets which will help improve the User Interface.
All AI generated content is carefully reviewed, regulated, and adjusted to fit our game before being rendered.
As an independent developer, I use AI during development as a learning and workflow assistant.
It helps me understand tools, write a small portion of code, and polish some localization.
All final content in the game is personally reviewed and tested.
During development, our team MAY use assistive AI design tools to support the creation of certain static visual graphic elements, such as logos, graphics, and UI. Any such materials are further refined and shaped by our artists to ensure they align with the creative direction and standards of Method of Entry.
These tools allow us to maintain a high level of visual quality for the best experience possible from our small development team.
Some images in the game were partly designed by artificial intelligence image generation. They were adapted in a unique way to fit in the general theme.
Core design elements including units, animations, visual effects and sound effects were all created by real artists. AI tools were used solely for supporting assets like background images, portraits, buttons, and background music. These AI-generated assets were subsequently modified by our team. This approach enabled our three-person team to concentrate on core design and game mechanics.
Collapsed State is a project created by the RevoltGPT to showcase the power of our proprietary game development platform!
This project was created almost entirely using our proprietary AI game engine editor, which you can use yourself at https://revoltgpt.dev!
Thank you so much to our community for coming together to turn this project into a reality, we truly appreciate each and every one of you!
